For once, they didn't go off to bed after dinner. Hades decided to take a romantic walk around their section of the wall. He had seen some couples doing it regularly. All the benches on the base were occupied by pairs when evening set.
Most would be munching on something they had acquired from the market. Others would be listening to music, sharing earphones and cuddling.
Some would be wrapped in blankets, reading a book. Couples could also be found in the bar, on the field and the movie halls. So, Hades had decided that they would join those couples.
Their lives did not have to be about danger and rationing all the time.
His gloved right hand held her left one as they walked down the path leading to the gardens. They did not say anything as they enjoyed the relaxed silence and smiled back at others that gave them more than one interested gaze.
