Chapter 94 - Chapter 94 – Guild Headquarters

"Well, it doesn't have attack power, so it can't hurt monsters," Jade Walker explained, "but it works like a car. We use it to travel through the wilderness because walking on foot is just too slow."

She turned slightly on the motorcycle and glanced back at Lucas, who was riding with her.

"You're only around level 20 now, so you might not notice yet," she continued, "but as monsters get stronger, they're found farther from the main city. If we didn't have special vehicles, most of our time would be wasted just walking."

"I see," Lucas nodded, now understanding just how important fast travel could be. He had already noticed how far he had to go to hunt level 30 monsters. Walking truly took up most of his day.

"And this thing can drive around the city too!" Jade smiled, seeing Lucas stare at the motorcycle with admiration. "Do you like it? This model costs around 12 million."

Lucas instantly froze.

"Twelve… million?"

He blinked. That number made his heart drop. As someone who was practically broke, the glowing excitement in his eyes dimmed instantly.

There was no way he could afford something so expensive unless he sold his Legendary Phoenix Ring—which he would never do.

If it was just a few million, maybe he could grind and save. But 12 million? Too steep. Better to buy equipment instead.

"But—good news," Jade said, grinning at his expression. "As vice president, you're allowed to use a guild vehicle for free!"

Lucas's eyes lit up again.

"All you have to do is file an application and approve it yourself—since you're authorized to. That's one of your privileges!"

With that, she pulled her helmet down and looked over her shoulder. "Get on. Let's go!"

"Alright!" Lucas said with enthusiasm, jumping onto the back of the motorcycle.

He didn't dare hold onto Jade's waist. Instead, he firmly gripped a metal handlebar on the side of the bike.

Jade gave a smirk, twisted the accelerator, and with a powerful roar, the motorcycle took off like a bullet.

Lucas nearly flew off the back, but managed to hold on. His heart pounded with adrenaline.

"Wow! This is awesome! I need one!" he shouted in his mind.

Instead of being scared, he was thrilled. The rush of wind, the speed, the noise—it was exactly his kind of ride.

---

The guild headquarters of the Tower Demolition Team was located in the Eastern District of Kyoto's main city.

It wasn't just a building—it was a towering structure that took up an entire block. Massive, well-furnished, and full of life, it looked more like a private company headquarters than a player's guild.

"No wonder Jade drives a bike worth over 10 million," Lucas thought as they approached.

When they arrived at the gates, Lucas took in the towering structure and the polished logo hanging at the front.

And that's when his jaw dropped.

The guild's badge… was a childish drawing.

A giant fist smashing through a tall tower, cracking it in the middle, with a few bricks flying off.

It perfectly matched the guild's name—Tower Demolition Team—but the style? It looked like a child's crayon sketch.

"Is this... really the official emblem?" Lucas stared, speechless.

Jade proudly crossed her arms and declared, "I designed it myself—when I was four years old!"

Lucas almost tripped.

"Wait, you're... proud of this?" he thought.

It was almost too much. If he'd known what the guild badge looked like beforehand, he might've hesitated to join.

"Someone get Emily Frost! Call the head of Logistics! We need help!" he joked to himself internally.

But he didn't dare say anything out loud. He just nodded silently.

"Humph, you don't know art!" Jade teased, clearly enjoying his reaction.

She pulled him inside the building and began to give him a full tour.

---

"This is the front lobby. We greet visitors and handle basic stuff here."

"This is the meeting hall—only top guild officials like us hold meetings here."

"Over there is the training grounds, fully equipped with virtual monsters for combat practice. You can set their level and type."

"This is the duel arena. You can spar here—your health stops at 1 HP, and no one dies, so it's safe."

"This is our kitchen and dining hall. Our chef? S-Class. But if you want buffet meals… well, you have to pay for it."

"This is the database, which holds information like member lists, mission records, meeting notes, equipment blueprints, and potion recipes."

"This is the logistics warehouse. Emily Frost is in charge. I don't even know what's in there—but if you're curious, you can check."

"This is our guild store. Members can exchange points for items. You earn points by doing guild tasks. As vice president, you also get a monthly allowance of points."

"That's our dormitory area. You can move in if you want—but fair warning, there are a lot of girls here, so don't wander into the wrong room."

"This weird machine here? It's a daily random BUFF lottery machine. Costs a thousand per spin. You can get a 12-hour buff—or debuff. Luck of the draw!"

"Wanna try?" Jade grinned.

Lucas nodded, curious. He tossed in a thousand credits and spun the machine.

"Attack power +5%!"

"Lucky!" Jade said with a smile. "Most people get speed reduction or something awful."

Lucas was impressed. The place was far more organized and advanced than he imagined.

They bumped into a few guild members during the tour. Most gave Lucas curious glances—especially seeing him walking around with Jade.

"Is he the new vice president?"

That was the question in everyone's eyes.

Jade, however, waved them off and kept moving.

"After this round of recruitment ends, I'll introduce you properly," she whispered to Lucas. "Don't worry, no need to deal with a bunch of attention just yet."

Lucas appreciated that. He didn't like being the center of attention. Being low-key was his style.

---

Finally, they arrived at a large elevator and went down to the underground garage.

"This is the vehicle depot," Jade announced. "Go ahead. Pick one!"

Lucas's eyes sparkled as the doors opened.

The room was enormous, filled with:

Heavy-duty motorcycles

Off-road jeeps

Massive transport buses

A few high-altitude helicopters

And even living mounts!

Yes, giant beasts with saddles.

One looked like a cross between a raptor and an ostrich, feathers and scales both present. Others resembled armored wolves and flying eagles.

"What the—?!" Lucas thought.

"These were tamed by our beast tamer," Jade explained. "He's not strong in battle, but his skill is in catching and training wild creatures to serve as mounts."

"They're popular because they can go where vehicles can't—through forests, over rivers, even up cliffs."

Lucas was impressed. This really felt like a game world now.

Then his eyes landed on one specific bike.

It was jet black, had a muscular mechanical body, fiery orange patterns on its frame, and tires that looked like they could climb mountains.

It looked fast, loud, and sturdy.

He was in love.

"This one," Lucas said, standing next to it.

"Oh? I thought you'd like that one," Jade said with a smirk. "It's yours. But remember—file the application form first."

"If you don't, Emily will throw a fit. She hates missing inventory. She's already paranoid about people touching stuff without logging it."

Lucas grinned. He'd found his ride.
