World Building and Discord

I would have created this Auxiliary Volume long ago but didn't know how to till yesterday lol

First of all here is the discord link (I'll also post it in the comments)

This is my first time creating a discord channel. Join for the character illustrations and random chat.

I will soon make a map for better understanding about different sectors of the city and the state.

Now then that's done I want to give some world building info which although you can understand while reading the chapters can also be a bit confusing for some.

Polygamy

Polygamy is culturally and legally accepted, especially among the wealthy and powerful.

It's seen as a strategic asset for legacy planning—more heirs = more options for succession.

In elite circles, a CEO with multiple wives or companions is not uncommon.

Wives are often ranked by favor, influence, or the value of their offspring.

Women of lower status may agree to marriage due to prestige, power, or security.

This frames Helena's past not as unusual—but as one of many women sacrificed under the "greater legacy" excuse.

🔸 Liam Darrow – Previous Life Backstory

(I am really sorry and thankful to my initial readers for supporting my novel even though I never mentioned Liam's background story clearly and made a lot of mistakes. I have learned from those mistakes and the upcoming arc will be better.)

Liam Darrow was born to the powerful but morally bankrupt owner of a logistics company in Autumnvale. Though technically above middle-class, his family was anything but peaceful.

His mother, Helena, came from a modest background and was once adored for her beauty and charm. But when she got pregnant with Liam, her husband—a man driven by lust and status—lost interest almost immediately.

Shortly after Liam's birth, the man married again. And then again the next year.

In a society where polygamy among the wealthy was common, Helena became a footnote. The second and third wives were younger, from better families, and jealous of Helena's beauty and once-favored status. Their jealousy turned into cruelty.

Helena lived under the constant humiliation of sharp-tongued rivals who mocked her for her simplicity, her poverty, and eventually, her irrelevance.

When Liam was just two years old, his father died unexpectedly.

The will favored the second and third wives, granting them majority shares of the company.

Helena was left with nothing but a minimal alimony, which was quickly intercepted through internal manipulation.

Legal retaliation was impossible—she didn't have the backing or knowledge.

🧨 Young Liam

Growing up under these conditions, Liam learned to despised two things:

Surrendering like his mother.

The rich and elite class

Liam wasn't weak. In his early teens, he was clever and attractive. He got in Celestial Academy because his father did a favor to an ally, now vice principal of the academy.

One day, during school, Liam because of his universal hatred for second generation rich trash orchestrated an elaborate scene that caused Lucas Cornelius (Vincent's son) to publicly insult a professor. The scandal resulted in Lucas's expulsion.

Old Vincent, eventually found out, could not retaliate directly in academy. Instead, he quietly froze all social and business favors that could've benefitted Helena. Suddenly:

Her PR jobs dried up.

Friends stopped returning her calls.

Public whispers about "that woman whose son humiliated Cornelius's heir" poisoned what little credibility she had left.

Helena collapsed from overwork and Liam's possessiveness five years later, her health destroyed.

Liam never forgot. He blamed it all on Cornelius. He moved to a distant city and found a reclusive cultivator who saw potential in his ambition and hatred. For years, he trained, ate bitterness, and dreamed of vengeance.

🔥 Return and Revenge

As an adult cultivator, Liam returned to Autumnvale.

He killed Lucas Cornelius during a surprise attack.

He nearly crippled part of the Cornelius supply chain through targeted sabotage.

But he couldn't reach Vincent.

Vincent's family had a hidden card. A martial arts master. Vincent's father used him.

Liam and his comrades died surrounded and overwhelmed by Vincent's private security, the martial arts master and the corporate enforcers of Sector 3.

He died bitter, believing that fate had sided with evil once again.

And that's when the world gave him a second chance.

🔁 Reincarnated with memory intact
