Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Permissions

When Jade Walker spoke seriously, Lucas immediately understood how important this was. Without delay, he began writing the application form, and once it was done, he signed his name and officially approved it!

That moment felt very official—he really felt like a vice president now.

There was a sense of authority in it, and Lucas was clearly enjoying the feeling.

After completing the application, he placed the cool, heavy-duty, Transcendent-level motorcycle into his space backpack. With that, he officially gained permission to use it.

It even came with an awesome helmet.

Just like you should wear a life vest when fishing, wearing a helmet while riding a powerful motorcycle was essential. It was basic safety, and Lucas took that very seriously. He wasn't careless at all.

Even though he was itching to ride the bike and test it out, he knew there were more things to handle first, so he had to hold back the excitement!

"The vehicle's done. Do you want to change your equipment next?" Jade Walker asked, noticing the excitement in his eyes. "You can also apply for new gear from the guild according to your needs!"

Lucas blinked in surprise. "I can request equipment from the guild too?"

Honestly, this was all too good to be true for him. Up until now, he had always worn a random mix of blue-grade equipment because he didn't have the money to buy better gear.

But now, as the vice president of a major guild, it felt like everything was being handed to him!

"Of course," Jade said with a nod. "Any senior manager in the guild can apply for a set of equipment, free to use, as long as it's available in our warehouse."

"And when you level up," she continued, "you can also apply to exchange it for higher-level equipment. This is one of the benefits of being in a leadership role in our guild!"

She sounded proud of this setup, but then her voice became serious.

"But just so you remember—the gear still belongs to the guild. It's not yours personally. You can't sell it or trade it away. That's against the rules."

Lucas nodded. "I understand."

He believed rules were necessary. The stricter the system, the stronger and more organized the guild would become.

Then Jade led him to the guild's Logistics Department, where he browsed through the available gear.

After carefully considering his choices, Lucas applied for and received the Level 20 rare-grade Night Walker Armor Set—a purple-grade equipment set with impressive stats.

As soon as he put the armor on, Lucas felt his stats improve dramatically.

He also applied for three accessories: a waist ornament and two rings.

All three items were purple-quality, and the two rings were far better than his old 'Tiger Tooth Ring'. His old waist accessory had also been replaced with something better.

As for the pendant, he chose not to replace his 'Ogre's Bloodthirsty Pendant'—it was too good. It had an excellent blood-sucking effect and was one of the top pendant choices for Level 20 players. It still suited his build perfectly.

Now dressed in brand-new, high-grade gear, Lucas felt like he had just upgraded from a slingshot to a rocket launcher. His attack power had skyrocketed!

He was itching to go try it out, maybe go fight some wild monsters.

He remembered that the guild's training area had a battle simulation system—you could spawn virtual monsters with customized difficulty. He made a mental note to test that soon.

While admiring his sharp, stylish new look, Lucas grinned from ear to ear.

Jade noticed his joy and smiled as well. She understood how he felt.

Any job changer would be thrilled with better equipment.

However, she was puzzled that Lucas hadn't applied for a new weapon or pendant.

This made her wonder again: Was his current weapon already extremely powerful?

Maybe it was a five-star, purple-grade weapon with top-tier stats?

His pendant probably had similar quality, which might explain why he didn't feel the need to change them.

Still… just those two items alone couldn't explain his past bursts of incredible damage.

Was she underestimating him again?

He might not even need ultimate gear—his talent alone was enough to cause terrifying output.

He truly wasn't just your average S-level player.

His awakened skill must be extremely powerful—perhaps even overpowered.

Their guild had found a true treasure.

His future was limitless.

Jade found herself even happier than Lucas, proud of the decision she made to bring him into the guild.

It was probably the smartest decision she'd ever made.

"Come on, Lucas," Jade said with a bright smile. "Let me show you your office."

She led him upstairs.

"This whole floor is for the vice president—that's you now. My president's office is just one floor above."

She pointed upward to show him.

"But I won't be spending much time here," she added. "I'm currently focused on leveling up to complete my Fourth Advancement, so I won't be in the HQ very often."

Then, she handed him her personal contact information.

The number they had used before was just the general contact number used by the recruitment team.

Giving him her personal contact was a clear sign that she trusted him and considered him part of her inner circle.

Lucas saved the number in his phone under the name President Jade and nodded seriously.

"I'll be focusing on leveling too," he said. "So I won't be around here often either."

Even though an entire floor was now his office, Lucas didn't plan to use it much.

He was only Level 25—there wasn't much he could do as a guild officer yet.

His main goal right now was to level up.

"That's what I'm hoping for too," Jade said with a warm look.

Then, she took him up one more floor to the president's office for a final chat.

Jade sat in her leather chair, with a wide floor-to-ceiling window behind her. From there, she could see the entire city of Kyoto below. It was a breathtaking view.

She looked at Lucas seriously.

"Lucas, you have so much potential," she said. "I truly believe in you."

"I hope you can level up quickly and eventually fight alongside me."

Her voice was filled with confidence and expectation.

In her vision, Level 100 with four advancements was when the real game began.

That was the purpose behind her founding the Tower Demolition Guild—to gather players strong enough to dominate the game at the highest levels.

Lucas looked at her thoughtfully and asked, "President Jade, what level are you now?"

"I'm Level 73," she replied casually, after checking her stats panel. "It'll probably take about a year and a half to reach Level 80 and complete the fourth advancement."

It was an honest and realistic goal.

Jade had already said before how tiring and repetitive leveling up could be. It was a long, boring grind of killing monsters and farming experience points.

That's why she had been so impressed by how much Lucas actually seemed to enjoy it.

His passion made her even more certain she had made the right choice.
