"I am the controller of this multiverse... I need a partner to rule the entire Oldworldverse with me..."
—Distortion
Today was a beautiful evening... In the Alkaros Empire, Distortion sat on his throne, caressing the lizard in his hand. His sharp fingers gently brushed against the lizard's rough scales, and the lizard rested quietly in Distortion's palm, allowing Distortion to caress it.
At that moment, a knock sounded at the palace gate. Distortion's half-lidded eyes slowly opened, and the hand stroking the lizard slowly lifted. Two tentacles, standing by the gate, immediately opened the palace gate.
The soldier standing outside watched the gate slowly open, then stepped inside. He knelt on one knee before Distortion's throne and bowed his head.
"My king, I have located the current location of the Chosen One. He is currently in Atlantis." The soldier spoke slowly, his head bowed, his tone filled with respect and indifference.
Distortion waved his hand, indicating if there was any further news. The lizard in Distortion's palm slowly opened its eyes. Its eyes were strangely eerie, as if filled with a terrifying presence.
"Also... we've roughly traced 'that''s' whereabouts... He's currently being held somewhere... but we're still investigating..." The soldier explained the clues they had uncovered, pulling out a strange fragment from his arms.
"We've also found 'that's' followers and fragments of past battles..." The soldier offered the fragment with both hands. Distortion simply raised his hand, and the tentacle snatched it away and held it in front of him.
Distortion picked up the fragment with his sharp fingers and examined it carefully. Even in the moonlight, it was impenetrable. It was supposed to be transparent, but the moonlight couldn't penetrate it. Instead, it seemed to devour the moonlight. The fragment exuded an extremely thick aura, as if it were the presence of a demon.
"Looks like it's time to find you. I'll have to go back and find you..." Distortion's lips curled up slightly, revealing his sharp teeth. His smile was mysterious and sinister, and no one could fathom his true nature. Distortion then waved his hand, signaling the soldiers to leave. The soldiers nodded and left the palace.
Distortion continued to caress the lizard in his palm, its eyes scanning the surroundings as it did so. Distortion was mentally formulating a plan.
Meanwhile, on Taga's side...
Taga was following Aruka on the road to the Atlantis Palace. He felt a sense of unease along the way, a subconscious feeling that a figure was trying to manipulate him. Taga simply patted his face and followed Aruka, who guided him and explained the characteristics of Atlantis.
As they walked, they came across a statue depicting a bearded humanoid. He looked completely different from the current Atlantean merfolk. He seemed more human than merfolk, but engraved on the statue's base were words Taga had seen before in the Forest of All Things.
"Who is this statue of...?" Taga asked, looking at Aruka in confusion. Aruka looked up and said, "He? He's the founder of Atlantis, one of the oldest beings. He opened up all of Atlantis!" Aruka said proudly.
"What are these words...?" Taga asked, pointing to the words on the statue's base. Aruka looked in the direction Taga pointed, saw the ancient text, and said, "I don't know exactly. I just remember my grandfather telling me about it. It means that the gods will bless and save us..." Aruka scratched his head.
"But to be honest... we've never seen a god. I don't even know if they exist. I just think of them as legends." Aluka shrugged, seemingly disbelieving that gods existed.
Taga looked at Aluka, smiled, and gestured for him to continue. Aluka didn't waste any more time, and immediately led Taga towards the Atlantis Palace.
Soon, they arrived in front of the Atlantis Palace. A guard in front of the palace raised his hand to signal Aluka to stop. Aluka quickly pulled his ID from his pocket and handed it to the soldier. The soldier took it, examined it, and then returned it to Aluka, motioning for him to proceed.
Aluka turned to Taga and waved, urging her to follow him inside. Taga followed Aluka into the palace, her gaze fixed on the Atlantis decor.
The decor was filled with various creatures, and the walls were covered in images made of unique gemstones. The window glass was even warped, distorting the sunlight filtering through it.
Aruka led Taga to the palace gates. After knocking, a deep female voice rang out from within, saying, "Come in..." Aruka pushed the door open and entered, followed by Taga.
Once inside, Aruka knelt on one knee and said, "King, I have brought the stranger I spoke of..." Aruka spoke respectfully. Taga watched Aruka kneel and followed suit.
The queen turned to Aruka and said, "Stand up!" A tone of unyielding command reached Aruka, and he immediately stood up, followed by Taga.
"Are you the stranger?" the queen looked at Taga, her eyes filled with sternness and beauty. Taga thought the queen's eyes resembled Tina's, but he didn't try to emulate her. Taga listened to the queen's questions and nodded.
"Although I don't understand your purpose, your relationship with Aluka proves you're a good person, not a warmongerer. We'll send you away, but we need your help with something," the queen said slowly, looking at Taga. Taga tilted her head in confusion, curious about what she needed help with.
"You must have encountered that multi-headed sea beast, right?" the queen said slowly, hands behind her back. Taga nodded and said, "Yes... I even had a fight with it..."
The queen then slowly walked to the throne and sat down. "This is what I need your help with. We noticed that the sea beast seemed to be in great pain after fighting you. We've tried everything but haven't been able to tame it or inflict any harm on it."
"So... do you want me to kill it? Or do you just want me to capture it?" "Taga asked doubtfully, his eyes filled with confusion, and he seemed to sense he was being directed, seemingly to fight the behemoth?
"No need to kill it, unless necessary... I simply ask you to capture it, or you can tame it yourself..." the queen slowly raised her hand to her chin, her tone unwavering.
"Tamed? Seriously?" Taga looked at the queen with some confusion, her brow furrowed. "Of course~ It will only submit to beings stronger than itself. Once you defeat it, you can tame it," the queen said generously.
