However, Leyton immediately thought of the potion problem. If the species had changed, how would the potion be formulated?

"Aren't potion formulas immutable?"

Leyton unconsciously blurted out the question.

"Potions require corresponding Characteristics, or rather, the divinity originally left behind, not the materials themselves."

Red Light Aiur Moria gave an explanation, then added:

"Just like the Sanguine, their life inheritance relies on Beyonder characteristic. As long as there are Sanguine Characteristics corresponding to Sequence 7, there will be new births among the Sanguine."

Leyton nodded in understanding. Beyonder characteristic are conserved; even if a species dies out, it can continue to exist within other organisms, or rather, as long as the corresponding Characteristics are still there, the species cannot be extinguished.

He awkwardly touched his nose, realizing he had simply overthought it just now.

He quickly changed the subject:

"Mr. Hughes, I still need to trouble you to strip the Characteristics from this demon emblem."

Leyton withdrew his hand that was holding the Conspirer Characteristic. Mr. Hughes looked at him with some surprise, not asking about the matter, only reminding him:

"Manufacture some items with fewer restrictions. That strange unicorn has too many restrictions on the user."

"I'll try!"

Leyton nodded repeatedly in embarrassment.

Two consecutive figurines had significant problems. If he hadn't truly felt the Mysticism Magister potion digesting within him, Leyton would have even thought that everything he made was a failure.

"Mr. Hughes, what is the advancement ritual for Sequence 4 Prophet? I feel that the Mysticism Magister potion in my body won't take too long to digest."

Leyton estimated his digestion progress, planning to prepare for the advancement ritual in advance.

"Witness a major event, gain enlightenment, and consume the potion amidst the ripples of fate."

Mr. Hughes gave a somewhat vague answer.

Leyton asked in confusion:

"What are the ripples of fate?"

"You will know when the time comes. You don't need to worry about this; your fate is enough to bear the Prophet potion."

"I can give you a copy of the corresponding main potion ingredients, but you need to complete a task."

"What task?"

Leyton asked curiously. If it involved the Primordial Moon again, he felt he would need to consider asking Pallez to steal the Reader Pathway Characteristics from his body.

"Make contact with Sasrir and find out his thoughts."

As expected, Mr. Hughes uttered a weighty name.

Leyton felt that he should be looking utterly dejected at this moment, wanting to reply with "Next time for sure!" but the person opposite him was his second most reliable backer, and he couldn't offend him.

He could only carefully choose his words:

"Hasn't he already fallen? And, with just me, I won't be able to meet that person anytime soon, right!"

"No, you will meet him soon. I have glimpsed a trace of fate."

Mr. Hughes said with certainty.

Even Red Light Aiur Moria, who was sitting beside him, had a puzzled expression, but Mr. Hughes had no intention of explaining.

"Come back in two days to retrieve the Characteristics."

After saying this, Mr. Hughes waved his hand and expelled Leyton from the Library.

His consciousness returned to his body. Leyton got up and stretched, pondering Mr. Hughes's words.

If he remembered correctly, Sasrir had already returned to the True Creator, and now only the evil spirit slumbering in the Giant King's Court remained. But Mr. Hughes said he had glimpsed a trace of fate and that he would encounter Sasrir soon.

"I wonder how long Mr. Hughes's 'soon' is? As an Angel, and having stayed in the Spirit World for a long time, his concept of time might not be the same as mine."

Leyton muttered to himself for a while.

Then he suppressed all the thoughts in his mind. Instead of thinking about Sasrir's situation, it was better to improve his own strength.

He asked Bugs Bunny for the hat he was wearing and continued to immerse himself in explaining the Door-Opening ability and developing secret techniques.

When immersed in the development of secret techniques, Leyton always felt that time passed too quickly. He hadn't achieved much, and a day or two had already passed.

After two days of analysis and development, Leyton successfully transformed the Apprentice's door-opening ability into a secret technique for walking through walls.

"Through this secret technique, I can even make my attacks cause penetrating damage!"

Leyton exclaimed.

