Lancelot's "time" stopped. The world in front of him turned grey. His vision was still fading in and out. And in front of him. He saw, a golden orb. Shining bright in the blank world.
"Don't you recognize me?"
A chuckle came from the orb. While Lancelot stared at it.
'My…power…?'
His thoughts ran wild. But he remained silent.
"I'll tell you, exactly why I'm talking to you. Since you don't seem eager to chat."
The orb chuckled again.
"Let's get this clear, you, are about to die. Whether or not this woman intends to kill you. She will. It's a tragic thing, but don't worry…I don't plan on letting that happen."
Lancelot continued staring forward.
"And how do you know she will kill me?"
"Have you even felt it, kid? I can feel it too. Your senses, each one is flaring up and fading. Do you think you can stand the constant onslaught of a spirit and a swords master? You only managed to knock her down once because she was holding back. Now, thats not the case."
Lancelot trudged forwards the orb.
"Tell me then. How will you save me?"
"Well. First of all, your body will be restored. Once you take my, no, your 'power' and I'll give you a hint, a hint to go even further. The key to becoming a master."
Lancelot's eyes widened. A slight smile started to appear on his face. As he reached out to the orb.
"Well? What are you waiting for then?"
The orb let out a loud cackle. Manifesting a golden hand that shook Lancelot's.
"I like your spirit! Very well then! To become a master, one must find harmony, with their weapon, and with their nature! Now don't disappoint me, child! Your light will pave the way—"
The golden orb vanished into the air. As Lancelot's senses stopped fading, the world regained its color. And he felt a rapid surge of energy in his veins. He quickly summoned a shield and slammed Laura back. As his time resumed for him.
"How did you—"
Lancelot didnt let her speak. Bashing forward with his shield. Athena's arms stopped the shield and flung it away.
'Harmony…'
Lancelot's thoughts ran wild. As he burst forward once again, constantly summoning spears, but Laura's blades kept up with them easily. The four blades of light destroyed the spears with little effort. But he kept pushing forward. And he heard the voice of the orb echo in his head.
"Lancelot. You lack true conviction! To find harmony, you must find what you truly wish for!"
Lancelot focused, dashing back and sending a few spears at Laura. As she attempted to close the distance. He created another shield and threw it at her legs once she was close enough. And she wasn't able to react in time. Sending her skidding back. The spirits arms stopped it before the shield could make any reasonable distance.
Lancelot grit his teeth.
'Conviction…what I wish for…'
He summoned another spear in his hand. He could feel his heart thumping.
'I wish…'
An image of Arthur appeared in his head. And he bit down on his tongue.
'To surpass him!'
He burst forth. Feeling an extreme surge of energy. His spear felt more solid, more light, more powerful. He put all of his sword energy into his arms and threw the spear. His muscles popping out as his spear shot through the air in an instant. Piercing her gut and sending her flying back. She slammed up against the wall. The spear still inside of her gut. She ripped it out. And sighed. Looking at Lancelot. Who's body was still pumping with a golden aura. He had broken through the 5th layer of an expert, and had become a weapons master.
"You win…Lancelot…"
