Chapter 35 - Chapter 28: Foundation

A/N: Welcome to Book 2. Please remember that this is my first time writing something. I do use ChatGPT but only for editing. I write my own scenes.

Also, halfway writing Book 1 I saw how OP Timothy became, so I took the idea from one of my favorite fics. Please go read Canon Fodder by Dasart. It is so good and has a lot of NSFW scenes for you perverts.

I stay seated on the bench, thinking things through. I could try to kill All Might, but what's the point? There's no real benefit. No long game in that move. Just chaos for chaos' sake.

Do I want to be a villain? Not really. I'm a sarcastic prick, sure, but I have empathy. It's why I cared about Harry and Luna back then. Feelings are a bloody inconvenience. Being a sociopath sounds like less work.

AFO is just a cockroach that refuses to die. Still, I respect the method. His whole thing isn't that far off from what I was building with my lot.

Different roads, same destination.

I stand and cross the street. People glance at me like I don't belong. Probably because I look foreign. Which is rich, considering one of them is literally a Fishman. Right.

Anyway. I'm powerful. If the system let me, I could probably take AFO out today. But rules are rules — I have to wait another year before I make my move.

That doesn't mean I sit still.

I'll build something. A gang. My own crew.

Since I'm in Japan, Yakuza-style makes sense. Though, it'll be Mafia in spirit. Refined. Strategic. Tailored suits over tacky tattoos. I can already see it coming together.

I shouldn't draw too much attention, so I'll limit myself — maybe two powers, three tops.

I smirk. This is going to be fun.

I step into an alley and snap my fingers. Shadow, Kid Dynamite, and Cage emerge from the darkness, silent as ever.

"That's a great idea, boss," KD says first, grinning as flames swirl in his palms. "I'll take firebending."

"Master, I shall be the night," Shadow intones. "I am vengeance."

I nod like I totally understand, and unfortunately, I do. He's me, after all.

Cage opens his mouth. "Timothy, just give me something fun to do. Oh! We should steal the decla—"

I hold up a hand. We all go still. Someone's coming.

A drunk stumbles in from the far end of the alley, glances at us, blinks, then turns around without a word.

I glance down. Right — I'm still in school robes. No wonder I was drawing attention.

The clones? Worse. Cage looks like a Saturday morning cartoon, and Shadow is dressed like he stepped out of a vampire musical.

With a flick, I transfigure all of us into designer suits. Mine's a sharp black three-piece with an emerald lining. Subtle but commanding. I may only be thirteen, but I want to show up in this world as myself.

For now, magic will be my 'quirk.' KD keeps firebending, Shadow sticks with Alucard's abilities, and Cage can play with Plastic Man's chaos.

KD stays with me. Shadow and Cage take fifteen clones each and scatter through the city.

Since turning thirteen, my clone cap bumped to fifty. Every new power or upgrade seems to boost my magical reserves. The system's generous like that.

Their mission? Find a base.

Thanks to the latest update, all those Death Eater "donations", bless their pureblood hearts, can be converted into local currency. I'm filthy rich.

KD and I step into the street in our fresh black suits. He scans the area like a bodyguard. Sunglasses and everything. Not going to lie, he looks cool.

Right now, I just walk. Take in the city while they do the grunt work.

Delegate, delegate, delegate.

Once I have a safehouse, I'll start rolling the Gacha again.

I grin. The possibilities are endless. Guns? Too loud. Baseball bats? Intimidating. Bare fists? Stylish. Mafia vs Yakuza vibes. We'll see.

We stop at a corner store for snacks. As I'm paying, the first clone message comes in.

They found an abandoned underground station. Potential base. Not bad.

Then more updates come through, a run-down factory, a bar for sale, a small shop, and a traditional Japanese estate.

That last one catches my interest. Big, close to the station. Might be perfect.

I glance at KD. He gives a subtle nod.

With a quick notice-me-not charm, I apparate us to the estate. Silent jump, we practiced until we could do it without a sound.

The property's huge. Overgrown garden, three buildings, tall gates. The main house is flanked by two staff buildings.

"This works, boss," KD says.

I summon another clone. "Transform. Blend in. Use Confundus if you need to, and secure the deed."

The clone morphs into a well-dressed middle-aged Japanese man. "You got it."

