Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 – Izumi Uchiha!

Yuya held a deep respect for Might Guy, Might Dai, and even Rock Lee. In a way, he felt he was becoming one of them.

Inside the ninja tool shop, a loud crash echoed, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"I'm really sorry," Might Dai said with an apologetic smile as he watched the shopkeeper struggle to drop a pile of weighted tools onto the ground.

"Honestly…" the shopkeeper replied, glancing at Might Dai with a hint of impatience. "Just take them and go!"

As Dai turned to leave, the shopkeeper muttered, "What good is it to only train in taijutsu? He'll be a genin for life."

Dai heard this remark and paused for a moment but didn't turn back. He simply marched away with the heavy weights he had purchased.

What a narrow-minded view.

Watching this scene, Yuya couldn't help but think of that phrase.

He knew all too well the true strength of the eternal genin, Might Dai, and how terrifying it was.

Yet, Dai was indeed just as he was in the original story—his temperament was remarkably good, able to endure such ridicule and walk away.

Shaking his head, Yuya stepped into the shop.

"I'll take two of those weighted tools... just two will be enough."

"You want those weights too?" the shopkeeper asked, surprised to see such a young child interested in taijutsu. He quickly retrieved two pieces.

They looked like two unremarkable iron plates, but they felt incredibly heavy in Yuya's hands.

"Even heavier than I imagined; it seems I won't be able to use them for a while," Yuya thought, feeling a bit helpless.

But he had already bought them, so he turned and walked out of the shop, his gaze flickering as he searched for the recently departed Might Dai.

It didn't take long to find him; he was too conspicuous.

Following Dai into a secluded grove, Yuya watched as Dai strapped on the heavy weights and began an intense training session.

The kind of training he was doing left Yuya in awe.

No wonder he was the one who could open the Eighth Gate and single-handedly defeat four members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen in the original story.

If the shopkeeper had known the true power of Konoha's eternal genin, he might have dropped his jaw in disbelief.

As Yuya observed Dai's training, he gradually realized that his own training methods were far too crude compared to Dai's.

A wave of excitement washed over him.

Without hesitation, Yuya committed Dai's training process to memory.

Although Dai was currently just a genin, Yuya believed that no one in Konoha could surpass him in taijutsu.

Learning from him would undoubtedly be beneficial.

After discovering Dai's training location, Yuya made it a point to sneak over and watch whenever he had the chance.

Since he didn't possess the Byakugan or Sharingan, he had to pay close attention and memorize everything bit by bit.

Over the course of nearly a month, following Dai's example, Yuya made significant progress in taijutsu. His physical strength and speed had nearly reached the level of a full-fledged genin.

During this time, he had finally managed to wear the two weighted plates.

Moreover, his shockwave power had increased significantly.

In an open area, Yuya clenched his fist, a dim white light flickering around it. He then struck a wooden post with all his might.

Crack!!!

The air rippled with cracks, resembling a shattered mirror.

Yuya's fist hadn't even touched the post; it was still a foot away, yet the post cracked under the shockwave and ultimately shattered.

"The shockwave power has increased a lot," Yuya said, a hint of excitement on his face.

If it were still the C-rank Great Fireball jutsu that Izumi Uchiha had used, Yuya was confident he could shatter it with a single punch, leaving not a single ember!

However, over the past month, Yuya had yet to see Might Dai practice the Eight Gates, which left him a bit disappointed.

He was very eager to understand the power of the Eight Gates.

"I should go check if Might Dai is practicing the Eight Gates," he thought, turning to head in the familiar direction.

However, before Yuya could reach the street, a boy wearing a forehead protector and a ninja uniform approached him.

This was a Chunin.

In Konoha, genin wore forehead protectors, while Chunins had special uniforms. Jonin uniforms differed slightly in the number of pockets.

This made it easy to identify a ninja's rank and which village they belonged to.

Unless someone was a powerful figure who had surpassed the average Jonin and was renowned throughout the ninja world, they would typically wear their uniforms.

Those individuals no longer needed clothing to identify themselves.

The Chunin, upon seeing Yuya, displayed a hint of arrogance and walked straight toward him.

"Do you have something to say?"

Yuya asked calmly, facing the Chunin.

Even though it was clear this person was looking for trouble, Yuya showed no signs of fear and responded with a composed demeanor.

After all, they were in Konoha Village, on the street, where no one dared to act recklessly.

However, Yuya was somewhat surprised when the Chunin actually did act recklessly!

"You're that outsider who survived the destruction of your village and joined Konoha, right? I believe your name is Yuya?"

The Chunin approached with a condescending tone, clearly looking for trouble.

Yuya's expression remained calm as he processed the situation.

He was not well-received in Konoha, but he hadn't provoked anyone.

Wait...

Suddenly, Yuya recalled the incident from over a month ago when he had defeated Izumi Uchiha.

At that time, Izumi had tried to kill him, using powerful jutsu like the Great Fireball. Yuya hadn't held back, and when he defeated Izumi, he had likely broken several of his bones.

Izumi would probably be bedridden for at least a month.

So, this person in front of him must undoubtedly be from the Uchiha clan.

"Who are you to Izumi Uchiha?" Yuya asked, not answering the question but instead countering with one of his own.

The Chunin's eyes flickered with surprise, clearly not expecting Yuya to deduce his identity so quickly.

"I am Uchiha Han, Izumi Uchiha's older brother. Since you've guessed it, you might as well break one of your arms yourself."

Uchiha Han spoke in a flat tone, as if it were a matter of course.

Hearing this, Yuya was momentarily taken aback.

This was the Uchiha clan?!

How incredibly arrogant!
