Chapter 34 - Chapter 27: Hail to the King

[Hail to the King- Avenged Sevenfold]

The lights in The Room of Echos roared to life with spell-forged fire. Crimson and gold arced across the enchanted ceiling, casting molten shadows that danced like spirits caught mid-battle. Luna's keyboard shimmered with stormlight. Tracey's bass rumbled like distant thunder. Harry raised his sticks, eyes burning, and brought them down—

A beat exploded through the room.

Timothy stepped into the spotlight, guitar slung low, shoulders relaxed, a smile ghosting across his lips.

In another place, far from music and lights, shadows split open like wounds across the Albanian forest floor. Trees creaked. The wind held its breath. And from the dark, something ancient moved.

"Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head

Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid

Children roam the streets now orphans of war

Bodies hanging in the streets to adore"

Clones surged through the forest like ghosts. Some sprinted across moss, others slid through shadow, unseen. A few popped in and out of space itself, teleporting in quick flashes of silver light. Every one of them wore the same face, Timothy's, but different expressions. Focused. Calm. Merciless.

"Royal flames will carve a path in chaos

Bringing daylight to the night

Death is riding into the town with armor

They've come to take all your rights"

One clone stopped. His eyes narrowed. Something was wrong.

The snake, too large for its burrow, slithered with purpose. Its movements were stiff, unnatural. Its eyes glowed red where they should have been gold.

The last fragment of Voldemort had found shelter.

"Hail to the King

Hail to the One

Kneel to the crown

Stand in the sun

Hail to the King"

Back in Hogwarts, Timothy's guitar screamed into the chorus. Magic swirled around his feet. A ripple of pure sound burst from the amplifiers. He spun once, coat trailing behind him like smoke, and grinned as the crowd lost their minds.

On the forest floor, a shadow clone stepped into the clearing, rising from darkness like a god of vengeance.

The snake hissed. But it was not a snake.

Not anymore.

"Hail, Hail, Hail

The King…"

The clone smiled, sharp and amused. He bowed dramatically, flicking a gloved hand as if to welcome his prey to the stage.

"Blood is spilled while holding keys to the throne

Born again but it's too late to atone

No mercy from the edge of the blade

Dare escape and learn the price to be paid"

Inside the Great Hall, Harry's drums surged like cannon fire, each beat shaking the banners that waved above the crowd. Sparks jumped from the edges of Luna's piano, wild with magical overload. Tracey's bass thrummed low, the kind of sound that curled in the chest and dragged the soul forward.

Out in the forest, shadow tendrils erupted from the ground. They coiled around the snake's body, pinning it to the dirt. It thrashed violently, screaming in a voice that was not animal, not human, but something broken in between.

"Let the water flow with shades of red now

Arrows black out all the light

Death is riding into the town with armor

They've come to grant you your rights"

One clone leaned in, lips curled in satisfaction. He raised a hand. The shadows tightened. The spell activated.

The forest lit with white fire.

The scream that followed was not heard by the world. It echoed only in the minds of the clones—and one boy on stage who felt it ripple through his bones.

"Hail to the King

Hail to the One

Kneel to the crown

Stand in the sun

Hail to the King"

Timothy's fingers flew across the strings, unleashing the next solo. As the chorus rose, the memory hit him. The clone's life fading, the moment of impact, the spectral soul shattering into ash.

He laughed, not loudly, not madly, but with that quiet joy of a job finished.

And he played harder.

"Hail, Hail, Hail

The King…"

From the crowd, gasps and cheers rose like a tidal wave. Tracey twirled her bass, stepping forward with a flourish. Blaise raised a goblet from the back of the hall in salute. Daphne smirked from the shadows, nodding once. The Carrow twins blinked slowly in eerie synchronicity.

And Astoria? She jumped on the spot, hands in the air, beaming like she had just witnessed magic itself.

"There's a taste of fear

When the henchmen call

Iron fist to tame the land

Iron fist to claim it all"

As the next verse crushed forward, brief images flickered across Timothy's mind, studying runes by candlelight, dodging hexes in a tunnel, bleeding on stone floors while whispering spells no one else dared use. Every piece of knowledge carved, every plan refined, all for this moment.

And now, Voldemort is gone.

"Hail to the King

Hail to the One

Kneel to the crown

Stand in the sun"

He turned to the crowd, sweat clinging to his collar, magic rising from his skin like heat. The lights behind him shifted, amber, gold, then a flash of green. The serpent coiled around his neck blinked once, content.

Only he knew why.

"Hail to the King

Hail to the One

Kneel to the crown

Stand in the sun

Hail to the King"

With one final riff, he raised his guitar high. The lights flared. The song closed in a cascade of cymbals and roaring chords.

The audience rose to their feet.

A wall of sound.

Applause. Screams. Stomping feet.

They loved him.

They had no idea.

The final piece of Voldemort was gone. Destroyed by a clone in a forest no one had seen. Buried in silence and shadow.

Timothy looked out over his friends, the crowd, the castle.

And for the first time in years—

He felt free.

Timothy stepped into his private chamber in the Undercroft, expecting stillness, maybe a flickering light or two from the enchanted torches that lined the walls.

Instead, the world froze.

The torches paused mid-flicker. Dust motes halted in the air like tiny stars caught in time. Even the echo of his own footsteps lingered on the stone, suspended.

He exhaled—but the breath did not leave him.

Then it appeared.

"Your echo has reached a singular realm. The world you choose now answers."

The interface vanished in a blink of light and the chamber shattered like glass.

Reality around him splintered. The walls of the Undercroft cracked, curled, and folded inward like burnt paper. Color drained from the air. Time fell silent.

Timothy was thrown backward through an invisible veil.

He spun weightless through a void of stars and flickers of light, like windows to other realms. One shimmered with digital code, another with swirling chakra, another with a flash of red eyes and a blood-stained moon.

And then, impact.

He landed upright without a sound. The floor was cold and polished like black marble beneath his boots. Around him stood a long corridor of ancient design, stretching endlessly into shadow and gold.

He looked down and he was wearing his school robes with his wand safe in his holster.

Glowing candles floated midair. Their light flickered not with fire, but with echoes of memory.

Before him stood a towering arched door, gilded and regal, etched with the Hogwarts crest at its center. Symbols lined its frame—runes and emblems from every corner of his magical learning. Above it, a single phrase shimmered in gold:

"Harry Potter."

To either side of him, lining the corridor like whispers yet unspoken, were dozens of other doors. Plain. Unmarked. White and silent.

He reached for one at random—simple wood, no sign, no handle. His fingers brushed it.

A pulse of instinct surged through his chest.

He knew.

This door, if opened, would lead him to a universe not chosen, but resonant. A place that matched his nature, his magic, his chaos. A world his soul would echo within.

He let go, stepping back. The Hall of Universes shimmered with quiet power.

It was more than a vault. More than an interface.

It was the spine of something vast.

Each door a fiction.

Each fiction a truth waiting to be summoned.

He walked to the Harry Potter door and touched it but it would not open. He understood. He needed to enter a new universe and complete a new mission to go back to his old world.

He thought about his mother, brother, and friends. He would continue his adventure while they stayed frozen in time until he unlocked it again.

Well, he knew what he needed to do. He chose the door to the right of the Harry Potter door and touched it. It opened and a glittering light engulfed him.

He blinks and finds himself sitting at a bench in a park. He looks around and notices peculiarities.

A man with a magnet as a head is walking a normal looking dog. Children with deformities play at the jungle gym, yet no one bats an eye.

Are they mutants?

Then the interface pops up again.