Once he's off, I turn back to KD. "Let's get to work."

With wards and runes, we make the estate invisible to prying eyes. Inside, we clean up while keeping the traditional look, but better.

Temperature control runes, soundproofing, reinforced paper walls. The furniture? Magically enhanced comfort. The garden? Back to zen, but with flair.

It's a fortress no one will suspect.

We also start tunneling. Clones carve a hidden path from the estate to the abandoned station. It starts with a plain wooden door, only opens to those bearing enchanted tattoos from me.

The hallway leads to a secret elevator, then to a reinforced corridor that opens into the station.

That station? It'll be our control room. A map of Saitama's underbelly. Every gang. Every villain. Every vigilante.

And soon, every piece in this city will be on my board.

<><><><><><><>

I sit in our living room. The space is clean and refined, layered in dark colors and soft enchantments. KD lounges across from me with his arms crossed. Shadow stands by the window, unmoving. Cage flips upside down on the couch with one leg in the air like he belongs in a circus. They all carry a piece of me.

Now that things have settled, I let myself breathe. I check the Whisperfang Ring on my finger. The gem hums softly. I can feel Vaelrix asleep in her own realm. That means the Sanctum is active and functioning.

Good. That would have been a problem.

[635 GP]

Five hundred came from finishing my last mission in the wizarding world. The rest accumulated while I waited for this moment.

I bring up the interface.

[Focused Astral Pull – Use 100 GP?]

[Yes] [No]

I press yes.

Starlight spreads across the screen as the gacha begins to spin. Ten orbs fall out of the sky. Three blue. Five purple. Two gold.

Not bad.

I start with the blue ones. The magic feels light but clean. The cards shimmer as they flip open.

Claire Stanfield

Rare – Baccano!

Immortal assassin. Charismatic. Unpredictable. Brutal.

Pressure Point Strike (Nerve Disruption)

Rare – Fist of the North Star

Internal damage through precise nerve attacks.

Masaomi Heike

Rare – Code:Breaker

Light manipulation. Illusion tactics. High moral compass.

I feel plans shifting in my head. Strategies rearranging themselves. But that was only the start.

I move to the purple orbs. The animation bursts outward this time. Stronger. Alive.

Kyoya Hibari

Epic – Hitman Reborn

Aura suppression. Tonfa expert. Loner. Dangerous.

Choso

Epic – Jujutsu Kaisen

Blood manipulation. Loyal. Tanky.

Time Freeze (Breath-Based)

Epic – Custom

Stop time while holding your breath. Perfect for infiltration or escape.

Hazama-Ryū Kekkaijutsu

Epic – Kekkaishi

Advanced barrier magic. Trap, redirect, suppress.

Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū

Epic – Rurouni Kenshin

Legendary sword technique. Fast, efficient. Synergizes with Phantom Slash.

My clones cannot see what I see, but I can feel their eyes. If they knew what was coming next, they would be pacing in circles.

Two gold orbs remain. I tap them both at once.

Light erupts. The room dims as the glow deepens. Two cards rise into my hand, outlined in diamond.

Merlin

Legendary – Seven Deadly Sins

Limitless magical intellect. Modifies spell systems. Can alter Devil Fruits before consumption.

Kusanagi no Tsurugi

Legendary – Myth / Japanese Lore

Blade of wind. Breaks enchantments. Soulbound to chosen wielder.

I lay all the cards out on the coffee table.

KD leans forward. "You need to absorb the two Legendary cards. No question."

I nod once.

"Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū too," Cage says. "Kenshin was good, but we're better."

"Darkness fears stillness," Shadow murmurs. "Time Freeze is necessary."

I take a breath. "Agreed."

I absorb Merlin. Then Kusanagi. Then Hiten. Then Time Freeze.

It is like a door opens inside me.

A sleek sword materializes in my hand. The Kusanagi no Tsurugi. I grip the hilt. It feels like it always belonged to me.

KD whistles. "Damn, Boss. We just leveled up in style."

I look at my balance.

[535 GP]

There is more to do.

I open the next menu.

[Universe-Focused Pull – 200 GP]

[Select Universe]

"One Piece."

The moment I confirm, the interface shifts. A galaxy spirals on the screen. Five orbs flash into place. I open them all.

Dracule Mihawk

Legendary

Master of the blade. Perfect sync with Phantom Slash and Hiten Mitsurugi.

