Chapter 27 - Chapter 24: so they brought out ace to fight me

The first volley from the Federation fleet was merciless. As their ships entered the Big Rang's firing range, they unleashed their mega particle cannon. The concentrated beams of energy lanced through space, instantly incinerating several federation ships and the mobile suits unfortunate enough to be in its path.

"Damn Zeeks!" a GM Command Space Type ms girl swore, her voice crackling over the comms. She took aim with her beam gun at vertin and fired, but the shot went wide.

"Too slow, Fed!" Vertin, taunted, returning fire. The bullets from her weapon struck the GM Command's shield. Which defected it

For a moment, the two aces were locked in a dance of death. They attacked with a precision born from countless battles, each using their skills to the fullest. The GM Command ms girl l, a veteran of many engagements, immediately recognized the disparity. "This person's movements... not like a regular Zeek, but an ace," she muttered to herself, her wariness growing.

Meanwhile, Vertin's grin widened. "Finally, a challenge! Have they finally brought out an ace?"

Just as Vertin committed to the duel, four GMs swarmed her. They attacked in a coordinated strike, their weapons creating a storm of laser fire to slow her down. Vertin twisted and turned, as her movement and a surprising agility, and in a flash of her beam saber, she took out two of the GMs simultaneously.

"Fire! Keep firing!" one of the remaining GMs yelled.

"I can't see her!" another pilot screamed.

"Your end has come!" Vertin's voice echoed through their comms just before her beam saber sliced the remaining two GMs in half.

"That Zaku has a beam weapon," the GM Command pilot noted, her mind racing. "I've got to keep my distance."

A sudden scream of pain cut through the comms. "My arm!" a GM ms girl cried out, clutching what was left of her now-severed limb.

"Die, Feddy!" Vertin roared, her Zaku's machine gun spitting a hail of bullets. The damaged GM exploded in a fireball.

[WARNING! POWER LEVELS AT 67%. CONSERVE ENERGY.]

"Damn, using my beam saber really takes a ton of power," Vertin said, deactivating the weapon.

"Ahhhh!" A Zaku II ms girl scream turned into a muffled explosion as the mobile suit was peppered with shots from multiple GMs before it blew up.

"Nooo! You damn bastards!" another ms girl voice raged. A Dom shot forward, its heat saber glowing as it cut a GM in half.

Another Oggo pilot shrieked, "Ahhh!" before her was engulfed in a spectacular explosion.

"Big Rang, help!" a ms girl screamed into the comms, a futile cry as a beam gun shot hit her, turning her into another fiery wreck.

As more Federation mobile suits and ships poured into the battlefield, the Zeon forces were overwhelmed. The Oggos, outmatched and outgunned, were annihilated one after another by the relentless assault.

"Ahhh! My arm!" a Dom screamed, clutching the spot where her left arm used to be.

"Die, Zeek!" a GM pilot yelled, charging forward with her beam saber raised for a killing blow.

"Not on my watch," Vertin growled. She aimed her Zaku's machine gun and fired, destroying the GM just before it could strike the Dom down.

"Thank you," the dom ms girl said, her voice trembling with relief.

"Head back to the Big Rang," Vertin ordered.

"Y-yes!" the Dom responded, boosting away from the fight.

The roar of exploding beam rifles and the screech of torn metal filled the air, a cacophony of desperation. On a desolate asteroid field, a ragtag force of Zeon mobile suits fought for their lives against a relentless Federation assault. A Gelgoog MS girl, her sleek armor scarred and dented, shrieked into her comms.

"Reinforcements! We have nothing left to fight with!"

Static was her only reply. Ammunition was long gone. Another, a Zaku II, screamed for the same, her pleas lost in the noise of battle. "Someone! Give me ammo, hurry!"

Nearby, the battered hull of the Dolores, a Zeon class ship, shuddered under a volley of beam fire. The ship's defenses flickered, its N-field generator failing. "The Dolores is going down! We can't maintain the N-field!" A Gelgoog pilot cried out, her voice filled with panic, before a GM Kai's beam saber plunged into her back. Her last transmission was a final, static-filled scream.

Amidst the chaos, a Dom MS girl's voice cut through the air. "Where should we land!?" She knew the answer already there was nowhere left to go.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, a squad of Federation GMs landed on the surface of Boa Qu. "Landed! I made it!" one of the pilots cheered, the relief in her voice palpable. Her team echoed her sentiment, believing they had finally found a moment of safety.

But their celebration was short-lived. From behind a cluster of jagged rocks, a lone Zaku I emerged. Its mono-eye glowed with a vengeful crimson light. Before the GMs could even raise their shields, the Zaku opened fire, a hail of 105mm rounds ripping through their armor. One by one, the Federation suits fell, their brief moment of triumph replaced by sudden, violent death. The Zaku stood over their wreckage, a silent, grim reaper in the desolate landscape.

Back to vertin The duel between Vertin and the ace pilot raged on, a whirlwind of beam sabers and stray projectiles. But even as they clashed, Vertin's internal monitors showed the battle turning. The tide had definitively shifted. The remaining Zeon forces were being systematically overwhelmed. It was a lost cause.

"Big Rang, we have to leave now!" Vertin screamed into her comms, her voice raw with desperation. "There's no use dying here!"

With a heavy heart, the MS girl known as Big Rang issued the dreaded order. The remaining mobile suits and the mobile armor that had joined their team began their retreat.

"Come on, hurry!" a Zaku II ms girl urged, firing her machine gun to hold back the relentless horde of GMs and Balls.

"Go! Go! Go!" a Gelgoog MS girl yelled to her injured comrades, pushing them toward the extraction point.

One by one, they were picked up by the retreating Zeon ships, their hulls already scarred from the fierce engagement. They had survived, but the bitter taste of defeat was heavier than any armor.
