The sound of my spoon hitting the plate resonated through the quiet dining hall but I was too lost in my thoughts to notice the stares on me.
Until Kaelith's large hand landed on my lap. I turned to look at him but his eyes were already in mine. "Eat". With a small mummur, he picked beef from his plate and dropped it in mine.
" Are you not feeling well, Elyssa?".
I managed to form a small smile at the older woman whose voice dipped with concern " Yes. I just couldn't sleep well". It wasn't totally a lie because after everything last night, I couldn't find myself sleeping.
And neither did Kaelith.
" You must be finding it hard to adapt to the environment change". She chuckled lightly "Anyway, do you have anything on mind today? I'd love you for you and Gia to join me in a little tour while the men are handling pack issues". " If of course Kaelith doesn't mind". She added.
