After the match ended, Kitse was one again taken to his 'cell' and he followed the guard once again without making a fuss.
This was supposed to be his last match before the main tournament so he had a month to do what he wanted to do.
Obediently getting inside his cell, Kitse started to ponder about his strengths and weakness.
Right now, his Divine Observation let him observe and study any of his movements made inside his domain.
When he developed this ability it was mainly to improve his own physical prowess instead of Nen based abilities but as he kept using the ability and his knowledge on Nen abilities improved, he noticed something fascinating.
Most Nen-users would develop their hatsu in a three different pathways according to his observation.
The first type would be the simplest way to develop Hatsu and that was to use the basic and advance Nen concepts like Gyo, Shu, In and so on to design an ability of one's choice.
A few examples of this kind of Hatsu would be Kitse's own Divine Observation, or Gon's Jajanken. Kitse had no issues with copying abilities like this with his Hatsu because the only pre-requisite for this type of Hatsu was a strong command of his own mastery over the said Nen-skills.
The second type would be developing a Hatsu where the user would take his physical prowess and enhance that using Nen. Examples of this would be Netero's 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva, which was a Nen-enhanced version of his physical power.
If Kitse wanted to copy and replicate this type of Nen-ability with his Divine Observation, he would need to master the physical power that was used as a basis for the Nen ability as well.
The third kind of Nen ability would be the ones that used Nen in it's entirety to form different kind of abilities with Vows and Limitations. Kurapika's Emperor Time, Hisoka's Bungee Gum, and so on used either the user's specific condition or vows or the user's specific development of their Nen in a certain direction.
This kind of ability would be of no use to Kitse, even if he understood the mechanisms behind it, at least for now.
At the moment, Kitse had mastered well over a hundred type of Nen-abilities of the first kind. Simple abilities that used the mastery of the Nen-fundamentals. Additionally, mastering and digesting these abilities further improved his fundamentals to miles and beyond his peers.
It was this kind of foundational strength that Kitse pursued when he developed Divine Observation. Now looking at his progress, Kitse felt extremely satisfied with himself and looked forward to his next set of goals.
Kitse's goals were all over the place. As a person from the modern era, he wanted to experience everything in the Hunter x Hunter world, so there wasn't a set objective he had for the long run.
All he knew was he wanted to be a powerful and free person. The details and fine-tuning could be done along the way.
His purpose of coming to the Colosseum had also been largely fulfilled so he was thinking about the next chapter of his journey.
He had the foundational strength he deemed to be good enough to explore the world and his development of Hatsu would continue in his journey as well.
Kitse 'digested' Echo Strike for three days inside his cell and finally decided to escape from the Colosseum.
The Colosseum was at an island East of Minbo Republic and The Republic of Padokea. Coincidentally, Kukuroo Mountain, the Zoldyck estate was also located in The Republic of Padokea.
Kitse stood up and casually broke the chains on his wrist and ankles. After all, the cell he was kept on was for a normal Nen user. Kitse had presented himself as an assassin with a weak physique from the start and there was no reason for him to be kept on a strong cell.
With his training and strength at the moment, there was rarely anything or anyone who could stop him if he wanted to escape.
Kitse stealthily maneuvered outside the tower and made his way into the VIP section. It was the area where the Ten Don's champions resided. Kitse was in need of a large amount of money and the Ten Dons and their men were walking piles of cash for someone like him.
The Don's champions all had decent amount of bounty on them and Kitse had accepted them all before he came here.
His entry in the VIP Section was completely unnoticed.
After all, he was using a Nen ability he acquired from someone called Nero. Nero was an assassin who had developed an ability called Shadow Cloak. It was a special movement type skill combined with In which used the shadows as a base for stealth.
Using In and a specialized movement speed in addition to shadows made it an extremely powerful stealth ability. If Kitse didn't have his Divine Observation active when Nero was approaching him, he might have died at the hands of Nero.
With the Shadow Cloak active, he made his ways towards the individual rooms of the champions and well.....did his job.
After all, there was no reason to say no to some extra cash, right?
