Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Because She’s Your Sister

Inside the Third Animation Studio, the latest episode of Puella Magi Madoka Magica was finally completed.

Yukinoshita Yukino was satisfied with the results.

Su Yu, however, didn't bother checking the final cut.

Meanwhile, the original artwork for Yuru Camp had been sent to Future Manga Publishing via Yukino's personal driver.

Since this shipment contained two chapters, Satou Yumiko personally called Su Yu to inform him that the first volume of the manga was ready for print.

Su Yu approved the production and also agreed to sign 100 special copies for a promotional giveaway.

Each volume was priced at 500 yen, with Su Yu receiving 10% royalties per copy.

The initial print run was 100,000 copies. If those sold out, a second batch of 200,000 would follow, and then 300,000 after that.

The editorial department projected that Yuru Camp would reach 1 million copies sold within a year, making it an above-average success.

For reference, the top 10 manga series each had at least 3 million copies in circulation.

Yuru Camp wasn't a battle shounen, so even 1 million sales were already far beyond most similar works.

But that was just for now.

Once digital manga platforms launched, Yuru Camp would constantly be featured in recommendation lists.

And once the anime adaptation aired, sales would likely explode even further.

Even though Future Manga Publishing belonged to him, Su Yu still cared about the performance of Yuru Camp.

However, he had no intention of drawing another manga after this one.

At most, he'd hire someone else to illustrate his ideas.

After all, he was sitting on billions of yen—why should he spend his days drawing manga?

Shouldn't he just enjoy life instead?

Evening – In Yukino's Car

As the sun set, Su Yu and Yukino rode toward her apartment.

Inside the car, Su Yu suddenly spoke up.

"I've made my decision. Once I finish Yuru Camp, I'm going to enjoy life."

Yukino rolled her eyes.

"Then make sure you hand me more anime scripts first."

"No problem," Su Yu smirked. "From now on, you'll animate all my stories. And when our children grow up, I'll tell them—'This is the anime your mother made for us.'"

Yukino paused for a second, then shook her head.

"I don't want my children growing up on anime. I want them to be as exceptional as I am."

Su Yu thought for a moment.

"That depends. If it's a girl, then fine—she can be just like you. But if it's a boy… I should be the one to educate him."

"Absolutely not," Yukino shot him a glare. "If you raise him, he'll turn out just as bad as you."

Su Yu laughed awkwardly.

Yukino leaned against his shoulder.

"Actually… regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl, I just don't want them to be like me."

Su Yu gently patted her head.

"Don't worry. They won't be. They'll have someone by their side."

Yukino immediately understood what he meant.

She didn't say anything.

Half an Hour Later – Yukino's Apartment

After arriving, the two changed into indoor slippers at the entrance.

Su Yu walked toward the kitchen while Yukino headed toward the bathroom.

Post-Dinner – Living Room

After finishing dinner, Yukino cleaned up the dishes.

Su Yu spent half an hour in the bathroom before stepping into the living room in his sleepwear.

Yukino was sitting on the sofa, looking at her laptop.

Su Yu raised an eyebrow.

"Since when did you start watching anime?" He sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms.

Yukino leaned into his embrace.

"As a director, I need to study other studios' styles."

"So, Yukino-sensei, how's your research going?" Su Yu chuckled.

"Most well-known directors have a distinct personal style. But… I still haven't found mine."

Su Yu gently ran his fingers through her hair.

"You've only worked on one anime. It's way too early to expect a 'style.' Keep making more, and you'll figure it out."

Yukino looked up at him.

"Then let me direct the next anime by myself. You handle the script, but don't interfere with production."

Su Yu wasn't surprised.

Although Yukino was technically the director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the series had a comprehensive script and detailed storyboards—every character's design, development, and narrative had been fully planned by Su Yu.

In reality, her influence on the project had been minimal.

That was why she spent so much time at the Third Animation Studio—to gain hands-on experience.

She wanted to learn and grow as a director.

Su Yu smirked.

"Yukino, scripts require inspiration… and I'm a little low on inspiration right now."

Yukino's face turned slightly red, but she boldly wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Do you need… research material?"

Su Yu leaned closer.

"I need to teach you some new things. If you learn them, I'll write you a script."

Yukino's blush deepened.

"What are you going to teach me?"

Su Yu didn't answer.

Instead, he kissed her.

Yukino responded without hesitation.

Su Yu closed the laptop, scooped her into his arms, and carried her toward his bedroom.

Yukino clung to him tightly, not letting go.

One Hour Later – In Bed

Yukino lay with her back against Su Yu, her face still flushed.

Su Yu wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.

She wasn't as curvy as Yuigahama Yui, but—

She was warm. Soft. And smelled really nice.

"Yukino… you just now…"

"Shut up."

"You turned into a little fool."

"You… you're such a jerk! The worst!"

Instead of getting annoyed, Su Yu simply hugged her tighter.

Yukino turned to face him, avoiding his gaze, her face still burning.

Su Yu brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and watched her quietly.

She was embarrassed.

Just like Yuigahama had been before.

The two of them were at exactly the same stage with him now.

After a moment, Yukino hesitated and asked,

"You… and Yui…?"

Su Yu answered honestly.

"She's the same as you."

Yukino sighed. "You're the worst."

"Yui is different from you," Su Yu said gently. "She gets insecure easily. I need to take care of her emotions first."

Yukino thought for a moment.

"Tomorrow, I want to go shopping with Yui. Do you have plans?"

"I'm meeting some friends—Hachiman, Hina, and Hayama."

Yukino raised an eyebrow.

"You and Hayama are friends now?"

"Your sister probably talked to his father. She wants me to 'give him a goal.'"

"I see… But why are you and my sister so close?" Yukino asked, clearly curious.

Su Yu smirked.

"Because she's your sister."
