So... why have you come here... It seems you are the destined resetter from the future..."
—A being from the past
The sky was shrouded in darkness... like a giant beast from the abyss devouring the light. The entire sky was as still as if it had lost hope, and the birds flying above seemed lifeless.
Beneath this shrouded shadow, there lay an island... The animals and plants upon it were a strange black. The animals' fur was a strange black, their eyes filled with greed. The leaves of the plants also gradually took on a strange gray, and the branches twisted strangely.
A chilling wind blew across the island, and deep within it... a faint, eerie chanting could be heard. This chanting was filled with an eerie, bewitching feeling. A low, muffled voice.
The source of this eerie chanting was a building on this island, decorated to resemble a church. However, this church was utterly bizarre, its murals adorning the walls revealing a strange and peculiar atmosphere.
The mural depicted the entire group worshipping an eyeball, which possessed twisted, deformed, and strangely shaped wings. Within the church, several figures in red robes, presumably members of the cult, were emblazoned with various ancient characters and eyes.
The cultists, in their robed hands, gently held an animal skull. They slowly walked to a wall, picked up a knife, and slowly sawed the animal's head apart. They gently removed the sawed-off skull. Only the animal's head was visible.
The believers poured the blood onto the wall, lit candles, and knelt. They closed their eyes, placed their hands in strange positions, and began to chant incomprehensible words.
Then the believers looked up at the wall. Carved into it was an eyeball, identical to the one in the mural outside the church. As if hearing the call, the eyeball began to slowly bleed, then emitted an eerie red glow. All the worshippers gazed at the eyeball with hopeful eyes.
On the other side...
Distortion stood on the balcony, watching the moonlight shine on the sea. Every grain of sand shimmered in the moonlight, appearing exceptionally beautiful.
Distortion gazed at the sand and sighed softly. "Such a beautiful scene...how disgusting..." Distortion frowned as he gazed at the beach. He raised his hand and waved it. The moon in the sky was instantly shrouded by dark clouds...In that instant, the entire continent, once bathed in moonlight, was swallowed by darkness.
Distortion smiled with satisfaction at the scene and turned to the soldiers who had arrived. "So...how are your preparations going...?" Distortion looked down at the kneeling soldier, slowly raising his hand to pick up a grape beside him and placing it in his mouth.
"My Emperor, I have assembled a force of 100,000 men, enough to flatten all of Atlantis..." The soldier lowered his head, supporting himself with one hand, his armor gradually revealing strange tentacles.
Distortion's lips curled up... "Okay... I hope you can do it... Otherwise, you know the consequences of your failure..." Distortion intimidated the soldier with a powerful, unyielding, and overwhelming aura.
The soldier nodded solemnly... then slowly stood up and walked out of the palace gate. Distortion then looked up at the sky, his lips curled slightly as he spoke, "Heaven's chosen one... I hope you won't let me down... Of course... I will torture you..." Then Distortion raised his head and began He laughed wildly, his laughter tinged with madness and evil, as if it could penetrate people's hearts...filling them with fear.
In Atlantis...Taga was walking down the street, being warmly welcomed by the residents because he had defeated the many sea monsters that had harmed them and cut off their food supply. Walking along the street, Taga listened with joy to the residents' praise, feeling satisfied and proud at this honor. Slowly, Taga lost his mind...he began to become arrogant...
Aluka followed behind Taga, his brows furrowed. He couldn't understand why Taga seemed different from when they first met...he felt that Taga was becoming a little more arrogant...
Taga swaggered to the front of the Atlantis Palace, his face full of pride the whole way. Aluka shook his head behind him until they reached the palace.
"I'll go in first...you wait until the Queen summons you." Aluka turned to look at Taga. Taga simply nodded and stood there nonchalantly. Aluka slowly pushed open the palace gate and entered.
After a while, Aluka pushed the palace gate open a crack and waved to Taga. Taga also walked in nonchalantly. Upon entering the palace, Taga saw the queen sitting on the throne, but he showed no intention of kneeling.
