Marcus let out a slight chuckle. "I have this whole place and everything in it all for me for the duration of the rent, so yeah, I can ask them not to do anything but stand there and watch us."
"You're not serious," Nina replied with a coquettish smile.
Unexpectedly, his phone rang from his pocket. He hesitated to take it out, but the call was incessant, so he decided to check who it was.
"Mr. Hayes?" His eyes widened in surprise. What could he be calling him for?
He thought for some seconds and declined the call.
"Let's go, my love," he said, flinging the phone back into his pocket and making a move, but Nina stood still, her expression sad. "Why did you decline the call?" She asked him.
"Because we're still busy. Didn't you tell me we would discuss about him and our issue after this, so why were you interested in me speaking with him on the phone now?" He asked, his gaze timid.