Yami Yami no Mi

Legendary

Darkness Logia. Absorption. Gravity. Nullifies other fruits.

Mochi Mochi no Mi

Epic

Sticky pseudo-Logia. Elite crowd control.

Raid Suit: Germa 66 (Stealth Black)

Epic

Speed, stealth, regeneration. Magic-compatible.

Nico Robin

Epic

Multi-limb summon. Stealth. Knowledge. Recon asset.

"Holy Merlin," I breathe.

I do not hesitate.

I absorb Mihawk.

His power fuses with my own. It is clean. Sharp. Familiar.

I raise my hand and summon ten clones. They vanish instantly. Their task is simple. Prepare the underground sanctum.

The ritual chamber will be built first. With Merlin's knowledge and my own, I can create an enchantment to remove natural weaknesses.

Once that is done, I can eat the Yami Yami no Mi without risking anything.

I feel something shift.

My limit has doubled.

One hundred clones.

I summon them in waves. A few go to scout. Some will search for quirkless. Others will find vigilantes, those abandoned by society. The broken. The dangerous. The useful.

A small group is sent to Midoriya's town.

Not yet. But soon.

Loyalty is everything. Riddle was insane, but not stupid. The Dark Mark had its uses.

I will make my own.

Not a threat. A symbol.

A mark of belonging. One that allows entry to secure locations. That binds magic and loyalty in one design.

I open the interface again.

[335 GP]

Time to upgrade. We have the power. Now we make it permanent.

I lean back into the chair and open the interface again. The cards hover in a neat grid, each one glowing faintly. Power hums beneath my fingers. There is no rush, but I am not one to waste momentum.

[Upgrade Powers – Select Target]

The list unfolds.

Blink → Epic Blinkstep

Source: Dishonored

The card glows once, then folds inward. A pulse spreads across the room, subtle but sharp. A clone twitches on the other side of the living room, his fingers flexing. His body flickers for half a second.

He vanishes.

Then reappears two steps to the left, his grin even wider than before.

"Move like a whisper between seconds," he says, quoting the card with a crooked bow.

He's faster now. We all are. Smoother. The afterimage he leaves behind makes your eyes ache if you stare too long. I like it.

I tap the next one.

Force Push → Legendary Force Pulse

Source: Star Wars

The card melts into the air.

A shimmer wraps around my arm. My palm feels heavy with pressure, like I could crush a wall with a gesture. My veins buzz with the memory of something ancient and quiet.

Force Pulse. Shaped control over pure motion. I flex my hand and release a wave of pressure that rattles the glasses on the far wall. Silent. Clean.

"What they don't see coming is the silence before the break." That line stuck with me.

Defense or offense. Close or wide. Magical or physical. It does not matter.

I select the third.

Rasengan → Legendary Rasensurge

Source: Naruto

The moment I confirm, fire builds at KD's fingertips. His body stiffens, eyes sharp.

He looks down at his hand as the orb forms. It spins in silence. Energy and fire laced together like it was always part of him.

He grins.

"I can feel the delay. Like a fuse waiting to snap."

"Good," I say. "It'll rip through barriers like butter."

"Or people," Cage adds.

KD doesn't argue.

Fourth card.

Hina → Epic Cleansing Seal

Source: Hunter x Hunter

This one feels different. Softer. When I confirm it, a calm pulse spreads out, like warm light under the skin. Support. Purification. Dispel.

I glance at the remaining cards. No more upgrades for now.

[GP Remaining: 135]

Plenty left for utility, but I need a moment.

I look around the room. KD stands with flames coiled around his wrist, ready to snap into a Rasensurge. A clone paces the wall, vanishing now and then without a sound. Shadow watches with stillness I can only describe as predatory. Cage hums to himself, flipping through shapes with no consistency at all.

I press my hand to the Whisperfang Ring. Vaelrix stirs in her realm, her presence brushing against my thoughts like smoke.

"Almost time," I murmur.

My eyes drift to the last two unopened cards on the interface.

Yami Yami no Mi. Mochi Mochi no Mi.

But I will not consume darkness until the ritual is done. Once the weakness is gone, I will hold a black hole in my hand and laugh in the face of the world.

I take a breath. The ring hums again.

And I smile.
