Chapter 3 - Deceit?

Gia couldn't process what was happening until the dungeon door unlocked and they started dragging her grandmother out.

Holding onto her to stop them from taking her earned her a kick to the stomach, she fell to the ground weakened and could only watch as they proceeded to kill her grandmother.

As life drained out of her, Gia became blinded with fury.

Her whole body hurts from fighting against the men and they had kicked her several times before she became weak but she was suddenly charged with strength from anger.

Yanking at the piece of necklace on her neck, her whole body became charged with powerful force.

Her wounds healed and she stood up.

She had always worn that necklace since she was born and has been warned not to take it off.

It was a seal on her real power.

Coming from a clan of powerful females, her grandmother and mother come from a lineage of old sorceresses that will finally end with her if she dies today.

"I asked you to kill me instead, why don't you listen?" Gia asked in a soft voice as her black eyes slowly changed to purple, her hair also turning white.

But despite the sadness in her voice, the purple flames burning in her eyes increased.

"The purple fire?

I thought only the women in your lineage could command them.

Who knows this would ever show up in front of me again." Alpha Leon said in amusement, as he stood watching in surprise.

His men had all moved back in panic, unsure of what was happening.

Gia ignored his words and charged forward, blinded by fury.

Alpha Leon's eyes darkened and his nails elongated with the intent to kill her immediately she was close enough.

With the intention to kill each other they collided forcefully and Gia placed a hand to his chest wanting to kill him.

Alpha Leon's hand clasped around her neck and he tightened his hand squeezing forcefully, he was so focused that he did not feel it at first.

But soon, a tingling sensation caresses his palm where it was touching her.

A sensation that could only be felt by mates.

'mate'

His wolf declared at the back of his mind and his eyes bulged out in shock.

Throwing her forcefully at the wall closeby.

His eyes continued to show how much shock was going through his mind and he became too shocked to speak.

"This is not happening!" he exclaimed.

"What caused this much damage, Alpha?

It's like you have been burned by fire!" The pack's doctor asked as he examined the palm print on his chest left by Gia.

Alpha Leon did not pay attention to his words as his mind raced with different thoughts.

'Mate?

Impossible!'

He continued to ponder as the doctor quietly treated his wound.

He has a chosen mate, the mating ceremony is in a few days and that is one of the reasons he had sent his men to remove all forms of threats from the pack's territory in preparation for his mating ceremony.

And now, his true mate had come out of nowhere. And it's a male?.

"Why is it not healing?" Alpha Leon asked the doctor as he glanced down at the wound on his chest in anger, its presence continued to remind him of the cause.

"I think it has something to do with some special force, the seer should have something for it" the doctor replied carefully and moved back as the Alpha's expression turned dark.

Dismissing the doctor, he sat in total silence as his sudden discovery continued to disturb him.

"Make sure that mutt is chained and double guarded, I would tolerate no mistake" he said to his right hand man before leaving his room where the doctor had attended to him.

The seer's eyes widened in shock as she inspected the wound.

"This is purple flame," she said simply and curtly.

The Alpha's gaze sharpened at her words.

"Where did you come in contact with it?

It's hard to treat, only the person that did that can heal it" she replied and stood out of her seat.

Alpha Leon's eyes widened at that, he cannot imagine asking his prisoner to heal him.

"Why won't it heal?" He asked.

"It's filled with anger and vengeance," She said, nodding.

"It can only be soothed and to make that ointment would take days.

It will also fester and grow, it's safer to heal it. So I would advise you to ask the person to heal you".

"No, I can't." He replied and left the seer's place deeply troubled.

The thought of bringing himself to that level left him unsettled.

He has always been known to be stubborn and his pride has a role to play in that.

He believes and always believed that nothing could hurt not him.

When he fought repeatedly for months ten years ago he did not sustain any injury. He was given a task by his father.

And for this mission, he travelled for two years.

Conquered five packs and wiped off several towns.

Doing all that, nothing had happened to him.

But now, he has been hurt in his own pack.

Inside the dungeon, Gia's breath came in shallow and uneven takes.

The Warriors had weakened her with wolfsbane before chaining her up.

Her normally weak wolf got weaker and her wounds refused to heal.

Every breath comes like it was her last.

"Won't he wake up and burn us all down?" One of the guards asked as they watched her fearfully like a wild animal.

"I don't think so, the wolfsbane is enough to kill her. I would be surprised if she wakes at all" One of them said with snickers and they all hollered.

"Bring him out" the Alpha's voice sounded suddenly startling them. And they scurry apart.

They obeyed and dragged Giavanna out of the dungeon and to the ground beside the Alpha's feet.

Now that she is not charging at him, a distinct scent came off her and he became furious once again because his wolf had become excited just because of her scent.

He frowned slightly but ignoring the sensation he was feeling, Alpha Leon's bent down and touched around her body.

He has seen her yank something off before she attacked him.

He wanted to see what it was but his roaming hand stopped suddenly.

His brows fused together in confusion.

"Alpha is everything alright?" One of his men asked as they stood watching.

Ignoring them, he turned her over and ripped the top of her shirt to see properly and the top of her bosom came into view, shocking everyone present.

"Those are not supposed to be on the chest of a man!" One of them yelled in shock.
