After witnessing the transaction model of the Tarot Club members, Fors also felt tempted. Her Trickmaster Pathway had not encountered the Beyonder ingredients for her potion since she obtained the formula.
"I hope I can get information on these two ingredients at this seemingly high-end gathering."
"Hmm, I can't be too direct, otherwise the other members might guess the corresponding Beyonder potion formula based on the information I provide, like Hanged Man Alger just now!"
Having made up her mind, Fors deliberately lowered her voice, making it sound out of place for her:
"I'm looking for a spirit eater's stomach, the deep spearfish blood, and a crown jellyfish poison crystal. I'll pay in money."
She added ingredients for the Apothecary Pathway to her Trickmaster ingredients, which could both obscure the ingredients she actually needed and coincidentally help Viscount Glaint collect Apothecary ingredients. She could then sell them to him at a slightly higher price later.
"She's Fors! That crown jellyfish poison crystal is for Viscount Glaint; he only needs that one for his Apothecary ingredients."
Miss Justice, who was not far from Fors, had already guessed Fors's identity when she heard the requested ingredients. She had seen Fors inquire about these ingredients at a previous gathering they both attended.
Hanged Man Alger had been observing this new member, analyzing the information Fors revealed:
"Her Sequence shouldn't be high, at most Sequence 8, or even less. Her accent has Backlund characteristics, and while she might not be in Backlund, she's likely not active at sea."
After confirming that Magician Fors posed no threat to his position in the Tarot Club, Hanged Man Alger spoke:
"I'll keep an eye out for The Deep spearfish blood and a crown jellyfish poison crystal for you, but I can't confirm when exactly I'll get them. I'm still sailing and won't be ashore for some time."
"Alright, no problem."
Fors nodded politely.
"I can get a spirit eater's stomach."
The Sun Derrick, sitting next to Leyton, quickly followed up.
"Okay, how many gold pounds do you need?"
Fors's eyes lit up. She hadn't expected to get news about one of the ingredients so quickly.
"I don't want money."
The Sun Derrick shook his head and continued, amidst Fors's puzzled gaze, "The reward I want is information related to the True Creator."
"True Creator?"
Fors was stunned, momentarily unsure how to respond. She only wanted a Sequence 8 ingredient, but why was he directly asking her for information about an evil god? And the most active one, the one who loved to create terrifying incidents.
Leyton, sitting beside The Sun Derrick, chuckled:
"Heh~, most ordinary people don't know much about evil gods."
Klein, sitting at the head of the table, shrouded in gray fog, also wanted to rub his forehead. The Sun Derrick still knew too little about the outside world.
"Is there a problem with that? If the trade isn't equivalent, I can add other materials as exchange!"
The Sun Derrick saw everyone's reaction and thought the value of the trade was too disparate. He scratched his head awkwardly and added.
Leyton glanced at The World, at the bottom of the bronze long table. This dummy, manipulated by Klein, made a slight gesture, raising his hand and pressing it down slightly:
"Most people who can provide information about the True Creator are Lunatics from the Aurora Order. Magician probably doesn't know this information."
"I can act as a middleman for you two. I'll pay you for the information about the True Creator on behalf of Magician, and in turn, Magician, you can directly exchange gold pounds with me for the spirit eater's stomach. Is that acceptable to both of you?"
"I have no problem."
Fors quickly nodded in agreement.
"I have no problem either."
The Sun Derrick looked gratefully at Mr. World at the very bottom.
"Good, then we'll communicate privately."
The dummy, The World, under Klein's manipulation, orchestrated seeking private communication with himself, then used the gray fog to separate the remaining people.
Leyton leaned back, completely relaxed, as if lying on a lounge chair, leisurely enjoying the afternoon Sun.
He quietly said, amidst the speechless gazes of Miss Justice and Hanged Man Alger, "The free and easy Door Pathway is truly enviable."
"Door Pathway?"
Justice Audrey was slightly taken aback.
Fors's Trickmaster formula was bought from him, meaning the Door Pathway was another name for the Apprentice Pathway.
Justice Audrey asked curiously, "Why is it called the Door Pathway?"
Hanged Man Alger, nearby, also listened intently. He had never heard of a Pathway called the Door Pathway.
Leyton maintained his relaxed posture and said:
"Door is the title at the top of this Pathway's Sequence, just as within the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, the Lord of Storms is mostly referred to as Tyrant by us."
"I see, thank you for your explanation, Mr. Tower!"
Justice Audrey smiled and thanked him, then leaned back in her high-backed chair, deep in thought.
"Tyrant! This isn't a derogatory term used by those in the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom for the Lord of Storms. And 'Door' is the title at the top of which Pathway's Sequence?"
Hanged Man Alger's emotions surged as he mused, knowing more about the top Sequences.
