Chapter 173: The Horse of the Torem
The Horse Stables, Fiernin School
Many horses are lined up.
Seraph followed the old stablekeeper to a place.
Seraph looked at him with a puzzled expression, then became confused for a moment.
The horse in front of him, of all the horses, was completely black, with white eyes mixed with red. Both sides looked like they had horizontal wounds.
The horse was half the size of a tree, and it had a calm demeanor.
"This is the best horse, you can take it."
Seraph nodded. "Yes, I'll take this one."
Seraph handed the old man the seal of Xixuan. "And if Master Xixuan comes here, please return the seal."
"Is it my duty?" The old man considered refusing.
Seraph nodded. "You can hand it to me when Master Xisuan comes."
"Tch, fine. Where are you going? How many days?"
"About a week or almost a month?"
"Then," the old man picked up a brown bag of feed. "This is enough for a month's worth of horse food."
Seraph took the bag and held it. It was so heavy that Seraph dropped to the ground with a thud!
Seraph looked at the bag that had fallen to the ground. "Isn't it for eating grass from the roadside?"
"The others eat grass from the roadside. This one is special, so it must eat the good stuff. Or you can eat it along the way. I don't mind."
Seraph carried the brown bag. "Then, goodbye. I'll leave it to you."
Seraph handed the old man his seal.
The old man accepted it with a calm expression.
Seraph stepped aside, allowing the horse to walk out.
The jet-black horse walked out, majestic and graceful.
His eyes secretly stared at Seraph.
The old man spoke up. "This horse is called Torem. It's a breed of horse... ...------."
The old man spoke at great length about horse breeds.
Seraph nodded, raising his hand to stop him. After so much time had passed, he still had to listen. "I understand. I know it's a wonderful breed. Can I take it now?"
The old man snorted. "Tch," he said. "This is it, amateur riders. This is a very tough horse. You can ride it. If it doesn't accept you as its master, we'll have to change it."
Seraph nodded, grabbed the horse with his right hand, hugged it with his left, and jumped up to ride it. Thud!
Torem didn't show any signs of disobedience.
Seraph looked proud. "Very good. It seems very obedient."
The old man was a little puzzled. "Why are you so obedient!?"
The old man expressed his displeasure. "You little brat, what have you done!?"
"You talk to me like a brat, I almost cried. But how is this thing controlled?"
"Never mind, old man." "How is it controlled? You look at the rope protruding from Torem's nose. You use that to control him...?"
The old man wondered something about Seraph's question.
"Wait, have you never ridden a horse before!?"
As soon as the old man finished speaking, Torem's hind legs swung, kicking Torem. Boom!
Ugh!?
The old man was shocked to the core. Torem had kicked him in the stomach, leaving a horse's paw imprint on his stomach.
Torem's mouth opened wide. With a shocked expression, he was knocked unconscious by the Thorem's kick.
Seraph tried to control the Thorem.
Seraph took a moment, and the Thorem bounced back and forth.
The ground was covered in dust.
Seraph took a moment and was able to stop the Thorem's movement.
Seraph looked around and saw the other horses standing there, staring at him.
The old man lay unconscious by the Thorem's foot.
Seraph sighed to himself. [This is unfortunate. I better get out of here before it becomes a big deal.]
Seraph took the bag of food and put it in the 100% Luck system. "Then let's set off."
Seraph rode out of the stable. The sound of the horse's feet thumping reverberated.
The old man lay unconscious on the stubble.
Seraph took a detour to the back instead of the front, to avoid the Seeing People
Time passed among the many trees.
A Torem horse ran at speed, with a seraph sitting on it.
The seraph looked at the Torem horse. "I know a little about how to control it. The rope is the control rod, used to give commands. Like in the movies I've seen, you slam both feet against the horse to stimulate it to speed up. If you want to stop, you pull the rope towards you. Easy as that."
Time began to pass.
As Seraph was riding his horse, he heard the sound of a creature rushing towards him.
Seraph turned to look in the direction of the sound. "Thud, thud, thud."
He saw a demon shaped like a tiger with two horns, blue diamonds dotted across its body, and a snake's tail plastered across its back. It had red eyes and an orange body. It was charging at him, its body half the size of a tree.
It had a sharp, pointed mouth, chasing Seraph.
Seraph surveyed the scene fearlessly. "So, let's test this out. Between the Thorem and the little tiger, who's faster?"
Seraph stomped his feet along the Thorem's body to gain speed.
The Thorem roared and charged forward at high speed. Pewwwwwww!
Seraph smiled, finally closing the distance between the demon and the little tiger.
The little tiger saw the distance growing closer to Seraph.
A blue light radiated from the diamonds and the tiger's body. Spiritual energy was replenished.
The little tiger released a burst of fire energy. And he charged straight towards Seraph. Pewwww!
Torem sped up, but couldn't shake him off.
Tiger started to follow, catching up little by little.
Seraph sighed, seeing Tiger gradually accelerating.
"It can't be helped. Now, it's time to kill the enemy."
Seraph reached into the 100% Luck system and pulled out something.
Tiger sprinted through the trees with a loud bang.
Seraph pulled out something from the system. It looked like a catching net.
Seraph looked at the net in his hand. "Hunters usually use this to catch monsters, but whatever, I'll use this to catch you."
The net shaped like a net. Thrown forward. Whoosh!
A light brown net unfurled, ready to catch Tiger.
Tiger ignored the net in front of him and charged straight into it. Pewwww! Boom!
The net was shattered and burned to ashes.
Seraph remained silent. "Forget it! This is the world of martial arts. What can a normal net do!?"
Seraph smiled. "That's just a trick. This is the real deal!"
Seraph pointed his golden pistol, with the word "luck" etched on it.
"Lucky Gun," I call it. This bullet will hit its target. It can only be fired once a day. The direction is unpredictable, because it grants luck."
The firing sound was deafening.
The golden bullet shot straight for the Thorem Horse's tail. Boom!
The Thorem Horse's tail was torn apart. The bullet was a random shot.
The bullet struck Thorem's tail, severing it.
Seraph saw his "Lucky Gun" cut Thorem's tail.
He was speechless. [Nice shot, damn gun?]
The Thorem Horse's tail was severed, its eyes turning red all over.
From running away He charged at the little tiger instead. Boom!
The little tiger was caught off guard by the Thorem's sudden leap.
The Thorem came to a stop right in front of the little tiger, both of its front legs smashing into the little tiger's head. Boom!
The little tiger's skull was completely smashed by the surprise attack. The Thorem's eyes were blazing red, displaying his rage.
The little tiger had died, blood splattering red along with pieces of flesh.
Hence, Seraph managed to escape with a lucky shot.
Seraph was a little confused, recalling the horse's request for a horse: "A horse with strength?"
