Chapter 333 - Chapter 335: Sha Po Lang — The Greedy Wolf

On the other side of the world…

After a grueling ten-hour flight, Selene and her team finally touched down in Bangkok. As soon as they disembarked, a Rolls-Royce arranged by the local Assassin Brotherhood whisked the four of them straight toward the branch headquarters.

Inside the car, Wesley leaned forward.

"Selene, where do we start?"

Selene glanced at the dossier in her hand before replying.

"First, we meet Li Zhongzhi. See if he has anything new. I've already instructed the Bangkok branch to bring him in. By the time we arrive, he should be waiting for us."

······

At that moment, Li Zhongzhi was once again at the Brotherhood headquarters. His daughter's disappearance had driven him from Hong Kong to Thailand, where he immediately filed a police report. But days had passed with no trace.

A veteran police officer himself, he knew how slow and often useless local channels could be. Through certain underground connections, he had learned of the Assassin Brotherhood—an organization with a fearsome intelligence network stretching across nations. Desperate, he had come knocking.

But when he explained his situation, the staff told him that missing persons weren't their line of work; they dealt with evil powers, not domestic abductions. Unless, of course, he had Brotherhood-issued gold coins for a bounty.

So he emptied his savings—half a million U.S. dollars—to purchase two coins. He put out the task for his daughter's rescue, even pledging one of his Hong Kong apartments as further reward if she was found.

One Brotherhood agent had taken interest. He didn't find the girl, but he uncovered something worse—evidence of organ trafficking and telecom fraud rings thought destroyed, now flourishing again. That intel had gone straight up the chain, and before long, headquarters had dispatched "Judicators."

Standing at the front desk, Li Zhongzhi leaned forward anxiously.

"Yuan Ming, any word on my daughter?"

The receptionist, a Chinese man reassigned from New York, kept his polite smile.

"Mr. Li, not yet. But I do have good news. Your case has caught headquarters' attention. They've sent Judicators—our highest authority. They'll arrive any moment."

Li Zhongzhi frowned.

"My daughter's disappearance… why would that reach headquarters?"

"Don't worry," Yuan Ming replied smoothly. "It only means this matter will be taken seriously."

Though reassured, Li Zhongzhi's stomach churned. If headquarters was involved, it meant something larger was at play. And that made him fear even more for his daughter's life.

Moments later, a stretch Rolls-Royce glided up to the doors. The doormen hurried forward as Selene, Wesley, John Wick, and Eddie Brock stepped out, flanked by the Bangkok branch chief.

Wesley, John, and Eddie wore tailored bulletproof suits; Selene, her trademark black leather. Their presence alone drew stares—an aura of predators among sheep.

Together they strode into the lobby and took the private lift to the top-floor conference hall.

Downstairs, Li Zhongzhi waited restlessly until Yuan Ming's phone rang.

"Yes… yes, I understand." He hung up, then turned to Li.

"Mr. Li, the Judicators wish to see you. Somphat, please escort him upstairs."

Heart pounding, Li followed.

The doors opened, revealing five figures at the long table—four unfamiliar, one local.

The Bangkok branch chief rose.

"Mr. Li, please sit. I am Li Mingyu, the branch head. These four are Judicators from headquarters. They'll be asking you some questions."

Li bowed slightly and took his seat.

"What do you need from me?"

Selene spoke first, voice calm but firm.

"Tell us about your daughter. Have there been any developments since yesterday?"

"Nothing," Li admitted bitterly. "I've shown her photo everywhere. No one's seen her. Tell me—why would my case bring such figures as yourselves? To you, it should be nothing."

Selene's eyes narrowed.

"Because of your commission, we uncovered evidence that the organ traffickers and fraud syndicates we destroyed once before… have risen again here. Headquarters decided to act. And because your case exposed it, our leader has ordered us to find your daughter first—then crush the networks behind her disappearance."

Li's face drained of color.

"You mean… she might be in their hands?"

"It's possible," Selene admitted, "and the probability is high. But based on the timeline, if she is, her chances of survival remain good. We will deploy all resources to locate her."

Li's hands shook.

"What can I do? Tell me!"

Before Selene could answer, Li's phone buzzed. He glanced down—Bangkok police.

His eyes lit up.

"The police… maybe news of my daughter. I filed the report as soon as I arrived."

Selene gave a curt nod.

"Take the call, Mr. Li. It may be the lead we need."
