Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Flynn

When he finally backed up to see who he ran into it was a familiar face. Simon. One who always helped his family and was there for him when his dad died. The man was so big that Flynn with his 171 cm height ran with face into his chest. Simon also had long brown hair with a beard. Anyone was scared by him but Flynn knew his true side. Simon was always on watchlist from the government because of all of his looks but his personality is opposite. Tattoos were forbidden but they were not to go.

"Slow down boy." Simon caught Flynn so he wouldn't fall down. "Why do you look so scared?" Flynn only answered with his eyes. He signaled with them to look behind him. "Oh that lady." he let out a soft laugh but then when he looked at her he put a serious scary face on and the lady only smiled back. "Come with me boy. Let's get you out of here."

They walked down the street in silence and Simon was looking at him and he saw that Flynn was still worried. "Don't worry she won't tell anyone."

"Do you think she figured it out?" Flynn let out nervous laughter.

"Even if she did she won't tell anyone." Simon in a reassuring way tapped Flynn's shoulder. "Do you want to come with me?"

"Where?" Flynn raised his eyebrows.

"To see where I get these cool tattoos."

"I always wanted to ask you but I was too scared."

After a quiet ten minute walk to the other side of City they finally came to the house. It looked like any other house. Wooden, looking like a tiny wind would bring it down but it was more stronger than it looks. Mayors through the years didn't even try to upgrade the way of living for citizens. They only cared about themselves, no one else had electricity and electronics except the Mayor's family and guards. Outside was women doing garden work and nothing seemed off but once you steep inside it looks different than any other house. It's colder inside than outside. Flynn's arm hair raised because of the cold it was. He hugged himself trying to warm up. They walked carefully through the house because it was dark inside. But when they got closer to one of the rooms there was a red light going through a little gap under the door. Simon lightly knocked on doors then opened them and when Flynn saw where light was coming from he got very excited. It was a lamp.

"Is this light light? Like real electricity? But how?" Flynn finally took a breath after rapid firing questions. The man in the corner just watched him while smoking cigarettes, which was also forbidden by the government. The man fixed his posture and just laughed at Flynn.

"I never saw someone so excited for light." he laughed more. "I like you kid. I will do a tattoo for you. Free." He put a cigarette in mouth and taped the chair next to him. Calling Flynn over. Flynn just looked at Simon. He approved and told him he doesn't need to be scared. Flynn carefully observed the whole room before going to sit next to him.

"This is going to hurt a bit but it will help you at first glances."

"Wait. Will it help me? How?" His voice trembled and when the man pulled his arm he was shaking.

The man looked at Simon. "You didn't tell him?"

"Hehe, it's a surprise for him." He looked more excited than Flynn. Flynn was still in shock that he is getting his first tattoo and it is for free. Some people after years are still paying for tattoos and he can't believe he is getting it for free. Getting a tattoo is like singing for debt.

"Wait, wait. I am not doing this without his consent." The man looked at Flynn. "Do you want this tattoo? He looked at his wrist and tapped his tattoo on his own wrist.

"Wait really?" Flynn was not believing and the man nodded in agreement. "Of course I am not scared of a little pain. Let's do this." Flynn stretched more arm towards man. The man turned around to get ready and when he looked back at Flynn with big sharp wood Flynn just gulped and blinked in awe. Maybe he started to regret his decision.
