Chapter Thirty-Three: Hidden Things
Stars blinked silently over the cold rooftops.
Isabelle tiptoed across the hallway, holding the small flash drive so tight her fingers hurt.
She made sure no one saw her. Reign's door was closed. His voice wasn't anywhere near. The mansion was oddly quiet…
"Strangee…" She entered her room, locked the door behind her, then walked straight to the bed.
She knelt, lifted the mattress, and pushed the drive far under it, wrapping it in an old scarf she never wore.
Her heart was beating so fast, Isabelle thought it would jump out of her chest.
'He can't see this. Not yet. I need to know what's in it first.'
A soft cry broke the silence. One of the twins decided to cause a scene...
Isabelle quickly stood, fixed her expression, and walked out. She forced herself to look calm when she entered their room.
"They're still here? Where's Reign?"
