Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Departure Beyond the Sky

The announcement did not create chaos.

It created silence.

A silence so deep that even the wind passing through the trees seemed to slow down, as if nature itself was listening. Shiva stood calmly before his family—generations of people whose lives had been shaped, protected, and elevated by his existence.

They all understood one thing.

This was not a decision.

This was a conclusion.

His eldest great-grandson stepped forward, trying to maintain composure. "You've already given everything," he said, his voice steady but heavy. "Why go now… and why alone?"

Shiva looked at him, not as a leader, but as a man who had once stood in the same place—full of responsibility, full of questions.

"For the same reason I stayed all these years," he replied softly. "Because it is necessary."

A pause followed, but this time it was not confusion—it was acceptance.

He then shifted his gaze across the entire gathering. Children who barely understood. Youth who admired him. Elders who had walked beside him for decades.

"I was never meant to stay forever," Shiva continued. "And neither are any of you. What matters is not how long we live… but what we leave behind."

No one cried loudly.

No one tried to stop him.

Because deep down, they knew—

Stopping Shiva was never an option.

As dusk approached, Shiva made his way toward the deepest part of the forest.

This was not just any forest.

It was land he had personally protected—fought for—preserved against corporations, governments, and powerful families who once sought to destroy it. Every tree here stood as a silent witness to his battles.

And at its heart…

Something extraordinary waited.

Hidden beneath layers of advanced cloaking technology and natural camouflage, a spacecraft revealed itself as he approached. Its surface shimmered faintly, adapting to the surroundings like a living entity. It was not built for war, nor for display.

It was built for exploration.

For discovery.

For a dream delayed by a lifetime of responsibility.

The door opened seamlessly as Shiva stepped closer.

He paused.

Not out of doubt—

But out of acknowledgment.

He turned slightly, just enough to feel the presence of those watching him from afar.

Without looking back, he spoke one final time.

"Do not depend on legends," he said calmly. "Become the reason others believe in one."

Then he entered.

The door closed behind him without a sound.

Inside, the system activated instantly, recognizing its creator.

A soft, neutral voice echoed:

"Welcome, Shiva. All systems operational. Awaiting command."

Shiva sat down, his posture relaxed, his expression unchanged.

But inside…

There was something new.

Freedom.

"Begin journey," he said.

The spacecraft rose gently, without fire or force. The air around it bent slightly as it ascended, disturbing nothing, harming nothing.

The trees below swayed—not violently, but respectfully.

As if bowing.

Within moments, the craft pierced through the clouds.

The village disappeared.

The land disappeared.

The world itself slowly faded beneath him.

For the first time in over a century…

Shiva was no longer bound by duty.

No longer defined by responsibility.

No longer carrying the weight of others.

As stars began to fill the vast darkness before him, he leaned back slightly, his eyes calm yet filled with quiet anticipation.

"Let's see," he murmured.

"What lies beyond everything I've known."

And somewhere, far beyond human understanding—

A path had already begun to form.

Not for a leader.

Not for a savior.

But for a man finally living his own story.
