Luke snapped his fingers, activating the Blood Creation Quirk within Nyx.
It was just like Momo's Creation, but, instead of lipids, it used Red Blood Cells to create objects.
Ever since she had decided to become Seer, Nyx had been diligently memorizing Stellar Aqua Crystal's composition.
Meanwhile, Luke had already prepared the rest of the Organic Ingredients for her.
With a multicolored light shining from her back, the crystal came sprouting out like a flower.
Instantly, Nyx felt the weight of the loss of blood so suddenly, her claws digging dip into Luke's shoulder.
As Luke brewed the potion, Nyx rested herself, coming to an optimal condition.
When he was done, Luke eyed Nyx with a rare seriousness in his eyes. "Have you decided?" he asked, approaching her. "The image for your Cogitation?"
Nyx nodded. "I am not telling you, though. Don't you dare ask me!"
Luke nodded. Cogitation was simple, but it had already saved his life so many times. Till now, this could be the most important thing he had learned in the field of mysticism, he believed.
"Alright, I won't ask…" he said.
"OK!" Nyx cawed. "I will tell you! No need to grovel… Jeez! It's Momo's full-grown bazoombas!"
Luke's entire face crumpled. "NYX!!!"
…
Luke added a drop of his blood into the potion and saw it sizzling, red vapors rising off in circles.
Nyx took the potion from him and downed it one gulp.
Luke activated his Spirit Vision and what he saw left him gobsmacked.
A storm of golden spirit particles was raging within Nyx, many colored stars shining on her body as if she were a vast night sky.
Then, likely as she focused on the image in her mind, the storm began losing its intensity.
However, by the time it completely calmed down, the number of Spirit Particles she held had already increased.

Nyx's Stats:
— Spirit 150
— Stamina 25
]
…
Luke noticed Nyx's Spirit Points had increased by 30 Points. That's one more Moderate Quirk…
"How are you feeling?" Luke asked, worrying as Nyx didn't open her eyes.
Nyx opened one of her eyes and closed it right away. "Shut up. Let me Cogitate."
"…"
Luke let out a sigh and took out the glossy bead from his pocket.
With another Seer by his side, it was finally time to interrogate the Nomu they had kidnapped.
…
20 minutes later,
Luke and Nyx, who had become a black mask on his face, eyed the tall, Lower Tier Nomu with a hole in its chest, from dozens of feet away.
The light-skinned Nomu was massive, but its long arms hung low to its knees.
Right now, a bat was clung to its exposed brain. Another bat was curled up inside the hole in its chest.
Luke had bestowed the bat attached to the Nomu's head with the Compression Quirk, and both bats also had Detonation Quirks.
If things went sour, he could either confine the Nomu, or, if failed in that, he could blast the Nomu's brain and insides to smithereens with a snap of his fingers.
However, contrary to Luke's expectations and preparations, the Nomu hadn't reacted at all.
The hole burned through it by the fist-sized wasn't enough to kill it. Its many bulbous eyes were still rolling around, embedded deep within its exposed brain. Yet, the creature just refused to move, saliva dripping from the corners of its mouth as it waited for the command.
"We should have kidnapped the other one," Nyx cawed, a beak taking shape near his ear. "This one's dumber than Kaminari when he exceeds his wattage limit…"
Luke doubted it.
Until the appearance of High-End Nomus, all other Nomus from Lower Tier to Upper Tier lacked intelligence in his previous life.
"Can you speak?" Luke asked, starting with a basic question. "Are you in there?"
The Lower Tier Nomu let out a grunt.
Luke suddenly stepped back, his thumb landing on the middle finger of his hand. One strange movement, and he would blow the Nomu up.
However, the grunt let out by a Nomu seemed nothing more than a beastly growl.
Its eyes kept rolling, its head also kept moving, and the muscles under its skin kept squirming. But, even then, Luke couldn't spy any hint of sentience in its behavior.
Miss Justice… Luke thought, asking the System. Can I take those names in front of it? It must bring out a reaction, right?
…
[
Conformity and Singularity? It's a double-edged sword, Luke. You can be assured that the moment you speak those names out loud, both will know of it.
That would itself defeat the purpose of kidnapping the Nomu.
You want to speak to the one who had possessed the Nomu during the Jaku Incident, right? But how do we know if it was Conformity or Singularity? We can only make a guess, but we can't be certain.
When such Existences are involved, I would advise doing nothing that hangs on guesses alone.
]
…
Luke's mouth flattened into a thin line.
You are right, Miss Justice, he realized. If both of Them decided to possess this Nomu, then… I don't know what would happen… Sigh!
Luke was still feeling alright because of the two bats with Detonation Quirks clinging to the Nomu.
What if, even after blowing them up, the Nomu didn't die because of this queer possession?
Luke doubted that he could run away with Descorrer fast enough before the Nomu caught up to him.
Still, it wasn't like he had any choice.
If he couldn't go with both of Their names, then he would just go with a name that came out of his guts.
Luke gulped.
"Conformity…" he said, his muscles going taut. "Are you there?"
There was a stillness around Luke.
The water was gurgling as it pooled under the underground waterfall, before streaming down the massive cave.
There was a tick-tick noise of some insects as well. Both bats were clicking, too, their eyes planted hard on the man holding their fate between his fingers.
Suddenly, a quietness pervaded in Luke's surroundings.
It was a quietness that seeped into the bones.
A chill ran down Luke's spine.
It was as if something unknown had begun crawling his fingers up his throat before wrapping them around his neck.
On his face, even Nyx trembled. "Man… this was stupid…" she cawed, stuttering.
Just as Luke thought something was going to happen, something ominous, all those feelings disappeared.
It was like they weren't there, to begin with.
Everything could be heard, seen, and sensed as clearly as before.
Even the Nomu, the supposed channel between Luke and Conformity, was just standing as aloof as before, showing no reaction.
Miss Justice did you…
…
[
Sigh!
No. I didn't sense any burst of Spirituality, Luke.
Phew! And I was already praying to Mr. Fool to pull me up…
]
…
Luke's mouth twitched.
"Let's call it a day," he said, sighing. "We will keep trying it. One day or another, I will get answers out of this Nomu."
With that, Luke snapped his fingers, activating Compression, while simultaneously canceling the Detonation Quirks within the bats.
The bat that was curled inside the hole within the Nomu's chest flew away instantly, as Moderate Complexity Detonation alone hadn't mutated it beyond redemption.
Contrary to the lucky one, the bat clinging to the Nomu's brain involuntarily activated the Compression before bursting apart in a mass of flesh and blood.
A blue burst of light shone around the Nomu, confining it in a glossy bead once again.
However, unseen by Luke and Nyx, just as the glossy, mystical boundary swallowed it up, the corners of the Nomu's mouth arched up ever so slightly.
