Bearing the intense pain Kai xi remain still for few moments.
After this continuous torture for again and again, again and again Kai xi's soul left his body.
Kai xi freezed at his place but his body was bearing continuous electrical shock.
Kai xi's soul elevated out of his body and started lifting above.
It got lifted so high that even skies were seemingly below.
Kai xi's soul got lifted above the space crossing numerous galaxies and finnally reached at a ruined area.
There were houses,walls,wells,towers and a large building at a distant, probably located at the centre of the area.
But non of these mattered because all of the structures were broken.
Kai xi in soul form still remained in the same position as before not moving a step for once.
After five hours Kai xi came back to his senses and realised that he is somewhere else.
It made him happy at first but soon he realised that he is not even in his body.
He saw his hands which were seemingly transparent and releasing some kind of energy form that was bluish green in colour.
Kai xi moved forward for looking around but the moment he took the first step he heard a kind of strange tune ringing in his head.
At his second step the sound of the tune increased.
At his third step the sound increased even more.
Kai xi realising something is wrong took a step back but the sound increased two times more.
Kai xi thought that it would be better for him not to move for a while otherwise he might get completely blank.
Yet every minute Kai xi spent the sound increased by a percent.
Soon the sould reached a level that made Kai xi hallucinate that his ears were bleeding.
Kai xi slapped himself to get out of the hallucination and see that a kind of bluish green energy was releasing from his ears.
Kai xi came on his knees and covered his ears with both hand.
He tried to scream but not a single thing he was able to utter.
Suddenly something fell infront of Kai xi.
Actually it was a person.
The person walked towards Kai xi and with his every single step the sound decreased and till the person reached a distance 1 metre away from Kai xi the tune stopped.
Actually due to the pain of the sound Kai xi almost became senseless so he didn't see the person while he walked towards him. But the moment the tune stopped ringing Kai xi looked at the person.
The person was also a spirit with transparent body while only his hands were visible but face was covered with a physical mask.
He was also wearing a black simple robe and a kind of cloth covered his whole body.
He was also releasing a kind of energy but it was reddish black in colour.
After sensing the gaze of Kai xi on him the person released a suppressive force that made Kai xi unable to stand.
But soon the person released Kai xi from the pressure.
"I am a Spirit Envoy,a messenger of Ghost King who has sent me to escort all contestants of the battle to Slug Field"
"What is this battle?and when did I agree to fight in it?"
"So you are new, you will get all information you need but first we need to move from here."
The envoy hold Kai xi from his back and flew away.
While flying above the skies he muttered,
"I didn't think that they will catch a Slave category ghost for this."
The envoy flew even faster to reach the destination.
Slug Field Entrance.....
The envoy threw Kai xi on the ground and landed.
They both walked towards the slug field.
The envoy explained Kai xi about the current occurings.
"Ten thousand ghosts battle occur once in every Spirit Devouring Rythmic completion
Era. Spirits from accross the universes are selected randomly to fight with each other and devour each other's Spirit essence.
The battle is conducted under the supervision of Ghost King,to suppress the rebellious ghosts.

Anyone whose spirit will be devoured will be annihilated completely.
If somehow reincarnation is possible for him,after devouring his spirit it will be impossible for him to reincarnate.

Kai xi asked if any other thing is left.
The moment Spirit envoy was about to answer Kai xi , hundreds of carriages flying in the air landed.
Through the carriages several ghosts came out and some of them even made a grand entry with spirit energy.
The envoy said to Kai xi ,"Others arrived too."
Kai xi seeing this without hesitation directly asked the envoy,"Why they are receiving this kind of treatment while I recieved lowly treatment?"
The spirit envoy hearing this yelled at Kai xi ,"You Slave category ghost,how can you compare to Death and Divine categories of high class spirits!"
Kai xi got angry and hold both of his punches tightly but controlling the anger went into the Slug Field.
Slug Field.....
There was a vicious battle going on in the slug field, numerous ghosts were annihilated by gosts having soul weapons and were devoured completely.
Actually when many ghosts entered the field
for first ,few of them directly attacked them and devoured which helped those few cunning ones to gain more power. This they also annihilated the remaining ones.
Kai xi there tried to contact Toneru but was failed miserably.
Seeing the ferocious battle Kai xi said, "what if they have spirit weapons, I have spirit weapons as well"
Kai xi took out both his sword and trident a
"Finally I can use this trident otherwise that Chaos Lord would never let me use in Gigantic Whale continent."
Kai xi without caring rushed towards the battle where many enemies fighting with other enemies.
Kai xi just took ran forward slaying all with Sword in his right and trident in left.
With each kill the spirit energy entered Kai xi's body.
Kai xi felt that the Spirit energy is very different from Spiritual energy. While spiritual energy flows like air while breathing Spirit energy flows like blood.spiritual energy needs to be channeled while spirit energy always keeps body in active state.

Kai xi even broke the weapons of the enemies and used the spirit essence to strengthen own weapons.
After tempering the soul too much Kai xi rushed forward to find more opponents .
While rushing Kai xi reached a red mountainous terrain with only high fields (elevated area) to stand otherwise a valley.
There he found a Black spirit but it was not actually a spirit as, it was not a transparent figure but a figure with full black (opaque)body wearing a black type of robe releasing a kind of mysterious fog and his eyes were yellow bordered with purple pupils.
Kai xi said ,"Is it what they call phantom?"
Kai xi just rushed towards to kill that thing with his weapons but as soon as he striked the first blow he was thrown away.
The fog started to engulf Kai xi.
Kai xi was wrapped by the fog suddenly and the fog started to make Kai xi suffocate.
That very last moment someone using a sword slashed The Phantom.
Kai xi got freed from the fog and saw a muscular ghost with a broad sword in his hand.
The ghost smiled and looked behind.
While he was not looking at Kai xi , he instantly used his sword and beheaded the ghost.He then striked the ghost many time with his sword. At last the ghost disintegrated and his spirit energy was devoured by Kai xi.
