"All fourteen of them are buffing Jared now," someone observed. Jared snarled, "I won't lose to you."
Liebe replied, "This is your funeral." "Dark Magic — Dark Impact." He punched Jared so hard it knocked the sense out of him. Then Liebe bound chains to Jared's neck. The chains choked him, breaking through shock absorption and protection. Jared gasped for air.
"You see how you attempted to defile my mother?" Liebe said. "Just like I promised—you deserve a trillion deaths." Jared, barely able to speak, stammered, "Please… forgive me, Dark Lord Liebe Faust, heir to the throne of Faust—"
Liebe said, "I will in hell." Then the chains vanished as Jared tried to crawl away. Liebe declared, "I hereby execute you for your sins." As Jared tried to run, Liebe unleashed, "Dark Magic — Dark Emplosion Impact." He punched Jared hard enough that Jared flew and crashed into the campus building where Otiz and Obsidian watched. The impact broke walls; Jared lay motionless in the rubble.
Liebe said, "Sirs, I have won. I defeated Jared."
Obsidian said, "Impressive. Now get the nurse—otherwise he may die soon."
Otiz said, "After seeing that battle, it's for sure you will win the World Championships this year."
Liebe walked to Licht. Licht said, "Good job. But will he survive?"
Liebe replied, "Right now he might live, but he will die in a few hours. The chains already turned his limbs numb from cutting off air, and then I punched him in the heart. Even with the other fourteen helping, I doubt his heart is anything but mush. He will die from respiratory failure—he doesn't have much oxygen in his lungs, and whatever he had left can't be properly pumped since his heart won't work right."
Licht said, "Okay then, I understand. You really are a vindictive man, Liebe."
Liebe shrugged, "Well, let's go. Alysa is probably making lunch. Let's get going before it turns cold."
Licht said, "I usually prefer it at room temperature."
Liebe said, "Same, but not cold—that's why I like to sit while it's hot, so I can eat when it cools to the perfect temperature."
Licht said, "Let's go. Dating for only a day and you've already changed so much—guess it's true what they say: love really does change a man."
