After returning to Floatia from Faulty Ex Machina, the group was in Jijimon's house, looking at the map with him to find out where the next artifact is while having lunch. As they ate, Motimon Digivolved back into Gotsumon.
"Okay, according to this, another artifact that we didn't get is in a place called Absolute Zero." said Lincoln. "If we go through Nigh Plains, and Faulty Ex Machina, we should get there."
"Yes! No trip through Server Desert this time!" cheered Rusty.
"Yes, but you kids should know it's awfully cold in Absolute Zero." said Jijimon. The kids looked at their current attire.
"I don't think we're dressed appropriately for the cold." said Clyde.
"No worries; we have parkas that should keep you kids warm when you're there." said Jijimon.
"That's mighty kind of you, Jijimon." said Liam.
"It's no trouble at all." said Jijimon.
Meanwhile at the Dark Dimension, NeoDevimon and Cerberusmon were trying to figure out their next plan of action.
"It feels weird with it just being the two of us." said Cerberusmon.
"Agreed." said NeoDevimon. "Those human children have become quite a threat to us."
"What should we do about them?" asked Cerberusmon.
"One of the remaining artifacts those children are looking for is in Absolute Zero." said NeoDevimon.
"Do we have any warriors in that area?" asked Cerberusmon.
""Hyogamon is there right now." said NeoDevimon. "And just to be on the safe side; we'll send someone else to try to prevent those brats from even making it there."
"How about Deltamon?" asked Cerberusmon.
"I suppose he'll do." said NeoDevimon. "It's not like we have a lot of options available to us right now."
"Yeah, thanks to those brats, a lot of our Digital World invasion force have been defeated!" said Cerberusmon.
"We have others, but Lord Titamon is saving them for when we invade the human world." said NeoDevimon.
A few minutes later, a large blue dinosaurlike Digimon that had a dinosaur skull for a left hand, and another head with armor plating on it and a long jawline for a right hand as well as two tails; was kneeling in front of the two remaining generals.
"Deltamon; a group of human children and their Digimon partners are on their way to Absolute Zero to obtain an object that would make them a greater threat to us." said NeoDevimon.
"We want you to destroy them before they could even make it there!" said Cerberusmon.
"Human children?" replied the Digimon now revealed to be Deltamon. "Why would I waste my time hunting such pitiful prey?" NeoDevimon just stares at him before he spreads his wings.
"Deep Sorrow." said NeoDevimon as he releases a powerful storm that sends Deltamon flying into a wall.
"Any more questions?!" asked Cerberusmon.
"N-No, sir." said Deltamon as he slowly gets to his feet.
"Now go." said NeoDevimon. "And pray that either you destroy the human children and their Digimon partners, or they destroy you because if you fail and come back, I'll make you wish you didn't." He swipes at the horn of Deltamon's skull hand, making the tip of it fall off.
"Y-Y-Yes, sir." said Deltamon before he runs off.
Later, the group was walking across Nigh Plains on their way to Absolute Zero. As they do, Clyde was looking at his artifact.
"You think we'll ever figure out how these work?" asked Clyde.
"I hope so." said Stella, looking at her artifact.
"Yeah; I wouldn't mind seeing Lilamon again." said Rusty.
"Maybe we need to do something to make them work." said Lincoln.
"Like what?" asked Zach. Before anyone can answer, they hear loud footsteps approaching them fast. They looked to see Deltamon charging at them.
"What is that?!" asked Rusty. Stella points her artifact at Deltamon.
"That's Deltamon; Champion Level, Composite Type, Virus Attribute." said Stella. "Its special attack is Triplex Force." The group looks at the Deltamon as it continued to charge at them.
"You think that feller's working for Titamon?" asked Liam.
"Humans! I will not allow you to get to Absolute Zero, by orders of NeoDevimon!" shouts Deltamon as he continued charging.
"I take that as a yes." said Lincoln. He and Rusty take out their Digivices while the others hold up their artifacts. "Ready, guys?"
"Do you have to ask?" asked Clyde. The kids use their Digivices/artifacts to Digivolve their Digimon to their Champion Forms.
"Let's get him!" said GeoGreymon. He begins to charge at Deltamon. "Horn Impulse!"
"Serpent Bite!" shouts Deltamon, bringing his skull hand forward and biting GeoGreymon's shoulder, causing him to yell in pain; Deltamon then spins around and strikes GeoGreymon with its tails, knocking him to the ground.