The scene fell silent again until the private communication between Magician Fors, The Sun Derrick, and The World concluded.
Justice Audrey looked at Magician Fors, who had successfully reached a deal with The Sun Derrick and would soon receive the spirit eater's stomach. After a brief moment of thought, she said:
"Magician Fors, do you know about the Acting Method?"
"Acting Method?"
Magician Fors looked at Miss Justice to her side with some confusion.
"You don't seem to be aware."
Miss Justice quickly drew a conclusion through observation.
Then she turned her body, looking at the figure at the very top, shrouded in dense gray-white mist, and carefully spoke:
"Mr. Fool, can you tell Magician Fors about the Acting Method? If so, what price does she need to pay?"
Klein, shrouded in gray fog, chuckled:
"You decide, you explain. I don't want to repeat similar topics."
Having received Mr. Fool's affirmation, Justice Audrey slightly straightened her already upright posture, raised her chin slightly and said:
"The Acting Method is a method to accelerate the digestion and mastery of Beyonder potions, minimizing the risk of losing control."
Fors, who had been sitting somewhat lazily, suddenly straightened up, completely forgetting to hide her excitement:
"What price do I need to pay?"
Justice Audrey pondered for a moment, then said:
"Two conditions: first, you cannot tell others about the Acting Method without Mr. Fool's permission; second, pay two hundred pounds."
Magician Fors agreed to Miss Justice's terms almost without hesitation, and the two quickly completed the transaction.
Justice Audrey looked around. She saw Mr. World still in his previous state, not moving at all. White Tower Leyton, in front of her, also maintained his usual lazy posture.
"That's right. From the last Tarot Club, it was clear that everyone except the newly joined Fors had mastered the Acting Method."
Audrey muttered to herself, but still cautiously chose private communication.
While Miss Justice and Magician Fors were privately discussing the Acting Method, The Sun Derrick, sitting next to Leyton, silently surveyed the remaining people and said with some hesitation:
"I want to know which seven deities are the Seven Gods you speak of, and their general circumstances."
Suddenly, except for Miss Justice and Magician Fors, who were in private communication, everyone turned to look at The Sun Derrick.
Klein, seated at the head of the bronze long table, shrouded in gray fog, chuckled and said:
"They can all answer your questions. Who do you want to trade with? What reward will you offer?"
"I'll trade with each of them individually. The reward is that you can ask me one question, one that I can answer."
"Including Miss Justice and Magician Fors, who are currently engaged in a transaction, I want to make the same trade with everyone."
The Sun Derrick pondered for a moment before offering what he believed to be the safest and most comprehensive way to obtain information.
Without exception, everyone agreed to The Sun Derrick's trade, including Miss Justice and Magician Fors, who had just finished their Acting Method trade. Everyone was very interested in the City of Silver.
Leyton was not in a hurry. He waited until everyone else in the Tarot Club had traded with The Sun Derrick before making his own trade last.
In the private communication involving only Leyton himself, The Sun Derrick, and Klein, who was openly eavesdropping, Leyton slightly raised his hand as a signal and then began to speak:
"Most of the information others have given you comes from the scriptures of various churches and isn't entirely reliable."
Amidst The Sun Derrick's surprised gaze, Leyton chuckled and continued:
"The current Seven Gods, if ordered by the time they became gods, are the Evernight Goddess, Earth Mother, God of Combat, Eternal Blazing Sun, Lord of Storms, God of Knowledge and Wisdom, and God of Steam and Machinery."
"The time of becoming a god for Eternal Blazing Sun, Lord of Storms, and God of Knowledge and Wisdom should be quite close. Steam, however, only became a god near the end of the last epoch."
Speaking of the God of Steam and Machinery, this greatest lucky one, Leyton couldn't help but say a bit more:
"Moreover, at that time, he hadn't even digested the Sequence 1 Beyonder potion, yet he directly advanced to Sequence 0. It wasn't until 200 years ago, when Roselle appeared and promoted the Industrial Revolution, that he helped Steam digest the Sequence 1 Beyonder potion."
The Sun Derrick stared blankly at Leyton. Digesting Beyonder potions to become a god seemed somewhat distant to him, but that didn't prevent him from understanding that the God of Steam and Machinery, as described by the other party, became a true god through luck.
Klein, openly eavesdropping from the head of the table, constantly used his Clown ability to control his expressions.
He recalled his own advancement from Sequence 8 to Sequence 7 a few days ago after digesting his Beyonder potion. Although he successfully advanced, it didn't mean the risk at the time was small.
It was so difficult for me to advance from Sequence 8 to Sequence 7 after fully digesting the Beyonder potion, yet the God of Steam and Machinery directly advanced to Sequence 0 purely by luck, and then had Roselle eagerly help him digest the Beyonder potion later!
The disparity between people can sometimes be truly vast!
