XuanYan World

XuanYan World (玄焱界)

In the boundless expanse beyond the Nine Heavens, there exists a world of fire and storm, of spirit and sword—a world where ancient bloodlines still stir and the echoes of divine beasts shape destiny. That world is known as XuanYan World.

Forged in the aftermath of the Primordial Beast War, XuanYan World is divided into three great continents—Dragon Continent, Phoenix Continent, and Asura Continent—each one a reflection of the mighty creature whose will carved its foundations. Across these lands, powerful clans and immortal sects stand like mountains, guarding their legacies and fighting for supremacy beneath the ever-watching stars.

---

Dragon Continent – 龙洲 (Longzhou)

A land of thunder-wreathed peaks and deep earth veins, Dragon Continent is a place where the sky roars and the mountains breathe. It is steeped in the energy of lightning and earth, its very soil resonating with the pulse of ancient dragons.

Here, strength is law, and heritage is sacred. Cultivators refine their bodies in storms and temper their spirits in the marrow of the mountains.

Major Clans:

Heavenly Thunder Clan (天雷世家): A noble bloodline descended from a Sky Thunder Dragon. They command the Heavenly Tribulation Lightning and are known to undergo cultivation through forced strikes of divine wrath.

Jade Dragon Clan (玉龙族): Proud and aloof, these dragonkin are blessed with unshakable spiritual force and control over geomantic veins. Their defensive arts are said to be impervious to mortal weapons.

Prominent Sects:

Sky Piercing Sect (破天宗): A thunder-attribute sword sect known for its swift, destructive swordsmanship. Their sword intent can split mountains and silence storms.

Dragon Bone Temple (龙骨殿): Specialists in body refinement, their disciples cultivate with dragon marrow and beast essence. They believe the flesh can become divine.

---

Phoenix Continent – 凤洲 (Fengzhou)

Endless seas of flame, molten valleys, and reborn forests define the landscape of Phoenix Continent. Fire qi is abundant, and rebirth is a way of life. Beneath the twin suns that burn above its skies, those who walk this land are forged by trial and consumed by passion.

Among the flame, the Phoenix bloodline still sings, its inheritance passed down in whispers of fire and ashes.

Major Clans:

Crimson Feather Clan (赤羽世家): Descendants of the Immortal Phoenix. Their blood ignites in battle, and the strongest among them can rise again from death in a blaze of divine flame.

Molten Cloud Clan (熔云族): Masters of flame alchemy and fire element formations. Their domain is veiled in constant smoke, where pills are refined with skyfire and spirit beasts are tempered in molten pools.

Prominent Sects:

Nirvana Flame Palace (涅槃炎宫): A sect that pursues rebirth through destruction. Every disciple must undergo the Nirvana Trial—burning themselves to the brink of death to awaken a second life.

Blazing Lotus Sect (焰莲宗): Known for their elegant but deadly flame techniques. Their lotus arts burn slowly, consuming body, soul, and fate alike.

---

Asura Continent – 修罗洲 (Xiuluozhou)

A continent of crimson earth, war-scarred fields, and endless night. Asura Continent is a realm where only the ruthless survive. Killing intent lingers in the air like incense, and demonic qi seeps from the bones of ancient battlefields.

It is a place where cultivation is war, and peace is a myth. In Asura Continent, strength is earned with blood, and power is taken, never given.

Major Clans:

Blood Asura Clan (血修罗族): Cultivators of the Asura Path, they grow stronger with every battle. Their bodies are soaked in blood qi, and their techniques devour both foe and self.

Nightshade Clan (夜魇族): Hidden in shadow, they are assassins and soul binders. Their blades are silent, their poisons ancient, and their minds trained in illusion and nightmare.

Prominent Sects:

Netherblade Pavilion (幽刃阁): A sect of killers that trains in the art of one-strike death. Their disciples walk unseen and leave nothing behind but corpses and cold wind.

