Leyton's paper figure followed Klein and Miss Sharron as they continued to check the remaining rooms, each of which contained a humanoid statue of a True God.

"There's something evil here."

"Al, do you know anything?"

Klein sighed, then looked at Leyton's paper figure.

He controlled the paper figure to write a word in the air.

Klein looked at Miss Sharron beside him, puzzled.

"He knows," Sharron explained.

Klein felt a lump in his chest, thinking that Al was doing it on purpose.

"Paper figures can't talk, but couldn't you gesture a bit more?!" Klein grumbled inwardly.

The paper figure gestured in the air again, and Klein looked at Sharron, confused.

"No, it's too much trouble!"

"He can learn some of your thoughts through divination or prophecy."

After a concise translation, Sharron also explained why the other party would know his inner thoughts.

After some back and forth, Klein felt much more relaxed. Al still had the mind to joke with him, which meant there shouldn't be much danger here.

Ignoring Klein's interaction with a paper figure, Sharron said in a faint, calm voice:

"There's one more door."

Klein looked at the stone door in the center of the ruins and felt a trace of fear in his heart.

Being in the core area of this ancient building also meant it was the most dangerous.

"What do you think of that?"

Klein turned to Miss Sharron and asked.

Since he couldn't perform divination on the Gray Fog, he felt that Miss Sharron's spiritual perception and intuition were more reliable than his own; she could communicate with the Spirit World without hindrance, but he could not.

Sharron closed her eyes, and after a while, reopened them before answering:

"Very dangerous, but this danger is restrained."

"Does restrained danger mean that something is sealed inside?"

Klein speculated inwardly, his gaze instinctively falling on the speechless paper figure beside him.

The paper figure, under Leyton's control, shook its head, indicating that it also didn't know.

Klein held the lantern with one hand, while his other hand was already in his pocket, grasping a few talismans inside.

He hadn't walked too far when, illuminated by the lantern's light, Klein saw the passage ahead blocked by boulders and earth.

On the left and right sides were stone doors similar to the hall, with the right stone door already filled with mud and rocks.

Sharron floated directly onto the boulder in front, melted into it, and disappeared.

A few minutes later, Sharron re-emerged from the earth and calmly said:

"It has completely collapsed."

Klein nodded and looked at the stone door on the left that hadn't fully closed:

"We only have one choice."

Leyton controlled the paper figure to approach first. After all, it was just an ordinary paper figure, so there was no need to worry if something happened to it.

Moreover, the Hotpot Evil Spirit inside would most likely not bother with a paper figure; it would rather trick Leyton, who was behind the paper figure, into entering.

The paper figure's appearance was merely a false illusion; its essence was still a thin piece of paper, and it naturally passed through the narrow gap in the stone door.

Many items and skeletal remains were scattered on the ground, the most striking being several Beyonder characteristics of the Sailor and Savant Pathways.

If not for the paper figure's limitations, Leyton would have liked to pick up all the Beyonder characteristics on the ground.

Further ahead was a bloody double-leaf door. The next second, the water on the ground beneath Leyton's feet rippled, and the scene within disappeared.

"You destroyed my paper figure so quickly, how boring. You didn't even come out to chat a bit. Evil Spirits are indeed Evil Spirits; even with reason, it's no good."

Pursing his lips, Leyton mumbled a few words to the water stain on the ground. He was a bit regretful he couldn't get the Beyonder characteristics scattered on the ground.

Then he waved his hand, scattering a black powder, and all traces on the ground disappeared, just as it was before Leyton's arrival.

He then turned and left the basement. He already knew that Klein and Miss Sharron would not continue exploring.

Inside the underground ruins, Klein's Spirit Vision immediately closed as the paper figure disintegrated into paper scraps.

Klein looked at Sharron beside him and asked:

"The paper figure was destroyed. What happened?"

Sharron looked straight ahead and said with uncertainty:

"An Evil Spirit…"

Klein was silent for a moment, withdrew his gaze from the stone door, and turned to Sharron, saying:

"Let's go back."

When Klein returned to his house on Minsk Street, Leyton was sitting on the sofa in his living room, holding a lump of clay and molding it.

