Auren nodded. That was the appropriate thing to do, though it did not quench his and everyone else's curiosity. Especially Kenzo, who was dying to know. Auren, Granny, and Sable were more worried than impatient, though. Even if it was good news, it couldn't be a good thing for their family. Dante himself had said it best: 'Involving oneself with the noble class only brings misfortune to common people like them.'
Dante was actually very qualified to become a knight serving under Earls and even Dukes. But he had chosen the quiet life on purpose because of Sable and Auren himself. Dante was much more valuable than a simple Baron's knight. If he were just a simple blue crest knight, the Baron would have never agreed to give him a freebie in the last raid.
