'Jacob, wake up, dear.' My mother said, rubbing my face as I woke up, she wasn't wearing anything as it was summer and hot, as we lay naked on the bed, making me unable not to look at her like that as I shook my head, trying to control myself. As she stood up, her long red hair hanging down her back, before picking up the bucket and wash cloth, she started to wipe the sweat from her body as I got out of bed. I couldn't stop looking at my mother, she was twenty this year, meaning she was only fifteen when my father lay with her. Well, it is the Middle Ages, so it wouldn't be that unheard of, as I walked over and she smiled. 'Let me wash you.' She said, and I nodded.
I can't tell her no if I do she will cry none stop until I agree making me sigh as she smiled and started to rub my body down making it hard to look as she sat in front of me with her ample chest as I tried to get my mind of it by looking in on my Dino's. The Utahraptors had grown to 18 as I had bought and matured them to the same age as the others. They then started to lay eggs themselves, and Adam and Eve had their first hatchlings, with a total of eight that lived for five months. The Spinosaurus number six right now, and I named the first two Jack and Jill. They are the biggest of the six; the other ones stay out of their way. They should be breeding soon, as I looked at my newly added T-rex.
Taking a lot of time to ensure they were perfect, I had them feature armored, plated scales instead of feathered hair. I added a tail like that of Ankylosaurus, but with spikes on it. These two T-Rexes were my first genetically enhanced dinosaurs, along with the Earth and Fire elements, making them strong. I kept them away from the Spino's and Utahraptors to be on the safe said, I bought normal dinos for their food I noticed that normal Dino's are cheaper then specially made ones so I was able to build a good ecosystem for now as long as I don't add too many carnivores into the mix for now. Naming the two T-Rexes, Cleo and Julius.
'Get dressed, Jacob, we have to go down to the river and do laundry today.' Mother said, making me sigh. She doesn't let me out of her sight, so I haven't been able to level up at all, but I did find out how my Dinosaurs use their elemental natures. Take Jack the Metal nature Spino; he can plate himself in metal armor, making it so he can knock down trees without getting hurt. Or Jill with her Water elemental nature; she can blend into water, making her less noticeable to her prey.
Adam, my Utahraptor, can make himself quite so much so that you wouldn't know he was standing next to you unless you looked at him. Eve can increase her speed tenfold while cloaking herself in lightning. I have been practicing archery as I want to hunt when I'm older. I found out I can add their Aspects to my arrows, making them strong like metal or making them disappear, and so forth. It was an excellent skill to have.
I plan to see if I can combine them today, but my mother makes it extremely hard to get time to myself. Not that I mind, after all, she lost her place, and I am the only one she has, so spoiling her wouldn't be much of a problem. Not that I can do much as a five-year-old right now, as I sighed and nodded. 'Okay, mother.' I said, as she dressed, putting on my clothes, that I couldn't stop stealing glances at her.
As I finished getting dressed, I picked up the basket. I've noticed that my body is a lot stronger than that of kids my age. Most likely because of my aspects from the T-rex's and Spino's, as I carried one under each of my arms, so my mother didn't have to. 'Aren't you a strong little man?' She said, leaning down, kissing my cheek as I blushed. We started to walk towards the river, where the other wives were heading, and the other children were off playing. It wasn't like I wanted to play with them, as I had been focused on getting stronger and taking care of my Dinosaurs.
'Jacob, you're helping your mother again? I wish my son were as kind as you, he likes to play in the forest and get muddy all the time.' A young woman around my mother's age, Kimberly, was a close friend of my mom. 'Of course, I have to protect my mother after all.' I said playing the heroic son, making my mother squirm before hugging me, kissing my cheeks, and making the other woman laugh. As the women started washing the clothes, my nose began to catch a horrible smell. 'What is that smell? It reeks, mother.' I shook my head, making her look at me. 'I don't smell anything?' She said as a scream rang out. 'GOBLIN HORDE!' One of the women said as it lunged towards her, ripping her clothes.
'EVE save her!' I yelled as a circle showed up, and Eve ran towards the woman, lightning fast, biting the Goblin in half. 'Mother, don't ask, you bring the women back to the village. I will hold them off till the men can come.' I said 'NO!' She yelled. As I summoned the other Utahraptors, goblins started to come out of the forest, and I grabbed the bow and quiver from Adam. 'Mother, I don't have time to argue. Go now! This is an order!' I said, making her look at the Utahraptors and bite her lip. 'You will explain everything!' She said before yelling, 'My son will hold them back, run back to the village girls!' As Kimberly and my mother help the women run, leaving only me and my raptors, before looking at me one last time, before running.
'Form a line! We won't let them past!' I yelled as I mounted Adam. I purchased leather armor with metal plates on top for the Utahraptors, enhancing their defense. Pulling an arrow out and coating it in metal before pulling on the string, letting it fly through a goblin's head, killing it. 'KILL THEM ALL!' I yelled as my raptors took off, ripping the goblins with their claws and teeth.
The goblins found it hard to cut them, only able to scratch their unarmored skin lightly as the females wrapped their bodies in lightning speeding through the horde of goblins. There had to be hundreds as the males silently picked off the back line. I would shoot a goblin every time Adam stopped until a fireball exploded next to us, sending me flying off Adam's back. He was lightly burned, meaning he could be hurt with a direct hit. As I looked at the big Goblin in front of me with a staff, jumping back as I fired a lightning arrow towards him, a wall of wind blocked it.
I told Adam to focus on killing the goblins, as I faced this Goblin. We looked at each other as the cries of goblins being slaughtered ran out, making this big Goblin mad. Sending a fireball my way as I sent a fire arrow, meeting it in the air as they exploded on contact, meaning I was equal in strength to his magic. This surprised the Goblin as we walked in a circle facing each other.
Pulling out an arrow and wrapping it in fire while he cast another fireball, I tried adding lightning, only for the arrow to explode on me, making me dodge the incoming fireball as I was sent flying, rolling on the ground until I had gained about forty feet of distance from him and tried again. This time, balancing the aspects equally as his fireball flies out once more, I let the arrow fly. It priced the fireball and flew with great speed, hitting his shoulder as she cried out in pain. I pulled out another arrow, not letting up.
This one went through his knee, sending him down to the ground as Adam pounced at this moment, biting the back of his neck, breaking it. I looked around to see that the goblins had already been killed with only minor wounds on my Utahraptors, as I noticed the village men looking on in the distance as the Utahraptors screamed at them, scaring them as I spoke. 'Those are my friends, you will not attack unless I say so.' Making them stand down.
'You killed a Mage Hobgoblin at the age of five, that's impressive.' And an old man's voice said behind me, scaring me and Adam, as Adam jumped back to my side and screamed. I knew this voice was John's; I hadn't met him since we arrived, and he hadn't shown himself.
