Chapter 160 - Chapter 160: Aunt Yun

Under Xiao Yan's relentless coercion—both verbal and implied—Yun Yun finally yielded and pressed her fingerprint on the agreement he prepared. Naturally, it wasn't voluntary; her injuries had rendered her immobile, and Xiao Yan had all but forced her hand, quite literally. Fortunately for her, the black-robed youth in front of her still seemed to maintain a sliver of moral line when it came to women—if he were the lecherous kind, then what happened next would've probably required several thousand words of censorship.

Thinking of that, Yun Yun couldn't help but let out a long sigh in her heart. The low-grade healing medicine he gave her… If she were still in the Yunlan Sect, she wouldn't have even bothered picking it up off the floor. Yet now, she was paying a million gold coins just to get some. Truly, fate worked in strange ways.

When it came time to apply the medicine, she hesitated again. Embarrassed, she requested that Xiao Yan apply it with his eyes closed, as the wound was located on her chest. In response, Xiao Yan simply rolled his eyes and violently tore open the front of her robes.

"I already said, I rob wealth, not chastity. Can you trust in my professional ethics a little?" he muttered as he unceremoniously poured the medicine over the wound. "Besides, it's just a pair of lumps of flesh. What's the big deal?"

The sting of the medicine made Yun Yun's brows twitch slightly, but his crude description made her grind her teeth. This guy… what kind of language was that!?

"All done," Xiao Yan clapped his hands after a simple bandaging and backed away. He had no intention of being gentle—so long as she didn't die, that was enough. Honestly, he felt this woman was hopeless. Even when half-dead, she still fussed over modesty. He needed to stay far away from this kind of idiocy before it became contagious.

With her wounds tended, Xiao Yan pulled out the map once again and resumed studying it off to the side. Only after confirming he really didn't intend to do anything more, Yun Yun finally opened her eyes, breathing a quiet sigh of relief. As underhanded as he was, at least he still had some bottom line...

Just as she was about to soften slightly toward him, she realized something horrifying—her spatial ring was gone. Her gaze snapped toward Xiao Yan, and she bit her lip in fury. "Where's my ring?"

"How should I know? Maybe it fell off when that big lion sent you flying." Xiao Yan casually tossed the ring up and down in his hand as he spoke, pretending as though nothing had happened.

Staring at her own ring being treated like a toy, even someone as composed as Yun Yun felt the urge to start cursing. But with her current condition, she could only lie there helplessly and dream of the day she'd recover and beat him to death.

"What was your name again?" Xiao Yan asked nonchalantly, still toying with her ring.

"Yun Zhi," she responded moodily, using her old alias.

"Oh." Xiao Yan nearly chuckled. What a fool. In the entire Jia Ma Empire, she was the only known female Dou Huang. Did she seriously think a fake name would hide her identity? You'd have to be brain-dead to not realize who she really was.

"What about you? What's your name?" Yun Yun looked at the irritating youth who had humiliated her time and again and asked in turn.

"Mo Han," Xiao Yan said offhandedly.

"Mo Han? Are you from the Mo Clan?" she blinked. The Mo Clan of Salt City had decent relations with the Yunlan Sect. If this brat was one of theirs, she might not have to look far for payback.

"Why do you care? I may share the surname, but that doesn't mean I belong to your family." Xiao Yan responded with a scowl.

"Uh… that's not what I meant. I was asking if you're from the Mo Clan in Salt City?"

"Pfft." Xiao Yan sneered. "Salt City's Mo Clan? Never heard of them. What kind of low-tier garbage are they to deserve sharing a surname with me?"

Yun Yun blinked, realizing continuing this conversation would be pointless. She glanced at the small jade bottle containing the healing medicine and asked curiously, "Are you… an alchemist?"

"Can you stop asking dumb questions?" Xiao Yan groaned, clearly out of patience.

"Ahem, I just asked because I know an excellent alchemist. If you want, I could introduce you to him."

"I'll pass. I'm still young, not looking to take on disciples yet."

"I meant for you to become the disciple…"

"Then I'll pass even harder," Xiao Yan smirked. "You're clearly up to no good. What are you trying to do—pawn me off to some back-alley amateur and ruin my future? That'd be a tragic loss for the continent."

"Do you even know who I was going to recommend?" Yun Yun gritted her teeth.

"Who?"

"Dan King Gu He. Ever heard of him?"

"Oh, him. That sixth-tier alchemist who can only manage a seventy percent success rate on a basic four-tier Qi Gathering Powder? Please. I could brew that with my toes. If that's your standard, he shouldn't even be allowed to hand out flyers."

"You've got quite the mouth for someone so young."

"Of course I'm young. Unlike you, running around with one foot in the grave. Be careful or you'll throw your back out, Auntie Yun."

"You…!" Yun Yun almost leapt off the stone slab from sheer fury. Even her internal injuries seemed to flare up again. If she weren't paralyzed, she'd strangle him on the spot.

"Do I look that old to you?"

"Hmm… now that you mention it, maybe I did call you too young." Xiao Yan examined her with mock seriousness. "How about I correct myself? Auntie Yun is too polite. Let's go with Old Lady Yun? Or Grandma Yun?"

Yun Yun shut her eyes and went silent. She didn't want to hear another word. She was starting to regret surviving the fight with the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King. If she had known she'd meet this devil afterward, she might've welcomed death instead. Her injuries were nothing compared to the mental damage this brat was dealing her.