He took the Great Magician's Top Hat and walked down to the living room downstairs. After putting the tall hat back on Bugs Bunny's head, Leyton went out to a nearby restaurant, packed two meals, and returned home.

In the restaurant, Leyton, who was eating heartily, suddenly froze. His eyes clearly lost focus, becoming blank, and a scene appeared in his mind:

Klein stood at the entrance of a dim hall. Inside the hall were dense groups of snakes, colorful and wriggling together.

Before Leyton felt nauseous, the scene shifted, becoming a playing card with the words Red Priest in the upper left corner. The front showed Roselle Gustav in armor, holding a spear, with an army following behind him.

The next moment, a hand glowing with red spiritual light reached out from the side and took hold of this Card of Blasphemy.

The vision in his mind ended there.

"Phew!" Leyton let out a long breath, feeling his heart rate quicken slightly.

"A prophecy? Is it because I just happened to think about what Klein was doing, which triggered the Sage Characteristic in my body, leading to this prophecy?"

"I feel that the Red Angel evil spirit seemed to notice something at the end. Is this the prestige of a former King of Angels?"

Leyton muttered to himself for a while, putting down his cutlery. Leyton hesitated whether to go to that underground ruin.

He was somewhat worried that Medici, who had become a hotpot evil spirit, would go berserk due to the God of Knowledge's favor on him. Even if he was just an evil spirit now, he definitely had the strength of a demigod, which was not something a Sequence 5 like himself could contend with.

After much deliberation, Leyton still decided to go. As long as he didn't enter the underground ruin, Medici shouldn't be able to discover him.

"You two stay home, I'm going out."

After saying this, Leyton turned and stepped into the Spirit World.

He reappeared on Williams Street, at the junction of Backlund West Borough and Empress Borough.

Restraining the urge to use Eyes of Mystery Prying to peer into the underground ruin, Leyton walked down the street, his figure strangely enveloped by the surrounding shadows, disappearing from sight.

He passed the workers still working in the houses and the servants responsible for supervision, went through the cluttered living room, and arrived at the basement.

Leyton stood before a pushed-open grayish-white stone door. After a slight hesitation, he pulled a paper figure from his pocket, shook it out, and the paper figure quickly distorted and expanded in the air, transforming into a somewhat illusory figure resembling Leyton.

The illusory figure created by the paper man had bright yellow eyes, a night vision spell Leyton had cast on it. Then, under Leyton's command, it walked into the stone door.

This was a byproduct of developing the paper figure avatar before, merely an illusory facade that would turn into shredded paper upon suffering even a slight attack.

However, now, using it to replace himself in this underground ruin was just right.

A faint glow covered Leyton's eyes, and a layer of frost rapidly spread on the ground at his feet, quickly melting into a puddle of water.

Leyton sprinkled some light white powder on the water. As the water rippled, the scene seen by the paper figure that entered the ruin was clearly displayed on the water's surface.

After the paper figure entered the hall, Leyton saw the True appearance of the hall through the image on the ground: many candelabras hanging from the ceiling, suspended from the dome in an asymmetrical manner.

Before the paper figure could proceed, Klein and Sharron, who had just entered the ruin, walked out from a stone door ahead.

"Al?"

Klein saw the paper figure standing in the hall and asked in confusion.

"It's a paper figure."

Sharron added.

After walking a few steps forward, the paper figure nodded towards Sharron, indicating affirmation.

"Why are you here?"

After speaking, Klein awkwardly met the paper figure's gaze.

Under Leyton's control, the paper figure raised its hand and gestured the word "prophecy" in the air. Whether Klein and Sharron could understand it was unknown.

"Prophecy."

Sharron immediately spoke the word the paper figure had gestured in the air.

Then the paper figure gestured a few more times in the air.

Klein looked at Sharron with a head full of question marks. Sharron was silent for a moment and said:

"He said 'impressive'."

Klein was silent for a moment. He felt that Al had an extraordinary talent for destroying atmosphere. With just two gestures, his tension was completely gone.
