With that settled, we all climbed into the car that would take us to the hotel.
However, halfway there, I realized running away wouldn't help me.
I rested my hand on the back of Ian's.
He turned to me with a frown.
"We should stay at the mansion," I whispered.
He frowned even more and shook his head.
"No, we don't have to. You don't have to force yourself," he said.
I shook my head firmly.
"No, Ian. I have to face it. I have to live through it so I can finally move on. I don't want that place to become somewhere that terrifies me every time I return."
Whenever Ian came here to fulfill his duties as Alpha, I would come with him.
We would have to stay in the mansion because that was where the Alpha belonged.
Besides, I wanted to restore the mansion before Yorick returned.
To do that, I first had to live in it as it was, face my trauma, heal from it, and then turn it into something new.
"Are you sure?" Ian asked.
I smiled and nodded.
"I'm sure," I replied.
