"This…" Lawrence stared blankly and astonished at the scene before him.
Every floating object in mid-air made him feel an innate craving, a desire to integrate them into himself.
Except for a few, most of them were Beyonder characteristics he recognized and could name, all belonging to the Apprentice Pathway.
As for the two remaining ones he didn't recognize, he already had some guesses in his heart, and along with those guesses came bewilderment, panic, and unease.
Among the Elder Council, the others also gradually recovered. A man wearing gold-rimmed glasses, like a university professor, nervously examined each characteristic, his heart involuntarily quickening.
"How can there be so many characteristics, and…"
"And they are all from the Apprentice Pathway, even many belonging to high Sequence."
Beside him, a middle-aged man in his forties, of average build, with meticulously combed hair, wearing the most fashionable black formal attire in Loen, and a semi-tall silk top hat, chimed in.
Lawrence took a deep breath, suppressing the surging emotions in his heart, and said in a deep voice:
"First, activate the Abraham Family's Sealed Artifact to stabilize the situation here. I will try to pray now."
"No need to pray, I'm already here."
Leyton's voice, accompanied by vibrant tree-like roots descending from the Spirit World Depths, appeared in the room.
At the same time, one after another, stars appeared out of thin air, dense and dazzling, casting pure, clear radiance throughout the room.
These rays of light purposefully fell upon each Beyonder characteristic, transforming into a transparent, amber-like seal, preserving most of the Beyonder characteristics.
Finally, only one set each of Sequence 9 and Sequence 1 Beyonder characteristics remained. Under Leyton's control, they merged into one and fell into his hand.
After doing this, he turned to look at Lawrence and the other Abraham Family members, saying in a calm tone:
"This is Mr. Door's remains. He returned to reality, and then Amon stole his godhood ritual and authority."
"Of course, at this level, it is very difficult for any existence to truly die."
Lawrence looked at the Beyonder characteristics scattered on the ground due to being sealed, his face unnaturally pale for a moment, feeling somewhat bewildered and at a loss. They had just been discussing whether to find a way to perform a ritual to help their ancestor return, and before reaching a conclusion, they received the news that their ancestor had already fallen.
After a long silence, he barely managed to accept the news, instantly seeming to age considerably, his expression complex but also much more natural, no longer burdened by worries.
On the other side, the man with gold-rimmed glasses, like a university professor, had a fluctuating expression. After a moment of hesitation, he chose to voice his confusion:
"Does 'very difficult to truly die' mean that the ancestor still has a chance to revive? From us, is that right?"
He paused, not waiting for Leyton's reply, nor caring about the changing expressions of the other Elder Council members around him, and continued:
"If that's the case, does it mean that as long as I consume these characteristics, the ancestor can return through my body?"
Leyton slowly shook his head and said:
"There is a possibility, but a greater possibility is that you will directly lose control and become a rampaging monster."
"Even if you are willing to give up your self, your spirit will still remain, eventually forming a spiritual stitched monster with the residual spiritual imprints within the Beyonder characteristics."
Leyton paused, then chuckled softly as if thinking of something:
"You can seek a miracle of resurrection from the Fool. Although you may not get a response, it's always worth a try."
"I need to take this merged Sequence 9 to Sequence 1 characteristic. I will try to strip the spiritual imprints from it."
"As for you, go pray for a miracle. Perhaps, soon you will be able to hear your ancestor's voice again, a normal voice."
As his voice fell, Leyton's figure, along with the merged Sequence 9 to Sequence 1 characteristic, vanished, leaving reality.
In the suddenly quiet conference room, Lawrence and the other Elder Council members looked at each other, no one speaking first.
After a long while, the young man who had shown the most eagerness regarding Mr. Door's matter pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, looked at Lawrence, and said in a calm, deep voice:
"Who will pray to the Fool?"
Lawrence raised a hand to press his forehead, sighing:
"Wait a moment. I'll contact Fors and ask her to inquire about the Fool's attitude regarding this matter for us."
"Also, what kind of reward can we offer?"
Dorian Gray, wearing a black formal suit and a semi-tall silk top hat, immediately chimed in:
"Besides these characteristics, the Abraham Family also possesses two Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts and multiple Grade 1 Sealed Artifacts."
"But why would he—no, it should be He—why would He want us to seek help from the Fool?"
