Chapter 8 - Lonely Influence - Chapter 8: Hotel Introductory and Yuri Calypso

Several minutes after that, all the students, along with their teachers, enter the building of the La Luna Sangre Hotel, with Yuri leading the group in the front line.

Yuri: "Welcome to the inside of the first hotel building; the fun side."

The Assistant: "You mean the shopping and entertainment area."

Yuri: "Yeah, that…"

The Assistant: "Just hand me the credits and I'll deal with this–"

Yuri: "No."

The Assistant: "Fine…"

While Yuri is introducing the shopping and entertainment area, some of the students are taking pictures. All of the sudden, a female student with glasses, raises a hand for Yuri to notice, in which she does and stops walking, making everyone else stop in their tracks as well.

Girl with glasses: "Miss Yuri… what's the history of this hotel? Sorry, I'm just a bit curious…"

The girl with glasses said anxiously and nervously, chuckling silently. Yuri turns to the girl and smiles with excitement.

Yuri: "Good question! Worth wasting my time touring."

Yuri says sarcastically without any apology, as she begins to explain the history of the La Luna Sangre Hotel in a short summary:

Yuri: "10 years ago, this hotel was firstly a cemetery."

Everyone else just nodded in understanding, knowing that they've already heard similarly to their schools being a cemetery at first. It wasn't too surprising.

Yuri: "Wha– how come you guys are not surprised?! I thought it would be interesting!"

The Assistant: "Girl, we've all heard the similar answers. So how come YOU didn't?"

Yuri: "I learned everything through homeschooling. Now shut up and let me continue."

Yuri then takes a deep breath as she spreads her arms a little, a sign of hesitation can be seen as she continues.

Yuri: "And secondly after the time of the cemetery, it became one of the casinos owned by my dad, Kenzo Calypso, a notorious Mafia criminal from 10 years ago."

And so, this time, everyone gasps in surprise with wide eyes and wide mouths. The mention of a notorious and infamous Japanese mafia boss from 10 years ago is truly surprising, and him being mentioned as a former owner of a casino.

Kenzo Calypso is known for his desire for money through harsh and gory businesses, a criminal who once took over every casino in Japan and moved to Malaysia.

Girl with glasses: "And… what happened to your dad now?"

Yuri's eyes widened slightly at that question, hesitating for a second before cheerfully shouting:

Yuri: "I… killed my own dad!"

The students, along with their teachers this time, gasp in shock at what they just heard to what Yuri just declared.Suddenly, the assistant beside Yuri smacks her head with a paper bat.

The Assistant: "That isn't how you describe someone's state!"

Yuri: "What? Are you telling me to be more poetic about it? I'm not a writer!"

The Assistant: "That isn't the case! You should be more respectful and mindful about what you say next because—"

Yuri: "–and then, I turned his casino into a hotel called the La Luna Sangre Hotel! An establishment of my own—"

The Assistant: "STOP IGNORING ME YOU PIECE OF SHI–"

.

.

Cut off to students in the hotel dormitory corridors, as some are either having casual conversation, some preparing to enter, and some are looking for their rooms. Trizha, Wyne, and Margaret are walking around in the corridors, searching for their rooms.

Trizha: "Room 187… where is it…"

Trizha says while staring at the room number written on a miniature paper in his palm.

Wyne: "Girl, you do know that we're still in dormitory row 79 to 90, right? Why are you already looking for your room here?"

Wyne says, her cheeks red and swollen due to T. Marcela's earlier slapping to bring her body back to their senses.

Trizha: "Duh, to feel special and advance? I feel like I'm in that kind of heavenly mood."

Trizha responds, swaying her hair in a flamboyant and sassy way, smirking sarcastically.

Wyne, in her thoughts: "The heck is she talking about…"

Wyne says with an annoyed expression, sighing silently, also still frustrated from what Trizha did to her moments ago. She then turns around and notices Margaret staring at her phone with interest in her face, looking like an iPad kid.

Wyne: "Hey Margaret, what are you looking at?"

Margaret gets startled a little when Wyne calls her out, stopping in her tracks as she lifts her head to look at her.

Margaret: "Oh! I… I just… uhm…"

Wyne's eyes then sparkle in expectation and excitement as she thinks of a nice possibility of her own, leaning to Margaret with a wide grin.

Wyne: "Are looking at a post of a new boy band–"

Margaret: "No, just some news about the military making their move…"

Wyne's face of excitement fades as he swings her hand dismissively in boredom.

Wyne: "Oh, that's boring– wait, why would you even be interested in news about men, especially ones in the military?"

Margaret: "I mean… they protect us and serve the country? I'm just interested in what they–"

Wyne then cuts Margaret off, leaning her face close to hers in a teasing way with crossed arms, smugly grinning.

Wyne: "Interested in their muscular figures, eh? Don't worry, we've all been there–"

Margaret: "No, I'm just interested in what country they are going to invade next."

Wyne and Margaret just stare at each other for a few moments, their expressions unreadable. After a few seconds of silence, Wyne just turns around and storms off to follow Trizha with a terrified look on her face. Perhaps that amount of silence was a duration on how long she realized what Margaret meant…

Wyne then turns to Trizha, staring at her for a few seconds before realizing something as she catches up to her, tapping her shoulder.

Wyne: "Hey Trizha, since you're in the mood, why haven't you vlog a video right now?"

Trizha's earlier expression fades at the mention of "vlogging", fading away into a few chuckles as she lets out a few sweats from her forehead, remembering what happened just earlier, her eyes glancing around nervously.

