The Viridian Gym was shrouded in shadows, its stone walls echoing with the anticipation of the battle to come. The stands were filled with spectators—trainers, challengers, and curious onlookers—buzzing with excitement. The ground trembled as the referee raised his flag.
Referee:"The battle between the Viridian Gym Leader's Nidoqueen and the challenger's Blastoise is about to begin! Trainers, send out your Pokémon!"
From one side, Giovanni's voice boomed with cold confidence.Giovanni:"Show them your might, Nidoqueen!"
The blue-skinned, armored queen emerged with a guttural roar, her claws slashing the air. Her eyes burned with battle focus.
On the other side, the challenger threw his Poké Ball high.Regina:"Blastoise, I choose you!"
The massive turtle landed with a quake, water cannons gleaming under the gym lights. He slammed his fists against the ground, glaring at his opponent.
The air was thick—two heavyweights ready to collide.
Referee:"Begin!"
Giovanni wasted no time.Giovanni:"Nidoqueen, start with Earthquake!"
Nidoqueen stomped down with crushing force. The ground split open, waves of stone energy surging toward Blastoise.
Regina:"Blastoise, Rapid Spin to escape!"
Blastoise tucked into his shell, spinning like a drill. He whirled across the battlefield, avoiding the collapsing floor, then popped out with perfect timing.
Regina:"Counter with Hydro Pump!"
Blastoise's cannons roared, unleashing twin geysers of water. The streams rocketed across the arena.
Giovanni:"Take it head-on, Nidoqueen!"
Nidoqueen crossed her arms, bracing herself. The jets slammed into her armor, water spraying everywhere, but she held her ground with a growl.
The crowd gasped at her resilience.
Giovanni:"Nidoqueen, Thunderbolt!"
Electric sparks danced across Nidoqueen's horn before exploding into a bolt of lightning.
Regina:"Protect!"
Blastoise threw up a shimmering green barrier just as the lightning struck. The shield absorbed the crackling energy, but the sheer force pushed Blastoise back a few feet.
Regina: "Now, Ice Beam!"
From the cannons, a chilling ray shot forward. Ice crystals snaked across the floor, racing at Nidoqueen's legs.
Giovanni:"Jump and Body Slam!"
Nidoqueen leapt high—astonishing for her size—and came crashing down. The ice shattered beneath her as she aimed her massive body straight at Blastoise.
Challenger:"Withdraw!"
Blastoise retracted instantly. Nidoqueen's full weight crashed into his shell with a thunderous boom. Dust and debris clouded the arena.
When it cleared, Blastoise was still upright, sliding backward but unharmed inside his fortress-like shell.
Regina:"Blastoise, Liquidation!"
Blastoise emerged, eyes sharp. He lowered his head, energy building around him, and then launched forward like a missile.
Giovanni:"Poison Jab, stop him!"
Nidoqueen's claw glowed a vicious purple as she thrust it forward. The two collided mid-field—head against claw. A shockwave blasted outward, rattling the stands.
Both Pokémon staggered back, glaring fiercely, neither willing to yield.
Giovanni:"Let's end this fast—Earth Power!"
Nidoqueen slammed her fists down, golden energy surging up through cracks in the ground.
Regina:"Blastoise, Surf!"
Water exploded from beneath Blastoise, swelling into a massive wave that clashed with the rising earth. The two forces collided, sending sprays of mud and foam across the gym.
Both Pokémon panted heavily now, battered but unbroken. Giovanni's eyes narrowed.
Giovanni:"Time to crush this. Nidoqueen, Stone Edge!"
Sharp pillars of stone erupted from the ground, launching toward Blastoise.
Regina:"Counter with Hydro Cannon—full power!"
Blastoise's cannons glowed with a blinding white-blue energy. He unleashed a colossal blast of water that shattered the stone projectiles mid-air and surged straight toward Nidoqueen.
Giovanni:"Guard with Ice Punch!"
Nidoqueen's fist glowed cold as she punched the incoming torrent. The icy energy froze parts of the water, but the force was too overwhelming—she was blasted back across the arena, skidding into the wall.
Nidoqueen staggered up, bruised but not beaten. Her chest heaved with exhaustion.
Giovanni's voice was sharp.Giovanni:"Finish it—Superpower!"
Nidoqueen's body glowed orange, muscles bulging with explosive energy. She charged like a rampaging beast, each step cracking the arena floor.
Regina: "Blastoise, use Focus Blast!"
Blastoise gathered energy between his claws, forming a swirling sphere of fighting aura. With a mighty roar, he hurled it straight at the incoming queen.
The Focus Blast collided with Nidoqueen's Superpower. The explosion lit up the entire gym, a shockwave ripping through the battlefield.
When the dust cleared, both Pokémon were down on one knee, trembling.
The audience held their breath.
Regina: "Blastoise—now! Hydro Pump, point-blank!"
Blastoise's cannons roared to life. Before Nidoqueen could recover, twin geysers blasted her chest, lifting her off her feet and slamming her against the far wall with devastating force.
She collapsed to the ground, eyes swirling, unable to continue.
Referee:"Nidoqueen is unable to battle! Blastoise wins!"
The challenger pumped his fist as Blastoise stood tall, water cannons steaming. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, chanting his name.
Giovanni crossed his arms, his expression unreadable, though his eyes gleamed with a trace of respect.
Giovanni:"Impressive… you've improved since last time. It was a wonderful battle."
Blastoise exhaled deeply, shell scuffed but spirit unbroken. His victory wasn't just raw strength—it was tactics, timing, and unwavering determination.
Regina placed a hand on his partner's shell.
Regina: "We did it, Blastoise."
The lights of Viridian Gym shone down, and the roar of the crowd echoed like thunder. The heavyweight clash was over, and Blastoise had emerged victorious.
Giovani clapped while comming towards me.
"It was a battle I would never forget." He said with a smile. I shook his hands with a smile, "This is just going to be the first of the many unforgetable battle if you join as elite four."
"Guess I can't refuse the offer then." Giovani said with a laugh.