"What did it do to make you want to capture it?" Taga finally asked, her doubts lingering in her mind. "It was originally one of our mounts, but for some reason it suddenly went berserk one day. It hurt many people and ate all the nearby food. We were afraid it would do something more dangerous, but we couldn't stop it..." The queen bowed her head helplessly.
"Then I'll do you a favor!" Taga slowly raised her voice, speaking with a confident voice. "Really?" The queen looked at her with a touch of ecstasy.
"This is a true queen! I will help you!" Taga patted her chest. "I promise you, I'll give you a satisfactory explanation. Of course, the prerequisite is that I need a map to the Frozen Continent." Taga smiled at the queen, her eyes as if to say, "What do you think of this proposal?"
"I promise!" The queen clapped her hands happily and ordered Aluka to immediately arrange for Taga to go and stop the behemoth.
"Come on, Taga! I'll take you to get weapons!" Aluka was interrupted by Taga. "I don't need weapons! I can rely on myself!" As Taga spoke with such confidence, a seed of arrogance was planted deep in his soul.
"Really?" Aluka looked at Taga with some concern. He still believed that Taga needed weapons and their support. "No need! Just rely on me!" "Taga spoke confidently, pointing to his fist, which radiated immense energy.
Seeing that he couldn't persuade Taga, Aluka sighed helplessly and gave in.
At this moment...
Deep in a dark cave... a sea monster was licking its wounds. It hadn't expected the damage from Taga's attacks to be felt at first, but as time went on, it realized Taga's power was too great, and the attacks felt like deep tearing wounds.
While licking its wounds, the sea monster seemed to hear a subtle sound. Then, a bolt of lightning struck the cave it inhabited, sending it sprinting out of the cave. The lightning was so powerful that a single strike shattered and collapsed the cave.
The sea monster looked up and saw Taga, who was looking down at the giant beast from above. The sea monster roared at Taga, then opened its bloody mouth and charged towards her!
"Do you want to bite me?" Taga quickly dodged to the side. The sea beast's massive jaws snapped, but missed! It immediately began searching for Taga!
"Are you looking for me?" a teasing voice echoed. The sea beast looked down, seeing Taga gathering strength in his hand and punching it in the stomach. The sea beast was sent flying! Taga quickly followed!
The sea beast reacted quickly, adjusting its body and snapping its other heads towards Taga. Taga simply smiled, quickly dodging each bite! The sea beast stared at Taga in shock; it hadn't expected Taga's speed!
Taga dodged and leaped directly onto the sea beast's head. He gathered lightning power into his foot and delivered a powerful kick. The sea beast couldn't dodge and was hit in the head. The force of Taga's kick sent the sea beast flying onto a boulder nearly a hundred meters away.
Sea The beast's massive body was kicked away, slamming into a boulder, which shattered! The resulting smoke obscured the sea beast, and Taga flew into the smoke, searching for it.
Taga looked carefully, but couldn't see the sea beast. Suddenly, its bloody mouth opened wide, engulfing Taga and swallowing her whole. The sea beast swallowed Taga whole, believing her to be dead.
Just as it was about to leave, it felt a sharp pain in its mouth! Taga gathered energy in her fists and attacked the sea beast frantically, each punch delivering immense force. The pain was so intense that the sea beast spat Taga out.
"You want to eat me? What are you dreaming about?" Taga sneered at the sea beast, then charged forward and delivered a powerful punch to its jaw. The sea beast felt the bones in its jaw shatter, and was immediately sent flying into its already collapsed cave.
The sea beast lay in agony on the collapsed cave, groaning in pain. Taga approached it and said, "If you don't want to die, surrender to me... Rest assured, I will treat you well..." Taga looked down at the sea beast. The sea beast met Taga's eyes, knowing it had no right to refuse, and nodded.
Taga watched the sea beast surrender, then retracted her energy. Suddenly, a beam of light shone on the sea beast, and it instantly transformed into an armband. Taga stared at the armband in shock! "What the hell is this... Is it Mr.? Taga looked at the armband in front of her in confusion, then slowly reached forward.
The armband seemed to sense its owner and flew directly onto Taga's arm, slipping it on. Taga looked at the armband, which featured five sea beast heads, each with ruby eyes.
"I guess I need to give you a name..." Taga paused, pondering. After five minutes... "Okay! I've decided to call you 'Rrrovax'!" Taga excitedly said the name, and the armband seemed to respond, the gemstones in the eyes flashing in agreement.
"It seems you like this name..." Taga gave a helpless smile. Meanwhile, Aluka finally arrived from a distance! He came panting with other murlocs to assist Taga. However, as he looked at the crumbling caves and boulders around him, he asked in confusion, "Where's the sea beast? Did you defeat it?"
"Yes, it's now subservient to me!" Taga grinned and pointed at the armband on her arm. "Why don't you wait for me... You're being reckless..." Aluka shook his head helplessly and looked at Taga.
"Oh, it's okay. I'm so powerful, I can defeat any enemy!" "Taga spoke with utter confidence, his heart gradually filled with pride and arrogance. His power had made him complacent.
"Forget it... Let's go back and report to the King..." Aruka sighed, then turned and left... Taga quickly followed.
In the Alkaros Empire...
Distortion was sitting at the tea table on the balcony, sipping tea, while Lizard lay quietly asleep on it. A soldier arrived to report the situation.
"Your Majesty... I have found the place where 'that person' is being held, but I cannot penetrate any further... Therefore, I failed..." The soldier lowered his head in shame as he reported what he had learned...
"It's okay... Let's not worry about 'that person' for now. We must make the Man of Destiny lose everything he holds dear once again... Make arrangements and send some soldiers to Atlantis." Distortion stroked the lizard's cool body and took a sip of tea.
After receiving his mission, the soldier turned and left. Distortion looked at the reflection in the teacup, but it wasn't Distortion's face, but another strange one...