Aluka knelt on one knee. Seeing that Taga was hesitant to kneel, he turned his head and hinted at Taga, but Taga showed no intention of kneeling at all, standing proudly in his place. This made Aluka feel a little embarrassed.
The queen waved her hand to indicate that it was okay, and Aluka slowly stood up. "Thank you, hero, for helping us tame this multi-headed beast! Otherwise, we'd be plagued by it..." The Queen's tone was filled with gratitude, and she raised her hand to shake.
"It's okay, it's just something I can do." Taga's tone was filled with the feeling that it was just a small matter, and he didn't need my approval. When Taga saw the Queen raise her hand to shake his, he remained arrogant, as if looking down on them.
The queen awkwardly lowered her hand and said, "We will fulfill the promise we made to you. But before that, our hero, please rest well. We'll come back to you when we're done."
Taga looked at the queen, nodded, and turned to leave the palace. Aluka, after paying his respects, turned and followed Taga. The moment he caught up with her, Aluka placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Taga, I want to talk to you..." Aluka said earnestly. "Can't we talk about this later?" Taga shook Aluka's hand away and questioned him.
"Just now, your behavior was so rude! She's the queen. It's okay for you not to kneel. It's an honor for her to shake your hand, but you acted so arrogantly! That's disrespectful!" Aluka said sternly, looking at Taga.
"Are you kidding me? I'm the hero who helped you! I solved something you couldn't! If it weren't for me, you might still be stuck!" Taga then pointed to the armband on her arm, transformed from a sea beast.
Taga then turned and left. Aruka slowly lowered his head and shook it, sighing helplessly before following Taga.
And above the waters of Atlantis...
Distortion sat atop a massive ship... and behind it lay countless ships filled with Alkaros soldiers. Distortion crossed his legs, holding the lizard in his arms, which obediently fell into Distortion's arms.
Distortion gazed at the sea, slowly raised his arm, and waved, signaling the soldiers to prepare to attack Atlantis. The soldier standing beside Distortion, receiving the order, turned, picked up a horn, and blew it. The eerie sound emanated from the horn, reaching the ears of every soldier aboard the ship. They drew their spears and shouted.
Immediately, all the Alkaros soldiers leaped into the sea, heading for Atlantis at breakneck speed...
As the residents of Atlantis were going about their daily business, one seemed to notice a black speck moving rapidly in the sky above Atlantis.
This resident shouted to the others, "Come and see! Is there something swimming in the sky?" All the residents were startled by the cry and turned to look where the resident was looking.
Suddenly, a spear flew out, piercing one of the residents. Immediately, all the residents began to cry out and flee in terror, while all the Alkaros soldiers instantly appeared nearby.
"Follow the emperor's orders! Kill everyone in Atlantis!" An Alkaros general shouted, tentacles appearing around him. All the soldiers of the Alkaros Empire then launched into an indiscriminate massacre!
Taga and Aruka, walking along the street, saw the crowd fleeing. Confused, Taga grabbed a resident by the shirt.
"What happened?! Why are you running?!" Taga asked, bewildered. The resident whose shirt had been grabbed said, "Someone's started killing people up ahead. They're wielding spears and slaughtering indiscriminately!" The resident's voice was filled with tears and fear. He then broke free from Taga's grip and stumbled away.
Taga turned and began to think... Aruka, without further ado, ran over to help. Seeing Aruka's advance, Taga followed suit.
At that moment, an Alkaros Empire soldier was standing on a murloc, about to thrust his spear into the resident's head when a powerful force struck the soldier in the face.
The soldier was instantly sent flying! Looking closely, it was Taga! Taga lifted the murloc up and declared, "Run! I'm here!" With absolute confidence, the murloc looked at Taga, nodded, and immediately fled.
The soldier, who had been knocked back to his feet, slowly stood up. Taga's powerful blow to the soldier's face dislocated his jaw. The Alkaros soldier, feeling no pain, grasped the dislocated jaw with one hand and forcibly twisted it back in place.
