Nightmare
The child is healthy, but the mother has died.
The midwife stepped out to address the family gathered outside the room.
The dead woman's father spoke and said,
"I will go. I don't wish to see that cursed child."
There was sadness in his voice, yet his words commanded one thing.
He wanted no ties with his granddaughter.
The woman in the dream began to experience rough breathing.
"It all happened because I was with her."
"You took Mother away from me."
"I should never have let you accompany my child to the kingdom."
"I never believed you were cursed, but you are."
As the voices faded, the dream unraveled. The woman jolted awake.
"Ahhh... ahh... ahhh... ahhh..."
She was breathing heavily.
Her maid immediately offered her water.
"Did you get those dreams again?" asked the maid.
"Yes."