Black Abyss Sect (黑渊宗): Guardians of cursed arts and forbidden scriptures. Their cultivation dances with madness, and their inner worlds are filled with screaming souls

Though each continent thrives in its own way, the balance of XuanYan World has always been precarious. Tenuous truces hold old grudges at bay, while secret realms open without warning and ancient legacies stir once more. The clash between dragon majesty, phoenix flame, and asura wrath is inevitable.

And somewhere within this storm of power and prophecy, a new figure rises—a cultivator fated to shake the very foundations of the world…

XuanYan World. Where fire is born, dragons awaken, and blood remembers.

Clan and Sect Distribution in XuanYan World

In XuanYan World, clans and sects are the backbone of cultivation society. They guard legacies, control vast spiritual resources, and uphold ancient bloodlines and techniques. Yet not all clans or sects are equal in power, prestige, or influence.

To distinguish strength, heritage, and authority, both clans and sects are classified into four grades:

---

Clan Hierarchy

Clans are often bloodline-based, with their strength determined by cultivation foundations, ancestral inheritance, territorial control, and the number of peak-realm cultivators within their lineage.

1. Low Grade Clans

Small family groups with limited spiritual heritage.

Often control only a single village or small territory.

Possess few cultivators above Core Formation.

Example: Stonefire Clan in Phoenix Continent—a local flame cultivator family with modest techniques.

2. Mid Grade Clans

Well-established families with a few generations of cultivation.

Usually have at least one Nascent Soul cultivator.

Control towns or minor cities and maintain alliances with nearby sects.

Example: Storm Serpent Clan in Dragon Continent, known for their lightning-whip arts.

3. High Grade Clans

Possess ancestral legacies or unique bloodlines.

Often house peak Nascent Soul or early Soul Transformation experts.

Wield considerable political and spiritual influence in their region.

Example: Molten Cloud Clan in Phoenix Continent, famed for their cloudfire alchemy.

4. Prominent Clans

Ancient noble bloodlines with divine beast ancestry or heaven-tier techniques.

Have cultivators in Soul Transformation or beyond, often influencing the balance of power in an entire continent.

Usually linked to legendary events or sealed inheritances.

Examples:

Heavenly Thunder Clan – Dragon Continent

Crimson Feather Clan – Phoenix Continent

Blood Asura Clan – Asura Continent

Sect Hierarchy

Sects are cultivation organizations built around shared doctrines, techniques, and spiritual paths. Their classification reflects their martial power, heritage techniques, discipleship quality, and the number of true experts overseeing the sect.

1. Low Grade Sects

Newly formed or declining sects.

Few disciples and shallow inheritances.

May have only a single Elder above Core Formation.

Example: Twilight Ember Sect – A minor flame sect on the Phoenix Continent's outskirts.

2. Mid Grade Sects

Well-organized and respected in a regional setting.

Capable of producing Nascent Soul disciples.

Manage small spiritual mines, forests, or secret grounds.

Example: Iron Vein Sect – A Dragon Continent earth-path sect with a legacy of body cultivators.

3. High Grade Sects

Dominant in major territories.

Hold ancient manuals, spirit beasts, and elite disciples.

Maintain Soul Transformation or higher realm cultivators as guardians.

Example: Blazing Lotus Sect – Their flame techniques rival those of phoenix-blood clans.

4. Prominent Sects

Legendary sects whose names echo through history.

Each possesses at least one Emperor–level elder or equivalent.

Own spiritual mountains, secret realms, or world-grade artifacts.

Control major political and spiritual influence.

Examples:

Sky Piercing Sect – Dragon Continent

Nirvana Flame Palace – Phoenix Continent

Netherblade Pavilion – Asura Continent

---

Balance of Power

In every continent, Prominent Clans and Prominent Sects form the peak of power—often allies or rivals with long, complicated histories. Beneath them, High Grade Sects and Clans act as vassals, while Mid and Low Grade powers fill the realm's veins like capillaries—still vital, yet often at the mercy of greater tides.

As turmoil brews and secret inheritances awaken, these hierarchies may shift, for in XuanYan World...

"Even the most humble root may one day pierce the heavens."