Taga stared at the Alkaros soldier in shock. He hadn't expected the soldier to take his blow head-on, appearing unharmed.
The Alkaros soldier looked at Taga, then without further ado, raised his spear and lunged at him. Taga spun around, successfully avoiding the spear's impact. But as he turned, he looked at his clothes in shock. He hadn't expected the soldier's speed to be so fast that he couldn't react, and his clothes were ripped by the spear.
Taga frowned and said, "This opponent is a bit tricky..." Then he lunged at the Alkaros soldier, swinging his fist at him. The soldier showed no sign of dodging, raising his spear to block Taga's blow.
The Alkaros soldier shoved Taga away, sending him reeling backwards. He hadn't expected the soldier's strength.
The Alkaros soldier showed no sign of stopping, charging forward again, brandishing his spear and striking at Taga. Taga struggled to dodge, the Alkaros soldier's attacks too fast.
A cold sweat began to form on Taga's forehead. He stared intently at the Alkaros soldier, trying to find a flaw in his attack, but the soldier's movements were too cautious, and Taga couldn't find any for a moment.
Suddenly, a long sword flew towards the Alkaros soldier's head! The Alkaros soldier reacted instantly, turning and knocking the sword away with his spear. Taga seized the moment of the Alkaros soldier's reaction, gathering immense energy in his hand, and struck the Alkaros soldier's head with a powerful punch.
Instantly, the Alkaros soldier's head shattered. Taga's punch pierced the Alkaros soldier's skull, leaving his arm drenched in blood, but the color was strangely white...
At this moment, an unidentified creature covered in tentacles crawled out of the Alkaros soldier's mouth. Taga, upon seeing it, grabbed it. He pulled his hand away from the Alkaros soldier's head and examined the object carefully. Puzzled, he leaned closer, and suddenly, the tentacles leaped onto his face.
Taga, startled by the sudden jump, grabbed the tentacle on her face and yanked it, but it held onto her face tightly. Gathering energy in her hand, she grasped the tentacle and crushed it, sending a nasty burst of blood.
Taga wiped the blood from her face in disgust and flung the tentacle away. At this moment, Aruka ran over and asked, "Taga, are you okay? I just threw a sword at him, and he actually reacted! Luckily you were quick enough to give him such a strong punch."
"I'm fine... Actually, you don't need to help me... I can handle it on my own. You don't need to help me. If you help me, I might make a mistake..." Taga said to Aruka in a somewhat blaming tone. Aruka looked at Taga with some helplessness, thinking that Taga was still arrogant.
"Let's go help the other residents... Otherwise, something bad might happen..." Taga said seriously. Aruka nodded and went with Taga to help the other soldiers and residents to stop the massacre by the soldiers of the Alkaros Empire.
Distortion, sitting on the giant ship, closed his eyes and felt the sea breeze. At this moment, a soldier whispered in his ear. Distortion then crushed the handle of the throne he was sitting on and said angrily, "Are you saying that the people of destiny killed many of our soldiers...?" Distortion, with a mixture of anger and derision, cast a strange look at the soldier beside him.
The soldier nodded at Distortion and said, "My Emperor, do you need to take action yourself?... The power of the Destiny Man seems... quite formidable... Perhaps only you can fight him..." The soldier spoke with resignation yet respect.
Distortion then stood up from the throne and placed the lizard on the table. Distortion broke every bone in his body, and the corners of his eyes and A strange tentacle peeked out from the corners of his mouth.
"Since you can't defeat me... then I'll personally take the field..." Distortion said as he walked to the edge of the ship and leaped lightly. Distortion quickly plunged into the sea and then swiftly surged into Atlantis.
At this moment, Taga and Aruka were fighting with other Atlantean soldiers against the soldiers of the Alkaros Empire, all fighting hard to defend Atlantis. Suddenly!
