Evangelin’s expression held a tinge of fear as she looked at Apollonia, seemingly still afraid from their previous encounter.
“I understand.” Apollonia offered a faint smile and rose from her seat without protest, contrary to her expectations. “I didn’t expect you to agree so readily. If you can even lend me your assistance at the level you did last time, I’ll manage the rest on my own.”
“Re-really?” Evangelin’s expression brightened.
Uriel also stood up, following Apollonia’s lead.
“I genuinely wish to foster an amicable relationship with you, Princess,” Apollonia said. She sounded sincere.
