Freya's POV
The thought of my best friend completely losing her mind made me bite back a laugh. I could practically picture her face right now.
When the news first broke about the bracelet, Katie Harriet had bombarded me with questions. I told her I borrowed three hundred million from someone just to impress Jasper Tristan in front of everyone.
Looking back now, Katie would never buy that story.
My phone kept buzzing with messages, but with Mack Ben sitting directly across from me, it felt incredibly rude to keep checking my notifications. I forced myself to ignore the constant pings, set my phone aside, and straightened up in my chair.
"Mr. Ben, the head chef personally selected tonight's menu using the finest ingredients flown in this morning. Does that sound acceptable to you?"
Mack Ben placed his teacup back on its saucer with practiced elegance. "That sounds perfect."