A strange aura struck the center of the battlefield... Taga and all the Atlanteans... The Atlantean soldiers turned to look at the source of the aura...
Everyone slowly opened their eyes. Taga gritted his teeth as he looked at the person before him, his anger slowly surging from within... Appearing before them was... Distortion...
"Yo, yo, yo~ Looks like you guys are having a blast~ Can I join in~?" Distortion's tone was filled with playfulness and mockery. Taga stared at this enemy who had destroyed everything he cared about.
Taga's eyes were filled with rage. His body, uncontrollable, suddenly leaped forward and punched Distortion with all its might! Distortion merely glanced at Taga and sent him flying with a tentacle.
Taga was sent flying, the force of the blow piercing through several buildings. Distortion then turned to look at the Atlantean soldiers, offering them a defiant look.
Distortion summoned a tentacle and pierced one of the Atlantean soldiers with such speed that no one saw it coming. Distortion then swung it with all his might, sending the tentacle caressing the Atlantean soldier. The soldier's body was thrown aside.
After being knocked into the building, Taga slowly stood up, holding his waist and saying, "Damn... It hurts so much... Is he that strong..." Then Taga sprinted out of the ruined building.
Distortion was now wreaking havoc with his tentacles, piercing every Atlantean soldier. At that moment, a murloc child fell and twisted his foot. Distortion noticed the murloc child and, with a wicked smile, raised his hand and summoned a tentacle to pierce the child.
When Aruka saw the child about to be pierced by the tentacle, he swam forward with all his might. At the very moment the tentacle struck, Aruka stepped in front of the murloc child... His chest was pierced by the tentacle... His bones were twisted outward... His flesh was bloody and stained... The tentacle that had pierced him was also stained with blood...
"Run... Run..." Aruka said with his last breath... His words were filled with despair and pain. The murloc child looked at Aruka... tears streaming down his face as he swam away quickly...
"Oh, how touching! An adult saving a child!" "What a clichéd romance!" Distortion scoffed, tossing Aruka's body aside.
Taga finally arrived, and upon seeing Distortion's battlefield... taking a closer look... his pupils shrank instantly, staring in shock at the now-dead Aruka... then at Distortion, standing not far away.
Rage had seized Taga's soul, and he roared, lunging at Distortion. Distortion stood still, not even turning his head, summoning tentacles to grab Taga and slamming him to the ground repeatedly.
Taga was repeatedly slammed to the ground, his body pounding against the ground, his bones shattering, his face splattered with blood.
Distortion grasped Taga's ankles with his tentacles and pulled her in front of him, grinning wickedly. "Hey, Destiny... Destiny... how could you be so foolish... do you know... you're facing... a true god?! You're attempting to fight a god!" "You're such a narrow-minded person! Hahaha!"
Taga looked at Distortion, cursing softly, "You bastard... You... killed my family... everyone I care about... You deserve to go to hell... Burn in the flames of hell..." Even though his strength had completely drained from him, Taga still clung to his consciousness...
Distortion shook his head and sighed, summoning another tentacle to pierce Taga's body... Taga spat out a mouthful of blood after being pierced... Distortion turned and threw Taga casually...
Taga lay on the ground, staring at the sky... Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and his bones began to slowly shatter... Taga slowly picked up the necklace from his pocket... Tears streaming from his eyes...
"So... even if I gain power... I still can't change anything... I'm still the same weakling I was before... I can't change anything... Hahaha... Hahaha!" Taga said this self-deprecatingly, laughing maniacally. This laugh mocked her own foolishness and incompetence. Then, she slowly closed her eyes...
That night... Atlantis was destroyed... Distortion and all the soldiers left Atlantis... Taga lay motionless on the ground... Suddenly, the armband flashed... Rrrovax transformed back into a sea monster, and the black-robed figure appeared beside her.
"Thank you for your help... Rrrovax." The black-robed figure stroked one of Rrrovax's heads. Rrrovax looked at the black-robed figure, nodded silently, and lifted Taga up, swimming toward the surface...
