“The first hatched winged monkey devours everything around it. It even consumes its own siblings and one-eyed crow eggs. They’re born natural gluttons. Ruben even ate five of his own siblings,” Evangelin responded with a casual shrug.
Unlike Apollonia’s surprised reaction, Evangelin appeared to have accustomed herself to the brutal habits of her pets, just thinking that it was exhausting.
“I understand why you keep so many snacks around now.”
Apollonia finally grasped the greedy eating habits of the creatures.
“Exactly. They’re all snacks for the monsters,” Evangelin affirmed.
Then, as if trying to recall something, she reached for some snacks on the table and shoved a handful into her mouth.
Uriel frowned at her actions, a contradiction to what she had just stated. However, upon noticing Evangelin’s obvious fatigue, he chose not to say anything out of pity.