Lawrence shook his head, his tone uncertain, saying, "Perhaps, it's because the Fool controls the authority of Miracles, or perhaps, it's a transaction between Them."
Gradually, the conference room fell silent again, everyone lost in thought, no longer speaking.
In the Astral World, within the Land of Perfection surrounded by numerous tree-crown-like colors, streams of complex and pure information flowed along the branch-like colorful tentacles, merging into Leyton's body.
"This was truly unexpected. Amon directly became Error, and He even obtained the authority of Door."
"From the moment the corrupted Horamick Haydn began, everything started to enter the True Creator's script, or perhaps, He had already begun planning much earlier."
"A Visionary is truly troublesome, especially a Visionary who has already initially mastered the Chaos Sea."
As he muttered to himself, a translucent, strangely shaped Key of Stars appeared in his hand.
Just holding it, information constantly transmitted from it to Leyton—coordinates, some within the world, some in the boundless Cosmos. It seemed capable of finding and opening all doors in this world.
"The corruption on Mr. Door seems to have been cleansed when this characteristic was extracted, but correspondingly, the spiritual imprint belonging to Mr. Door has also become faint."
As he sighed, deep blue, almost purple, radiance flowed in Leyton's eyes, condensing into complex and illusory symbols within his pupils.
Vast information emerged out of thin air, forming an illusory ball of light around the translucent Key of Stars in his hand.
Gradually, this illusory ball of light began to extend transparent tentacles, flashing with starlight, intertwining with each other to form a gigantic humanoid figure seemingly constructed from layers of doors.
Inside this figure, numerous symbolic patterns floated, and these symbols were composed of Worms of Star, twisting and coiling their bodies from different angles, shimmering with brilliant starlight.
As the Worms of Star wriggled, the gigantic humanoid figure began to reveal a more distinct outline. This process paused at a certain point, unable to change further.
"This is all I can do. My understanding of the Key of Stars is insufficient, and the model created using knowledge and information can only go this far. It's barely enough to carry this characteristic."
As he muttered to himself, he reached out and grasped at the air. The gigantic humanoid figure, seemingly constructed from layers of doors, instantly collapsed, transforming into a fist-sized crystal ball with constantly floating starlight.
At the same time, illusory, torrent-like streams of vast information separated from his body, re-forming an identical figure, but one whose aura was not at the angel level.
As soon as this figure appeared, he reached out and grabbed the crystal ball, taking it with him as he transformed into a torrent of information, surging out of the Land of Perfection.
Above the Gray Fog, inside the ancient palace, Klein was frowning at the book enveloped in black shadows.
The moment this book was sent above the Gray Fog, the entire Gray Fog boiled, reacting even more strongly than the previous Outer Deity's Box.
"Perhaps, it's because the Outer Deity's Box contained knowledge corruption, while this book is a truly evolved Uniqueness."
"Fortunately, I have completely controlled this place, controlled Sefirah Castle. Of course, if not for that, I wouldn't dare to bring this thing up."
As he muttered to himself, above the boundless Gray Fog, the illusory star representing Leyton suddenly expanded, radiating circles of deep red ripples outwards.
After a moment of hesitation, Klein extended his spirituality to touch this deep red star.
Deep red light spread out like a tide, and along with it came streams of information.
As the gray-white mist surged, it easily intercepted these information streams, sinking them into the mists of history.
"It seems you have indeed completely controlled Sefirah Castle," Leyton's voice echoed among the surging Gray Fog.
"Was that all you wanted to confirm?"
As he spoke, Klein released the information streams that had been intercepted by the Gray Fog.
Illusory, terrifyingly vast streams of information surged out from within the Gray Fog, quickly converging and re-forming Leyton's figure in the ancient and magnificent palace hall.
As soon as he condensed his form, he threw over the crystal ball with constantly floating starlight in his hand, and at the same time said:
"There's an opportunity to digest the Miracle Invoker potion. Do you want to try it?"
Klein reached out and caught the crystal ball, holding it in his hand and examining it carefully for a while, then casually asked:
"You seem even more anxious than I am."
Leyton sat down in his high-backed chair and chuckled softly:
"Amon has already become a True God of both the Error and Door Pathways, while you have just advanced to Miracle Invoker. The gap between you is too great, so great that Sefirah Castle cannot bridge it."
"Without a better option, I can only increase my investment. Moreover, both from my personal desires and emotions, I do not wish for Amon to be the final victor. He is not a good partner."
