So, after Shiro died, Kitse only developed one Hatsu of his own.
Divine Observation
An extreme application of Ryu, Gyo and En where Kitse spreads an extremely sparse Nen domain outside of himself for an insanely detailed observation of anyone inside the domain.
This was an ability Kitse had thought about for a long time.
After all, his goal of roaming the Dark continent unhindered by anyone was not a simple one. One needed a little more than average strength to accomplish something like that. That is why he created Divine Observation.
When used, Divine Observation directly gives Kitse a detailed information on the actions taken inside the domain. The muscles used for a movement, the breathing pattern, the movement of aura, the circulation of Nen, everything is seen by Kitse under his domain.
Of course, he could only see the deeper complexities of the move. Replicating and applying those movements were fully dependent on Kitse's foundation in the related field.
Kitse created this Nen ability as a foundation for his future Nen abilities. After all, he was bound to create more of those in the future. What better way to create better and stronger Nen abilities than to observe and understand everyone else's abilities. He had originally planned to go to the Heaven's Arena and develop his combat ability in the arena's 1v1 style setup but that was when he discovered the existence of the Divine Colosseum.
Heaven's Arena was too soft for Kitse's growth and he could observe good Nen abilities from the arena, the colosseum provided the same thing but the addition of life and death provided better observation and more pressure on him.
Kitse let himself become a captive of the Ten Dons two years ago and he had been fighting in these arena style matches ever since then.
The big day was coming and with how Kitse envisioned it playing out, things were bound to be very very interesting.
A few hours later, the door to his cell opened and a man with a rifle walked inside the room.
"Number 88. Your final match is scheduled to be an hour from now. Follow me."
The man pressed a button on his watch and the chains binding Kitse unlocked with a clang. Kitse moved his wrists a little and grabbed his katana by his side.
Looking at the completely unguarded and uncaring guard, his smile widened a bit but he followed the guard obediently.
Kitse was led to a room where he was fed and given a fresh set of battle uniform. He was then led to the arena in one of the platforms.
"Now. the last match of the day. The infamous swordsman from Jappon who was captured by the Rodrick family, Urisa Mimoto versus the Silent Blade, an assassin captured by the Minos family."
The announcer was clearly excited for this match and the cheers erupting from the spectators resonated the feeling clearly.
Kitse's opponent this time was a swordsman which he appreciated a lot. Unlike the other Zoldycks, Kitse found the sword to be a way better combat style for him. He had studied a vast number of sword styles from his father and from his Nen abilty in the past and the swordsmen from Jappon clearly served as excellent teachers.
"Start"
As soon as the announcer started the match, Kitse immediately used his Divine Observation enveloping the entire arena. Urisa was instantly alert after sensing the wave of Nen but relaxed a little after seeing no changes from the wave.
'En? Why would he use En?'
Urisa was confused but his sword didn't slow down. Unsheathing his katana, he took the stance of the Mimoto style sword and slashed at Kitse.
Kitse did not fight back. Instead, he side stepped to the left and retreated a little.
Looking at the kid with his sword still sheathed, Urisa narrowed his eyes a bit but continued his attacks.
Slash!
Slash!
Slash!
The scene on the platform was unlike anything the spectators had seen that day. One was attacking with full force but his opponent dodged all of his attacks by a hair's margin.
Every time, Urisa seemed to hit the kid with his sword just for the kid to dodge at the last second.
Urisa was seething in frustration while Kitse was focused fully on Urisa's moves.
'His Nen ability, is it an enhanced version of Shu?'
Shu was an advanced Nen technique that coated an external object in Nen to boost the object's power and lethality.
Looking at Urisa's sword from his Divine Observation, Kitse saw the sword was coated with Nen but there seemed to something else in that Nen.
'An enhancer? Looks like dodging only isn't viable.'
The fight abruptly changed as Kitse unsheathed his sword and parried Urisa's attack.
Kitse felt the feedback from the sword and instantly saw what Urisa's Nen was.
Using his Nen on the sword, whenever he struck with his sword, Urisa would land one blow with his Shu-enhanced sword and another blow with his Nen.
'A combination of Enhancer and Emission based ability, not bad.'
Echo Strike
A Nen ability where the user hides a portion of his aura in a physical attack which lands after the strike is completed physically creating a chain attack.
Urisa could have used the ability earlier but with Kitse dodging his every attack, the Echo Strike did nothing so he had waited.
Kitse on the other hand had seen the aura released from the blade with his Divine Observation and managed to use Ryu on his hands to minimize the damage on his hands.
Seeing the sword style and the Nen ability of Urisa, Kitse saw no reason to prolong the fight and instantly used a Nen ability he had developed in the colosseum a few weeks ago.
Shadow Step
Using Ryu on his legs and his superhuman physique, step on ahead explosively gaining massive speed over a short distance.
Using Shadow Step, Kitse immediately appeared in front of Urisa and thrust his sword in his throat.
Before he could realize it, Kitse's sword had already drained Urisa's life leaving the samurai with wide eyes filled with disbelief.