Klein wasn't surprised how the other party was in his living room; the other party's ability to traverse the Spirit World had been used more than once. After walking to the nearby sofa and sitting down, he directly asked:

"Do you know what the situation is with that ruin?"

Leyton heard this, looked up at Klein, and then at Sharron, whose figure was visible in the glass window.

He assumed a thoughtful expression, pondered for a moment, then spoke:

"I know a bit. Are you asking why I only threw a paper figure in? Or about the statues? Or that Evil Spirit?"

Klein stared at Leyton for a long time before speaking:

"I want to ask about all of it!"

"Three hundred pounds per question! Or you can exchange it for future Beyonder abilities."

Leyton showed a bright smile and quoted a price.

"How do I exchange Beyonder abilities?"

"Also, why do you always have to add a price upfront?"

Klein asked with some curiosity.

"What if you want to be a generous benefactor and let me earn some money!"

"The Sequence 6 of the Reader Pathway is called Polymath. The characteristic of this Sequence is to be versatile due to extensive knowledge, able to discern, see clearly, remember, and imitate abilities one has seen."

Leyton explained.

The Faceless's ability was something Leyton really wanted to analyze, but he wasn't sure if he could use this body-altering ability after analysis, as he hadn't undergone the corresponding potion modifications to his body.

"I already owe you over ten thousand gold pounds!"

Klein said expressionlessly. He always felt that the other party wanted to empty his already not-so-rich wallet.

"He can even say words like 'generous benefactor'; this guy is definitely a Transmigrator!" Klein affirmed his guess about Leyton's identity in his heart.

Leyton put down the clay in his hand, turned his body, and said in a slightly more serious tone:

"The statues in that underground ruin are how the Six Gods used to appear, but later the churches replaced the statues with more abstract Holy Emblems."

"As for why there's no statue of Steam, it's because he became a god relatively late. Steam is the only one of the Seven Gods who became a True God in the last epoch."

Leyton explained the statues in the underground ruins, and without waiting for Klein to ask, he continued:

"You should know that the pinnacle of a Sequence is a True God, so isn't it normal for the Seven Gods to have human forms?"

"So, the Seven Gods also advanced by consuming potions?"

Klein asked curiously; this was different from what was recorded in the scriptures of various churches.

"Naturally, one can't really believe the set of beliefs the churches themselves propagate!"

Leyton nodded noncommittally.

Uh… Klein, who had indeed believed the church's records before, nodded awkwardly, then changed the subject:

"What's the situation with that Evil Spirit?"

"Red Angel Medici, a composite of Sauron and Einhorn. Do not provoke him, and do not trust him; "He" is an Evil Spirit of the Hunter Pathway."

"He?"

Klein caught the key point in Leyton's words.

"They were all Sequence 1 Angels, but they were later killed by Blood Emperor Alista Tudor, becoming stepping stones for the Blood Emperor's advancement to Sequence 0."

"Hiss! Three Sequence 1 Angels were all killed! Is the Blood Emperor that powerful?"

"To be precise, Medici was considered a King of Angels, stronger than a typical Sequence 1 Angel. As for the Blood Emperor, he accomplished it with the help of others, otherwise, he might not have been able to defeat just Medici alone."

"As for the remaining questions, ask them later. You won't encounter these for now."

Leyton waved his hand, interrupting Klein's ready questions.

Klein's expression became a bit strange; he felt that the other party meant he would encounter these in the future.

Ignoring what Klein was thinking, Leyton reminded Klein that he was corrupted with the Evil Spirit's aura:

"You'd best Purify the Evil Spirit's aura on you, otherwise you'll have nightmares at night."

"When did I get corrupted with an Evil Spirit's aura?"

Klein looked utterly perplexed; he hadn't even seen the Evil Spirit's face.

"When you looked into that stone door through Spirit Vision with my paper figure!"

Leyton replied.

Thinking that this was an aura from the Red Angel Evil Spirit, which shouldn't be easy to dispel, Leyton threw a Purification talisman to Klein.

"This is a talisman with Purification effects, its strength is roughly equivalent to Sequence 6 to Sequence 5. You've only been corrupted with a bit of aura, so this talisman should be enough to Purify it."

"The activation incantation is the same."

Klein took the talisman and examined it carefully, unable to see any difference from previous talismans. When he looked up again, the other party's figure had already disappeared from the living room.
