As it began to thunder in the sky and raindrops covered the ground, Liebe and Licht charged towards each other as their blades clashed.
Licht said, "Why the hell this of all the ways to heal her? Answer me!"
Liebe said, "There was no other choice. I looked all over. I had no other choice. It's for the best."
Licht said, "Then what about our memories? The memories we made as friends? All those years?"
Liebe said, "As the spell caster, I will have mine to remember her as my sin of failing to protect her."
Licht hit Liebe in the stomach with his knee and said, "Yeah, and what about the erased memories? What about her past? No one in the world will know who she is."
Liebe said, "No. History will change to the new reality. Everyone will be granted new memories."
Licht said, "Yeah, and what the hell about her family? Have you forgotten how her stepmothers and sisters treated her? Huh? What about them?" As Licht's rapier broke Liebe's left-hand sword.
Liebe said, "I have. The new reality will be different. They will have memories of loving her, spoiling her. She was looked down upon for her magic. With the Gravity attribute, she won't be looked down upon."
Licht said, "Idiot! No matter what you do, people's perspective won't change with memories. Scum will remain scum."
Liebe said, "Even so, with her power, she will be an asset none can ignore."
Licht said, "Your grand plan is pity."
Liebe said, "It's to save her."
As in their clash of attacks, both blades broke and it became a fistfight.
Licht said, "Answer me, Liebe. Why? Why the hell isn't there another choice?"
Liebe said, "I tried. I tried all I could. I looked over 125 nations. I looked for every miracle healer."
Licht said, "Then goddamn look harder! I can look further!"
Liebe said, "Shut up! We don't have that kind of hope."
As Licht said, "Why the hell not?"
Liebe said, "Because seeing the person you love suffer is the worst hell of them all." As he grabbed Licht by the head and hit him with his knee, then he did an uppercut. As Licht was on the ground, Liebe said, "I hate this reality as well, but it's the only way. Accept it. Licht, you are tired on the ground. You can't continue. I have won."
As even when down, Licht crawled and grabbed Liebe by the leg as he said, "Liebe, you haven't beat me yet. I'm not done yet."
Liebe said, "Don't force yourself. Dark Magic: Dark Castling!" As he teleported away.
Mia rushed to Licht and said, "Admiral, are you alright?"
Licht said, "I lost. Shit." As he slammed his fist on the ground in the rain.
Mia said, "You need help, sir. Flame Magic: Healing Flames!" As she tried to heal him the best to her abilities.
As Licht teared up, he said, "I'm goddamn useless."
Mia said, "We should try to head back, sir."
Licht said, "I need a few hours. When my magic is back, I can call Gelda to get us."
Mia said, "What now, sir?"
Licht said, "I'm going... going for a few days after tomorrow's funeral."
Mia said, "I understand. What shall I do during those few days?"
Licht said, "I don't know. Maybe stay at my parents' house. Maybe it's for the best."
Meanwhile, in Eldoria, as Liebe teleported to the hospital:
Isurugi said, "Fleet Admiral, where is Admiral Licht?"
Liebe, tears streaming down his face, said, "Licht left Team Liebe. We have to be without him from now on."
