Chapter 235 - Chapter 235: Tsunade's Bet

Tsunade's gaze slowly settled into calm, and so did Orochimaru's. However, Hiashi Hyuga and Fumiro Aburame, who had less interaction with Minato, clearly still struggled to grasp what had just unfolded before them.

They were all clan leaders—child prodigies raised as the elite of their generation, hailed as geniuses.

Yet compared to this kid standing before them, how could all the praise they once received suddenly feel so trivial?

Minato finally shifted his attention back to the Rasengan and said, "I want to further develop it based on the Rasengan."

"Develop it further?"

Tsunade was stunned. After all, the Rasengan had already reached the pinnacle of shape transformation; she couldn't imagine how it could possibly be improved.

"Yes," Minato nodded. "In fact, in my original concept for a ninja technique, the Rasengan isn't even the final form—it's just a prototype."

These people standing before him were among Konoha's strongest elites, so Minato decided to share every detail about the Rasengan with them. He wanted to pool everyone's wisdom to help perfect the technique he envisioned.

"This is only a prototype?"

Orochimaru exclaimed in disbelief. He considered himself a genius, yet so far had nothing more than ideas without having created any actual new techniques. Meanwhile, Minato seemed to have surpassed him both in concept and practice.

"How do you plan to develop it further?" Hiashi asked. He suspected that Minato likely already had thoughts on its evolution. Presumably, the ultimate version of the Rasengan would be the one Minato mentioned earlier—one capable of matching Sakumo Hatake's ultimate attack.

Still, he was extremely curious. How exactly could such a thing be done?

"By adding nature transformation to shape transformation, combining two types of chakra change—shape and nature—into one single technique. At that point, the Rasengan's power absolutely won't fall short of Senior Sakumo's full-power strike!"

Minato was confident about this. After all, designing this technique had consumed years of his effort and mental energy.

"I see."

Tsunade and the others suddenly understood. This time, the shock was far less noticeable than before.

After all… they'd long run out of ways to be surprised.

Though none of them currently possessed Minato's talent for creating new Ninjutsu techniques, following his line of thinking, they could easily imagine how immensely powerful the newly created technique would be.

Combining two chakra natures was somewhat like combining techniques—but unlike simple combinations, this kind of fusion would multiply the power several times over.

If combining two A-rank techniques could be terrifying enough, then multiplying that effect severalfold made Minato's claim of rivaling Sakumo's ultimate strike sound almost modest.

"So then, how far along is your development right now?" Tsunade asked again.

Minato exchanged a glance with Sakumo and proceeded to recount what happened during their time in the Land of Grass. Naturally, he avoided mentioning anything about the Nine-Tails' chakra.

As Minato led the conversation carefully, Tsunade slowly began to realize why he had chosen to tell her all of this.

Because through analyzing Minato's information, the biggest problem in developing the Rasengan came down to Minato's own Chakra Reserves Amount.

Suddenly, she understood Minato's intention. Smiling at him, she said, "So after all that beating around the bush, what you're really asking is—do I have any medicines that can give someone a temporary chakra boost?"

Minato smiled. He inherently possessed the Nine-Tails' Chakra, so this wasn't an issue for him. However, he now needed to perform a jutsu not yet fully developed, and even if completed, his current self wouldn't be able to perform it.

He absolutely could not reveal anything about the Nine-Tails, so from the beginning, he was inevitably seeking Tsunade's help.

"Is there such a medicine available?"

Minato asked. In his previous life, he had never dealt with any drugs used by ninja, so he didn't know much about them.

"Yes." Tsunade chuckled, saying, "If even this is beyond my capability, then I'd certainly live it down from you, kid."

"I would never dare," Minato immediately replied.

"Dare or not?" Tsunade continued. "But this type of drug does cause certain damage to the body. Are you sure you want to use it?"

"Definitely."

Minato answered decisively. Although history predicted Konoha would eventually defeat Suna in a war of attrition, Minato knew he still had to do everything possible to secure the greatest advantage for his village.

Moreover, he also wanted to push himself, to see whether he could succeed in completing a ninja art he had previously failed to master.

"Give me three days; I'll prepare and deliver the medicine to you," Tsunade said.

"I will need at least two months," Minato nodded as he responded.

Even with Sakumo's guidance that simplified things, he had come close to success before. Yet Minato still wasn't entirely confident about developing a jutsu of this level.

"I understand."

This didn't surprise Tsunade. She hadn't tried estimating the time herself, since two months seemed rather short to her.

However, she would not doubt Minato, so she simply acknowledged his words.

"I also need to prepare the antidote for Chiyo's Poison during these two months. Focus solely on developing the jutsu without taking on any other missions."

Tsunade added, though already possessing the method to neutralize Chiyo's Poison, she still needed some time to analyze Desert's Sorrow, a poison flower she'd only heard of but had never encountered directly.

"Yes!" Minato replied.

Before long, Minato was the first to leave the place.

After he departed, Orochimaru said to Tsunade, "You're gambling... Two months to develop an S-rank jutsu. Do you think it's possible?"

Orochimaru wasn't alone in this belief; aside from Sakumo, everyone else shared the same thought.

"What do you think? A boy under eleven creates an A-rank jutsu and devises battle strategies rivaling those of the Hokage himself," Tsunade countered. These were things defying common sense, yet on Minato, they became reality.

She glanced at the four people before her. For the moment, they remained silent.

Tsunade yawned lazily, her snug ninja outfit accentuating the graceful curves of her slender body as she moved a little more dramatically.

She turned her head with a gentle smile and raised one eyebrow. "This time, I'm betting everything on Minato."

Orochimaru murmured skeptically, "Don't forget your luck at gambling has always been terrible..."

He knew Tsunade had a gambling problem—and that she never seemed to win.

Tsunade, known for never winning a gamble, appeared unusually relaxed at this moment, as if possessing boundless confidence in her bet.

A faint smirk touched her lips before she softly spoke,

"Don't forget, Minato really is something else..."