Trizha: "Oh, that? Nah… I just… you know, not in the mood for that."

Wyne: "Is that so? I thought you were gonna prepare for that, since you seemed so moody earlier… Oh, I see now."

Trizha: "Oh please, it's nothing… really. I just…"

Wyne then suddenly places a hand to Trizha's shoulder, her face full of understanding as she nods in understanding as well.

Wyne: "I know, I know. Your battery is dead, and you forgot your charger so you couldn't charge your phone to vlog a video… Don't worry, we've all been there."

Trizha: "...Hah?"

Suddenly, the elevator at the left opens as some of the students step out of the elevator, as both Trizha and Wyne turn to it for a second. Wyne then holds Trizha by her shoulders from behind and pulls her inside the elevator while it is still open.

Wyne: "Anyways, off you go! I know how you feel, so let's meet up later after you get to your room and make yourself comfortable!"

Trizha: "W-wait!"

Trizha tries to protest, but she is already inside the elevator and the elevator door closes, leaving her all alone with her stuff next to her in the elevator. She takes a glance around for a second, before taking deep breaths as she prepares a good first impression for her upcoming roommate.

Trizha, in her thoughts: "Deep breaths, deep breaths! I know we failed to be an idol as a child due to social anxiety, but this time… I will finally show myself with confidence in person for the first time!!"

Trizha says as she pouts in self confidence, recklessly making a decision for herself as she rushes out of the elevator with confidence in her face, screaming 'silently' as she runs in the corridors of dormitory row 179 to 190, reaching to room 187 as she instantly stops in front of her and slams the door open with a determined expression.

Trizha: "Good afternoon, however you are!! My name is Trizha Frantzes, a girl from Malacca City and is popular on social media! I hope we can get along!!"

Trizha shouted as she extended her hand in front of her while bowing, expecting some reaction from her "roommate". However, silence overwhelmed the sound as no one spoke, so Trizha lifted her head slightly to take a peek, before realizing that no one was actually inside the room yet besides her…

And so, Trizha leans her body up as she stares forward with open mouth and unreadable expression, which is then suddenly replaced with an embarrassed expression with her cheek turning red, squealing in embarrassment as she enters the room and runs around, then punches a pillow, and many more, overreacting.

Trizha: "Damn it, damn it all! Why out of all times…! Now I just lost all of that Confidence…!"

Trizha shouted as she ran around, punching stuff as if they were physical forms of embarrassment. Meanwhile, Nomoro is standing in the middle of the doorway, watching Trizha run around with a calm yet confused expression.

Nomoro, in his thoughts: "What is she doing…"

Nomoro thinks as he sees his bag aside at the couch, which makes a sound loud enough to steal attention from Trizha, which stops her from her tracks and finally noticing Nomoro, her expression filled with emotions such as confusion and realization.

Trizha: "Wait– you–"

Nomoro: "Yeah… I'm your roommate. But don't worry… I won't tell anyone what I just saw."

Nomoro says as he takes a step forward to go to his bag. But from Trizha's perspective, she thinks that Nomoro is approaching her… and that… intimidates her. Because she started to remember All of the memories where she had treated Nomoro so cruelly… along, with that one time she said;

.

.

"You shouldn't even be here. You don't deserve to be here."

.

.

Trizha: "No… NO!!"

Trizha then suddenly starts to grab things, even objects that are hard, and starts throwing them at Nomoro. Nomoro gets startled in shock when something hits him in the head, followed by more of them as he raises his arms to cover himself in defense.

Nomoro: "Trizha– Wha–"

Trizha: "stay away, stay away!!"

Trizha said as she took a step back, her eyes filled with unshed tears as she ran to the back to grab some more items to throw at Nomoro. She doesn't know what she was doing, recklessly deciding that throwing objects at one person would make him back off.

However, Nomoro doesn't back away, approaching Trizha as he tries to dodge or block some of the objects thrown at him. He doesn't know what and why she was doing it either, but either way, bad intentions or pure, he wanted to understand why by approaching her.

After a short while, Nomoro managed to get close to Trizha and immediately went to grab her wrists using both of his hands, finally stopping her reckless rampage.

Trizha: "You– LET ME GO!!"

Nomoro: "No! Not until you tell me why you were throwing and hurling things at me back there!"

Nomoro's grip on Trizha's wrists aren't hard enough to hurt her, just enough to hold her in her place.

Trizha: "No…! I… I don't deserve it…"

Nomoro: "What…?"

And so, Trizha takes this chance to escape by kicking Nomoro by his stomach, causing him to squirm in pain and finally releasing his hand off Trizha, as she runs past him and opens the bedroom door before entering it and locking it behind her, sighing in relief as she slides her back down and sat down with her back leaned against the door.

At the same time, Nomoro manages to get up and approach the door, his hand covering his stomach as he looks at it for a moment, staying silent for a second before knocking the door gently, trying to reason with her.

Nomoro: "Trizha…?"

Trizha: "No… no one's here…"

Nomoro: "Trizha… i-i I'm sorry if I actually did hurt you earlier–"

Trizha: "Just go away!"

Nomoro gets startled at the shout from Trizha, sighing in defeat as he turns around and says;

Nomoro: "I see… just… recover in there for a while… I'm sorry."

Nomoro says in a soft tone, before walking off to leave Trizha alone for a while. At the same time, Trizha is curled into a ball, hugging her legs as she hides her face in her thighs, sobbing softly, muttering;

Trizha: "Nomoro… I… I'm sorry, too… I'm just not prepared… just, stay away from me for a while…"

.

.

.

"...I don't deserve your forgiveness yet…"
