Saturday Morning
Su Yu woke up early.
He ran several laps around the neighborhood near Yukinoshita Yukino's apartment before heading back at 7 AM.
By the time he returned, Yukino was already awake, preparing breakfast for both of them.
After taking a shower and changing into casual clothes, he joined her in the living room.
Post-Breakfast Plans
The two of them left the apartment together.
Su Yu had already made plans to meet up with:
Hachiman HikigayaSaika TotsukaHayama Hayato
Meanwhile, Yukino called Yui Yuigahama.
Yui was thrilled and even invited Yukino to stay over at her place that night.
As for Ebina Hina and Miura Yumiko?
They had already gone to Shining Animation.
Today was Yumiko's voice acting audition—which Yukino had personally arranged in advance.
In the Car
As they got into the car, Su Yu spoke to the female driver in the front seat.
"Drop me off at the station."
The driver glanced at Yukino before responding, "Understood."
About ten minutes later, the car pulled up in front of the station.
Su Yu, however, didn't get out immediately.
Instead, he turned toward Yukino.
Her cheeks flushed—she already knew what he wanted.
Brushing her long hair back, she leaned in—
But before she could close the distance, Su Yu pulled her in and kissed her first.
The driver subtly averted her gaze, pretending not to notice.
A few minutes later, Su Yu pulled away, smiling as he looked at Yukino.
The blushing second daughter of the Yukinoshita family clenched her small fists, looking adorably flustered.
"Alright, I'm heading out."** He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before stepping out of the car.
Yukino watched Su Yu enter the station before finally instructing the driver to leave.
Taking the train, Su Yu arrived at the designated meeting spot, where he quickly spotted Hayama Hayato.
"Morning, Su Yu-kun." Hayama greeted him.
"Morning. Let's go." Su Yu responded before leading the way.
"Where exactly are we going?" Hayama followed beside him, curiosity evident in his voice.
"A tennis court."
Hayama blinked. "Tennis?"
"Not in the way you're thinking." Su Yu smirked, already knowing what Hayama was assuming.
The choice of a tennis court was deliberate—
Totsuka Saika was a key factor. Both Hachiman and Hayama were part of the tennis club.
If Hayama wanted to befriend Hachiman, the best way was to establish a shared connection.
After all, in the anime, their first real interaction also revolved around tennis.
As they approached the tennis court, Su Yu spotted three people waiting:
Hachiman HikigayaSaika TotsukaKomachi Hikigaya
Su Yu subtly compared Komachi and Yukino.
Hmmm… Yukino wouldn't lose to her.
That was his personal assessment.
As they approached, Su Yu turned his attention to Hachiman.
"Hikigaya, are you sure Komachi is really your sister? The gap between you two is just…"
Before Hachiman could respond, Komachi stepped forward with a bright smile.
"Nice to meet you, Su Yu-oniisan! My brother told me you're his savior."
Su Yu seriously shook her hand.
"Komachi, please be my little sister."
"No problem, Su Yu-oniichan!" Komachi responded with an adorable grin.
Su Yu turned to introduce Hayama.
"This is Hayama Hayato. You don't have to call him 'Oniichan'—he's a 'normie.'"
"Nice to meet you, Hayama-senpai." Komachi greeted politely.
Hayama nodded before turning toward Hachiman and Totsuka.
"Hikigaya, Totsuka—I hope we can become friends."
"…Hayama?" Totsuka was surprised.
Hachiman, on the other hand, frowned slightly.
He had zero connection to Hayama—so why was he suddenly trying to be friendly?
Something felt off…
His gaze shifted to Su Yu.
Su Yu simply smiled knowingly without saying a word.
Before Hachiman could question anything, Komachi nudged him.
"Oniichan, you can't just reject someone's goodwill. Hayama-senpai is trying to be nice!"
"…Fine. Nice to meet you." Hachiman muttered reluctantly.
Hayama visibly relaxed, throwing a grateful glance at Komachi.
But Komachi's eyes subtly flicked toward Su Yu.
She understood.
Hayama was here because of Su Yu—that much was obvious.
However, his words and expression seemed sincere, so she wasn't too worried about her brother being manipulated.
"Let's go. I booked the court—we even have a professional coach today." Su Yu announced.
Totsuka's eyes immediately lit up.
Thirty Minutes Later – At the Court
Everyone changed into tennis attire.
Totsuka paired up against the coach, while Hayama challenged Hachiman to a match.
Hachiman initially wanted to refuse, but…
Komachi was watching.
So, he reluctantly agreed.
As the two walked toward the tennis court, Su Yu watched them go.
"Su Yu-oniichan, thank you." Komachi whispered.
"No need to thank me. Your brother may be a bit… unique, but he's a good guy." Su Yu replied, eyes still on the match.
Komachi hesitated before asking,
"Do you really know my brother that well?"
"I've heard a lot about him."
"People's opinions aren't always accurate, you know."
Su Yu finally turned his gaze toward her.
"That's why I joined the tennis club."
Their eyes met—
Neither looked away.
After a moment, Komachi was the first to break eye contact.
"Su Yu-oniichan, you're really different from other people."
"Are you feeling intrigued? Or a little scared?" Su Yu asked with a slight smirk.
Komachi blinked. "You really do understand me."
Su Yu nodded. "I do. And not because of your brother."
Komachi's smile returned.
"Then, what do you think of me, Su Yu-oniichan?"
Su Yu smirked.
"A little sister with a sharp mind."
Komachi's eyes twinkled mischievously. "So… I'm a smart girl?"
"More or less." Su Yu gave a half-hearted response.
Komachi pouted.
Ignoring her expression, Su Yu glanced toward Totsuka's match.
Then, he spoke.
"I want your brother to work for me."
Komachi was momentarily surprised.
"What kind of job?"
"Nothing complicated—just something to help him experience working life early. He'll get a normal salary, like a real office worker. Only during summer break."
Komachi blinked. "You really trust my brother that much? You're not worried about his ability?"
Su Yu smirked.
"I believe he won't disappoint me."
Komachi thought for a moment before smiling.
"Alright, I'll convince him for you. What's the plan?"
Su Yu leaned in slightly. "You just need to…"
"Got it! Leave it to me, Su Yu-oniichan!" Komachi grinned.
