Theo's P.O.V
The car rolled to a stop right in front of my building, this run-down flat that looked like a joke compared to the luxury apartment he lived in. I hesitated before getting out, stealing a glance at him. His face hadn't changed one bit. Still cold. Still stiff. Still somehow infuriating.
"I know you were decent to me tonight," I said, voice steady, "and yeah, you brought me home. But that doesn't change my decision. I'm still terminating the pregnancy."
Nothing. Not a word. Not even a twitch in his expression. He didn't look at me, didn't argue, didn't flinch.
I swallowed hard. "But… for what you did, saving me from Kayle…" My throat tightened. God, why was it so hard to say this? "Thank you. If you hadn't shown up, I might've been dead."
Still nothing. Just silence. Of course. Why did I even bother? I should've just gotten out and left without saying a damn thing. Standing there, talking to someone who won't even acknowledge you, it's humiliating.
