Tiffany Haddish Presents: Kids Have Amnesty…SAY…What!?

Kids Sound Off: "If God Loves Us, Why Does the World Break People—And Then Blame Them?"

Scene: The Big Question Circle

"Alright, squad—let's get real deep for a second. Grown-ups say, 'Believe in the Bible, trust God, He loves you no matter what.' But then you look around and see people getting beat down by life—losing jobs, losing family, getting hurt, and sometimes breaking so hard they snap. And after all that, some churches or people say, 'Sorry, you're not welcome here. You messed up too bad.' So if God is supposed to love everybody, why does the world break people and then kick them out when they need love the most?"

Kids' Honest (and Wise!) Opinions

"If God loves everyone, why does He let bad stuff happen to good people? And why do churches only want you when you're perfect?"

"It's like getting in trouble at school and then being told you can't come back to class. How are you supposed to get better if you're not allowed in?"

"If you're already broken, you need more love, not less. That's when you need help the most."

"Maybe God isn't the one kicking people out. Maybe it's just people using His name as an excuse."

"If church is supposed to be like a hospital for souls, why do they only let in the people who aren't sick?"

"I thought the Bible said Jesus hung out with people who messed up. So why do some churches act like they're too good for that?"

"If God is love, then love should be for everybody—even the ones who snapped. Especially them."

On Breaking, Snapping, and Being Welcomed

"Nobody breaks for fun. Life can be really hard. If you snap, it's probably because you tried to hold it together for too long."

"If you believe in forgiveness, you can't just pick and choose who gets it. That's not fair."

"If someone's hurting, that's when you should open the door wider, not slam it shut."

"If God is always watching, maybe He's waiting to see if we'll actually help each other, not just talk about it."

The Kids' Final Verdict

"If you believe in the Bible, act like it. Don't just say 'God loves you'—show it, especially to the people who are hurting."

"Church should be the safest place for broken people, not the scariest."

"If you want to know what God would do, remember: He'd probably be hanging out with the people everyone else ignores."

"Don't use God as a reason to keep people out. Use love as a reason to let them in."

"And if you see someone who's snapped, don't judge—help them put the pieces back together."
