Chapter 202: The Extinct Firebird
In the village of Phalen, Seraph stood watching the battle of the warriors of the Lanna Sect from the audience seat in the castle.
The old man who led the charge gave the order, "Hurry! Our hero has sacrificed himself to lure those demons. Don't let that man's efforts go to waste!"
The Lanna Sect members responded in unison, "Yes, sir!"
Swarms of skeletons rushed in.
But they couldn't escape the warriors' grasp.
The numbers had been greatly reduced by the attack on the demon horde, and the spells used to attack the Lanna Sect had destroyed many of the skeletons.
Boom!
The old man shouted, looking in the direction the man had lured the demons.
Hence, the crisis was instantly eased.
Seraph sat waiting to see the outcome and would follow the group.
Outside the castle, Phalen held a sword with red blood on it. It flowed all over his body.
His face showed a lazy expression, like he hadn't eaten dinner.
Phalen stared at the white bone holding the katana. The cracks on his body were increasing.
"Sigh... So that's how it is. I get it now. You must be the corpse of someone from a very long, long time ago. Or maybe it's just the past, let's just say the past."
Phalen kept his tone indifferent.
"Is that right? I was thinking, with skill like this, there must be something. As expected, a former master of swordsmanship,
still able to fight me with such a physique. How interesting."
The bone ran towards Phalen. Whoosh! White Bone came close, the katana in his hand, slashing horizontally. Pew!
Phalen swung his sword to block the attack. Whoosh! Boom!
"But unfortunately, your body is very weak right now. That's why it's so sad." To defeat a strong man like you!
Phalen swung his sword and stabbed at White Bone's stomach. Whoosh!
White Bone swung his sword back to meet the attack. Whoosh! Boom!
White Bone tilted his head slightly, and the katana slashed at White Bone's right arm. Whoosh!
BOOM!
Phalen looked shocked. His right arm, which had been holding the sword, was severed, revealing red blood and multicolored bones and veins.
Red blood gushed out. Phalen's eyes were filled with shock, their eyes shaking with shock.
White Bone's katana swung at Phalen. Whoosh!
Phalen used his fourth skill, {Eyes Closed}. His red eyes blocked the attack. Whoosh! Boom!
Phalen lunged back away from White Bone. Whoosh!
Phalen stared in shock, his right hand falling to the ground. Floating in mid-air, whoosh!
White Bone slashed Phalen's hand. Whoosh! Boom!
Blood and bone were split into several pieces.
Phalen floated back, his expression puzzled. "What do you mean?"
White Bone suddenly increased his speed dramatically.
Phalen grabbed his right arm. Blood wouldn't stop flowing, his sleepy eyes turning alert.
"What's changed?"
White Bone stared at the bone katana in his hand, his expression turning suspicious.
White Bone looked up at the sky. A bone demon floated down. Whoosh!
A bone bird demon descended. Whoosh! White Bone grabbed the katana and slashed in mid-air, splitting the bone bird demon in half. Whoosh! Boom!
White Bone looked in a direction, towards the entrance to Pokraras Village.
Phalen created a fire eye. Several stars appeared, ready to attack White Bone.
"There seems to be something. Don't be careless."
White Bone looked at Phalen, his white eyes staring at Phalen.
His right hand was poised to thrust his katana into the sky.
White energy shone with a pure white aura.
The bone's right hand still held the katana.
Phalen saw White Bone's other hand, with its beautiful, illusory arm, holding the other katana.
The bone's hand pointed the katana down toward his own brain. Whoosh! Boom! The katana was lodged in his head.
White Bone's body exploded with a boom! Bone fragments scattered everywhere, unable to withstand the pressure of the sword technique. Boom!
The katana in his hand shattered, and this victory was Phalen's victory.
Phalen stood there, confused as to what had just happened.
"Yay... I win?"
Phalen held his arm and stared for a moment. "Well, I won this fight. If I had committed suicide in the first place, Why did you have to fight?
Phalen stopped the bleeding and looked around. There were only traces of battle.
The old Seraph, the leader, had taken command and defeated all the demons around the castle.
The old man shouted, "Hurry! This is our chance! We're heading towards the Lanna Sect. If we make it, we'll all be saved!"
The villagers cheered, "Yay! We're saved!"
The old man led the crowd, and the villagers and commoners followed, protected by the Lanna Sect's guards.
After a while, Phalen joined the old man, tying his right arm and bandaging it to stop the bleeding.
Phalen ran up to stand beside the old man. "It's all taken care of... Can I rest now? I'm exhausted already."
The old man glared at Phalen. "Are you kidding me? Why did you break your arm?"
Phalen pointed at himself, his face looking like he was about to cry. "That's so cruel! Why would Master talk to his disciple like that?"
"Someone said you only dealt with a single bone? Are you trying to escape?" "
"It can't be helped, sir. Those bones are very strong. By the way, Master, is there any history of a brutal katana wielder who died at this place?"
The old man began to think, then remembered something. "Oh, oh, I remember now."
Phalen listened intently.
"The answer is, when is the right time? Look after the back of the group, I'll look after the front. Remember that. Pay attention.
This is no joke. The lives of the villagers are at stake. If you play around again, you know what's coming, right?"
Phalen yawned lazily. "Yes, yes, yes, yes. I'll do my best. Before the villagers die, I must die first. I know that."
"Very good. Hurry up and leave before I get even angrier."
"Understood, the mighty Phalen, who lost an arm." I'll work hard. "
The old man felt like he was being talked down to. "Get lost, kid."
Phalen ran off, running to the back.
He saw Seraph among the fleeing people. "What? You survived? I thought you were killed by that demon horde."
Phalen ran.
Seraph followed the crowd. [Sigh, I hope nothing happened.]
With Seraph's words in his mind, Lek Lek's wish was granted.
Demons in the sky descended in great numbers. They were bony bird demons, half the size of a human, resembling bees.
Over a thousand of them, they flew down with the sound of their wings flapping at high speed. Whoosh! Whoosh!
The old man gasped as he saw the swarm of demons flying towards him. Whoosh! Whoosh!
Over a thousand bony bees flew across the sky. Their eyes were green, and the needles stuck to their butts were made of bone.
Rushing down, phew!
"Goodbye, what a wonderful life!" the old man said, no longer having the strength to fight the demons in the sky.
Seraph stopped completely, not looking up at the sky, his attention focused on what was behind him.
Behind him, there was a sound of something rushing towards the group. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Seraph turned to see a bony snake with green eyes as long as a house sprinting along the ground.
The bony snake was charging at great speed from a great distance.
The snake, made of bone, was approaching the fleeing group.
Phalen, the one running ahead, sighed. "What? You finally survived?"
Phalen's gaze shifted to the people who had stopped running, their feet unable to move.
Aside from waiting for help to protect them, the others couldn't escape.
Fear radiated from the eyes of many.
"Goodbye."
"What?"
"I'm going to find it."
"Does heaven exist?"
"Someone, stop it?"
The sounds of despair echoed, along with the people's farewells.
Phalen took a breath. "Alright. Hero Phalen, open the coffin, hoping to create a tombstone and honor for me."
Phalen charged at full speed. Whoosh! Boom!
Phalen pulled out a magical item. It looked like a red circle, resembling a red bird, the size of a hand.
"A fifth-level magical item, the Extinct Firebird. It's very expensive. It can only be used once. Plus, I'll probably be crippled."
Phalen added spiritual power. Spirit power surged out of the Extinct Firebird.
A red flame glowed. "The work begins."