"Gaoga Hound!" shouts Gaogamon, lunging at Deltamon with his teeth bared; Deltamon blocks Gagamon's bite with his metal head hand, then he tosses Gaogamon onto the ground, then kicks him.
"Lion Sword!" shouts Leomon, running at Deltamon while unsheathing his sword and swings it at Deltamon, but it blocks the sword with his metal head, then it rams its skull hand into Leomon's gut, knocking him back.
"Lion Claw!" shouts Reppamon, leaping at Deltamon and swings his front claws at it, but it blocks Reppamon's claws with his metal head; it then parried Reppamon's claws, then hits him with his skull head, knocking Reppamon to the ground. Deltamon then begins charging at Sunflowmon.
"Sunshine Gun!" shouts Sunflowmon as she begins firing seeds at Deltamon, but it crosses its hands in front of itself, shielding itself from Sunflowmon's seeds; when Deltamon got close to Sunflowmon, it strikes her with its tails, knocking her to the ground.
"Rock Punch!" shouts Golemon as he charges at Deltamon and throws a punch, but Deltamon grabs Golemon's arm with its skull head, then slashes Golemon across his chest with its metal hand, knocking him to the ground; the other Digimon gathered around Golemon.
"Are you okay?" asked GeoGreymon.
"I'll be fine." replied Golemon as he got up. Deltamon holds out its hands and opens their mouths, along with its own; energy begins to form in all three of them.
"Triplex Force!" shouts Deltamon. The energy in the mouths fire out and form into a large energy beam; it hits the Digimon, knocking them to the ground. Deltamon began approaching the Digimon. "Now, which of you should I finish off first?"
"How about none of us!" shouts GeoGreymon as he and the other Digimon get back up.
"Well, you just made my decision easier." replied Deltamon. It began charging at GeoGreymon. "Serpent Bite!" He thrusts his skull hand towards GeoGreymon, but he swings his tail and hits the skull hand, parrying it, and knocking Deltamon off balance.
"Horn Impulse!" shouts GeoGreymon as he charges at Deltamon and rams it with his horns, knocking it back.
"Powerful Punch!" shouts Golemon as he throws a fist surrounded by energy and punches Deltamon in the gut; it staggers back and it drops to one knee; it then glared at the Digimon.
"Smashing Kick!" shouts Leomon as he jumps at Deltamon and kicks it across its face with the heel of his foot.
"Smiley Slap!" shouts Sunflowmon as she smiles at Deltamon while slapping it across the face. Deltamon began to charge at Gaogamon.
"Serpent Bite!" shouts Deltamon as it thrusts its skull head at Gaogamon, but he jumps up, dodging the attack.
"Double Claw!" shouts Gaogamon as he dives down at Deltamon and scratches it in its face with both of his forepaw claws; Deltamon covered its face with its claws, yelling in pain.
"I'll destroy all of you!" shouts Deltamon.
"That's what you think." said Reppamon. "Rolling Tackle!" Reppamon does an aerial somersault towards Deltamon and slashes it in its torso.
"AAAAAAAAAAUGH!" shouts Deltamon as it begins to disintegrate until it was gone.
"Three heads and not a brain among any of them." said Sunflowmon.
"Way to go, everybody." said Lincoln. The Digimon then returned to their Rookie Forms.
"That takes another one of Titamon's goons." said Rusty.
"I just hope we can get to that next artifact." said Liam.
"Let's just get going." said Stella.
"Wait, before we go." said Lalamon. She turned towards a tall rock that had a Vilemon on top of it; the Vilemon turned and tried to fly away. "Seed Blast!" She began firing seeds out of her mouth and hits the retreating Vilemon; it falls to the ground and disintegrate upon impact. Lalamon turned towards the others. "Okay, now we can get going." The group then continued walking towards their next destination.
At the Dark Dimension, NeoDevimon and Cerberusmon were looking at a projection that had static on it.
"Great; we lost another Vilemon and Deltamon!" shouts Cerberusmon.
"It is important we prevent those human children from reaching the remaining artifacts." said NeoDevimon.
"Yes; because of them, we lost Phantomon and MetalTyrannomon, and I ended up in that blasted Cone of Shame!" shouts Cerberusmon.
"They won't get to Absolute Zero; we will see to that." said NeoDevimon.
Will Lincoln and his friends get to Absolute Zero and claim the artifact there? Wait and find out.
