The anesthetic had just been injected into Li Yongzhi's veins. The surgeons were preparing to cut when the alarm blared. It echoed through the slaughterhouse, even into the operating room.
Zheng Hanshou's expression didn't change. He looked at mercenary commander Chris and asked flatly,
"What happened?"
Chris stiffened. That alarm had only one meaning—the highest danger code, set for threats they couldn't resist. It had never been triggered before. Cold sweat dripped down his temple.
"This means enemies we can't stop. We need to evacuate now. For all I know, the Thai king's army is storming this place."
The doctors froze, scalpels trembling in their hands. They'd just put Li Yongzhi under full anesthesia, but now all of them were ready to abandon the table.
Zheng shook his head, voice cutting.
"No. It's not the army. The Bangkok police are under my thumb. Even if SWAT mobilized, I'd have heard. There's no way."
Chris snapped back, nerves frayed.
"Alarm like this doesn't lie. My men won't last minutes. Take the girl and move—we can operate somewhere else."
Zheng drew a pistol, aiming straight at Chris.
"You panic too fast. No gunfire outside. If this were soldiers, we'd hear it. Your men can buy us time. The mayor doesn't have days left. We do this now."
Chris clenched his jaw. He needed Zheng's protection. Still, his voice hardened.
"We won't last. Bring the girl. If you want the heart, carry her with you."
Zheng finally relented.
"Fine. Take her. But don't lose her. Finding a match like this again won't be easy."
The unconscious Li Yongzhi was lifted from the table. The surgeons moved fast—these were butchers of men, but they were efficient.

Inside the slaughterhouse.
Li Zhongzhi advanced slowly, pistol trembling in his grip. No enemies crossed his path. Only alarms above… and screams in the distance.
He turned a corner—and nearly vomited. Seven, eight bodies sprawled across the floor. Each armed. Each headless. The stench of blood soaked the concrete. Their necks were torn open as though by some monstrous predator.
His hands shook. He'd known these allies were extraordinary, but this was carnage beyond his imagination.
Further in, he found other corpses—cut down with precise sword thrusts, pierced hearts, clean decapitations. These deaths he could stomach. They matched the image of warriors. The headless bodies… those haunted him.
······
Selene, Wesley, Eddie, and John Wick cut through the compound like shadows. They split up, slaughtering everything in their path. Within minutes, the place was empty—except the reinforced operating wing.
At the sealed steel door, Eddie grinned.
"She's in there. Leave it to me."
Venom surged, ready to rip it apart. But before he struck, the door swung open.
Chris himself stood there, trying to lead his men through the hidden passage.
Instead, he found them.
Selene blurred forward, faster than the eye could follow. Chris, Zheng Hanshou, and the doctors were hurled against the walls like ragdolls. Li Yongzhi, limp in a surgeon's arms, was snatched into Selene's embrace.
She checked her pulse. Alive. Relief flickered in her eyes.
"Target secured."
Eddie wasted no time. Venom snapped and swallowed heads whole, crimson splattering across the room.
Selene crouched by Zheng Hanshou's corpse, dipped her fingers in his blood, and brought them to her lips. Memories flooded in—every secret of the trafficking syndicate, every dark deal, every organ stolen. She saw it all.
Her voice was steel.
"This network is finished. They preyed on travelers, tricked the desperate with promises of money, then butchered them for organs. A crime without forgiveness."
She looked down at Li Yongzhi, still unconscious in her arms.
"She's just one victim. There are thousands more."
And tonight, one evil was erased.
