“Let him go,” Apollonia stated after a while.
It was a command, or perhaps more of a request a princess could make, but it was frustrating to have no other option.
Honestly, she felt the urge to smack both Gareth and Balun a hundred times for hurting Uriel. Yet, she couldn’t risk catching Petra’s attention by suddenly exercising her authority.
Apollonia quickly scanned the nobles who held onto Uriel’s arms alongside Gareth, committing their faces to memory. She was determined to make each of them pay, and that was all she could think about.
However, Gareth seemed oblivious to Apollonia’s attempts to handle the situation with tact.
“You seem to be out of your mind, Nia,” he growled disrespectfully in front of everyone.
It was hard to believe he would treat her this way, but his friends seemed to be emboldened after witnessing his arrogance. Balun even wore a cynical smile as he looked at her.
“So, now you’re not afraid of my mother, huh?”
