Ryan's POV
I snatched the phone from her, and before she could react, I walked out of the class.
"Hello, brother," I answered the call, a smirk stretching across my lips.
"Why did you take the phone from her?" Bryce's voice came through.
I chuckled. "Were you expecting me to just stand by and watch that happen? Would you do the same if you were in my shoes?"
"You're not keeping your word; a man should know how to keep his promises."
"Maybe I'm not a man after all," I laughed. "I'm still a kid; you called me a child the last time we met, remember?"
"Return the phone to her; I have nothing to say to you," Bryce said. He tried to hang up, but I stopped him.
"Wait, are you okay now? Did you manage to get the bullet out? Did it hurt? I'm truly sorry I did that. I didn't mean to shoot you; you know how terrible I am with guns. I'm much more experienced with knives," I grinned, but he remained silent.
